The novel is basically comedy in its first stage and the chapter 1 is kind of repulsive but bear with it till chapter 15 before you make any decision. The chapters will be short with about 800 words but may improve later on demand. The daily release is two chapters and an extra chapter might be there if I am too happy.

Unenviable

"Good motivation inspires", an undeniable fact but it is rare for someone to get good motivation and even more challenging task is to uphold that inspiration.

LoL, because we all know that there are more despairing things in life than encouraging ones.

But, Illyum was a boy with unenviable curiosity and willpower.

No, not John Wick, but still good enough.

If a normal child is curious about something, he asks about it to someone and eventually forgets about it on getting no answer.

This is one of the greatest weaknesses of mankind.

The weakness of not inheriting the legacy of the miniscule lifespan of their ancestors.

But as a main character, Illyum was different, too different.

First of all, if he doesn't get any answer, he would leave you alone and search some books. If there isn't anything in books, he would find it out himself.

That is the greatest strength of Illyum and bane of the people around him.

By the age of ten, he seems to have differed most of the daily applicable science and then his attention shifted towards the great art of magic.

Being the son of the great Mercenary King, his talks were soon spread around the country that how much of a genius in natural philosophy he is.

So, it was literally impossible for the magic association and Zagrath academy to miss this news.

They immediately sent some envoys to the mercenary king to recruit him.

Mercenary king Green at first denied due to the rift between mercenaries and mages but boy's curiosity took over and he literally ran away from his home to enjoy books of the academy.

The mercenaries almost started a war until the royal family itself had to intervene.

The misunderstanding got resolved and now the kid had become an intern student of the Zagrath Academy.

To ensure his safety, Knight Rishta also got enrolled by the royal family since Ilyum already started to show the signs of a valuable resource.

To get completely enrolled, he would have to present a research paper that would coronate him as a bona-fide magician.

Defying all the common sense he rediscovered the ancient art of making Golems in just 4 years making him the youngest Count mage to ever exist.

There are several ranks of magicians going from Baron mage to Earl mage.

Although, rediscovery of golem art was a feat, it still needed some mechanical means with someone controlling it to work unlike ancient ones that could move on their own, with or without any mana source.

Despite all this, genius are normally bound to be quite eccentric.

And the royal knight Rishta was handling this abnormality.

"I am about to make a breakthrough again."

The almost 18 year old young man's teeth clattered in excitement as he was going through a mountain of books in darkness.

His smile seemed to be getting wider and scarier with every page turned as he pushed up his glasses every five seconds with his long nailed fingers.

"Ilyum, may I go? You are creeping me out." Rishta shivered more and more, the longer she stays close to this abnormality.

"Yeah, you need to go away and bring me at least 60 slimes, few dried and cleaned bones of a Valor deer, ....a tank full of acid of Aslan, and a tentacle of Naskelier krakens."

"I am not your servant you bastard, and what even are those disgusting things, I am not touching any of those."

She shied away as she reached out to the door.

"Lady, I will tell you some facts about your new boyfriend if you bring me those things within 3 days."

Rights's eyes lit up but she still with a little hesitation asked, "Make a list..."

Illyum stood up and smiled as he got forward and patted on her head.

"Good kid."

"I am not a kid." Her cute expression disappeared as she took out a sword from her spatial magic and pointed it at Illyum.

Illyum kept his finger tip on the tip of the sword and pushed it away as he sighed toward the girl that can only reach his chest with her maximum height.

"Shorty, you have got some hot nerves."

"I am of average height... it is you who is abnormal, dumb ass four green-eyed giant."

"Foul mouthed woman."

"I would prefer to go to prison for killing an abnormality like you."
