Law of the void (PROLOG chapter 5)

Absorbing a part of the void was very different compared to that magus.

The consciousness wasn't able to see any memories, the only thing it got was a feeling.

A feeling of an overbearing emptiness emerging from all those black lines surrounding it.

It felt like some part of it has disappeared, erased from existence itself, but somehow was still there.

Besides that after the devouring of a part of the void, time lost all meaning to it, unlike before when staying inside the void was a torture itself now it didn't really care.

It still wanted to leave, but from its perspective if it would leave in a billion, trillion or quadrillion years it all felt the same.

If it had to stay here for an eternity so be it, after all it knew, at some point it will be able to either get strong enough to escape or devour the void completely before tearing that whole place down.

For now, it would wait until something appeared within its reach and repeat that process of using these things to bait the void and devour it part for part.

But first It would try to understand the changes of itself and try to comprehend with these black lines on its body the law of the void.

But it soon realized, after comparing its process with that of the devoured magus, that comprehending the laws of the void was way harder and took an eternity longer than even the laws of space that magus comprehend.

After comparing its progress with the magus, it concluded that completing the laws of the void would be impossible for any living being.

Even if some beings reached immortality, they shouldn't be able to understand even a bit of it.

Just like the consciousness wasn't able to learn the laws of space from that magus because space was not present in the void, a normal living being wouldn't be able to comprehend the void.

If one wanted to learn it they had to experience it and experiencing it would mean to stop to exist.

That consciousness didn't know at this point why it was ignored by the void or why it somehow was able to exist and not exist at the same time after gaining these black lines, but for now it couldn't find an answer to that.

So for now it continued what it was doing, comprehending the laws of void while waiting for some bait to get within its vicinity, so it could devour more of the void.

And so the years passed by, after uncountable years the white sun had grown enormously.

Black runic runes reaching every party of it, these were signs of its completion of the void laws.

By now it had become stronger than it ever imagined, it wasn't just some helpless little thing helplessly floating in the sea of void.

It became a ruthless hunter after reaching 51% of its law of the void.

It learned how to move inside the sea of void by pushing away the surrounding void.

Furthermore, it didn't have to wait for something to appear within its vicinity, instead as soon as something appeared it was there, there to eagerly wait and to devour more of the void to strengthen itself.

It still wasn't able to directly devour the void it had to wait for it to wrap itself around an object or another consciousness to devour it, but that didn't matter for it.

Furthermore, it theorized that after reaching 100% completion in the void laws, it would be able to fight the void directly.

A few years later it reached 99% the once shining White sun had become almost completely black, only small parts were still shining through the darkness.

,,Almost" it thought, even though time had lost all meaning, it was still an incredible long time in here, but now it was almost able to leave.

It could already feel the thin barrier that separated the domain from reality, 1% that was all I would take.

By now the void changed a lot, the all consuming darkness was gone it looked more grayish than black and it needed several minutes to devour something.

This made it even easier for that consciousness to move around the sea of void to find spots to devour.

The void became weak, whenever the consciousness devoured a part of it and rose towards completion of the void laws, the void lost some strength.

The consciousness imagined an epic battle after reaching 100% where it and the void would fight for supremacy over that domain, but by the one's almighty void became pitiful in the eyes of the consciousness.

It still wasn't able to grab it and devour it directly, but It didn't matter, a few more years and it would be over.
