Chapter 6: A Brief Chat

Hello everyone, thank you for reading this book. At the beginning of this book, I would like to introduce myself and give a general overview of the book's concept.

I have previously written two relatively successful works (well, at least they didn't flop). My author level is about to reach level four. I share this to let you know that I have experience in completing works and take writing seriously, so you can feel confident in following this story. Although my skills are limited, I am committed to doing my best with this book. If there are any shortcomings, I ask for your understanding.

I am a big fan of "Lord of the Mysteries" and just completed my third read-through before the new year. At that time, I had the idea of writing a fanfiction based on it.

But which pathway should I choose? The "Seer" pathway is definitely out of the question as it would conflict with "Klein."

The Goddess of the Night has always been a positive figure (though she has also planned and participated in many conspiracies) and is the true deity of the "Sleepless" pathway. Unless a divine war occurs and the goddess falls, this pathway is hard to develop.

Pathways like "Sailor," "Spectator," "Reader," "Singer," and "Mystic" face similar issues as the "Sleepless" pathway, which was a problem Emperor Roselle encountered.

So, I had to choose a pathway without a true deity to have room for development.

The "Assassin" pathway was out of the question because it would eventually turn the character into a female, which would be quite awkward.

As for the "Hunter" pathway, it's easy to die at the "Provoker" stage.

I also had to avoid pathways polluted by outer gods, like "Mother" and "Moon."

After much consideration, the "Lawyer" or "Arbiter" pathways seemed the most suitable. However, since Hugh is already an Arbiter, the protagonist had to choose the "Lawyer" pathway. This way, when the protagonist becomes an Old One, Miss Hugh can still advance to Sequence 1.

But a new problem arose: how to ascend to the Black Emperor without harming Emperor Roselle?

Fortunately, at the end of the first part of "Lord of the Mysteries," Klein became a half-Old One and obtained the wrong authority from Amon, which provides a lot of room for maneuver. However, the specific method will remain a secret for now.

Some of the readers from my previous two books might be here to support me. They know that while my skills may be limited, my fanfiction won't be embarrassing because I respect the original work and am willing to patiently recreate it based on the original.

Regarding updates, there will be two chapters daily before the book is officially released (as we wait for recommendations, which is customary). After the release, there will be three chapters daily, with occasional additional updates. If the number of monthly votes, recommendation votes, or rewards reaches a certain amount, there will be extra updates. If a reader contributes significantly to the book, there will also be extra updates as a thank you.

In the past two years, I have not missed an update, even when I was sick. The updates are guaranteed. I could write more chapters daily, but that would likely result in filler content, which is a common issue in fanfiction. Although I am not a famous writer, I am also a reader and do not want to do that. I will strive to maintain quality, especially in the later stages.
