Chapter 112 - Gramev, The Finance

Axel and Navi walked for several hours until they reached a small mountain house nestled between the trees. Navi led Axel inside, where they were greeted by an elderly man sitting by the fireplace.

"Ah, Navi, it's good to see you," the man said, smiling warmly at her.

"Hello, Gramev," Navi replied, returning the smile. "This is Axel; he's a friend."

"Nice to meet you, Axel," the old man said, extending a hand.

Axel shook his hand and introduced himself. They all sat down by the fireplace and began to chat. The old man, whose name was Gramev, was a skilled NEN user and had been a mentor to Navi when she was younger.

Navi then started talking to Gramev.

"Is Ekail others came already ?"

Gramev nodded and started talking.

"They went to the forest for hunting. In eight hours, a small special airship will come here to take you guys out."

Navi took a deep breath and then turned to Axel.

"I will be sending two billion jennies to your account. It is the upfront payment of the mission."

Axel nodded and said nothing. She already knew his account number. Axel did not show, but earning two billion right now made him feel good about himself. It seems like something about humans does not change at all.

Humans always liked to earn something, and as time progressed, earning in this context turned into money and valuable things, such as gold and silver.

After Navi sent the money, Axel opened his phone and called his manager.

"So, I want you to check my account balance and use one billion dollars to buy new hotels for me."

After Axel fixed the things with his finances, he started to think about what kind of things he could build with the money he had.

Navi and Axel waited patiently for the arrival of Ekail, Ezar, and Ely. After a while, they appeared with a deer-like creature, and they started cooking it over an open fire. The delicious aroma of the cooking meat filled the air, and Axel's mouth began to water.

As they ate, Navi started discussing the plans and positions within the group, as well as the duration and purpose of their mission. They went over the details of the mission, discussing the potential obstacles and challenges they may face. Axel listened carefully, nodding along as Navi explained the importance of their mission and the role each of them would play in achieving their goals.

After the meal, they sat around the fire, enjoying the warmth and each other's company. They shared stories of their past missions and adventures, laughing and joking as they reminisced. As the night wore on, they began to settle down, preparing for a long day ahead.

First thing in the morning, everyone got up and looked at the airship in front of them; it was not too big and not too small, just enough to carry ten people at the very most.

The pilot showed himself and started talking.

"Everyone, let's get in; we should go before the rain falls."

Axel, Navi, Ekail, Ezar, and Ely looked at each other and then entered the airship as it took off.

The pilot started talking as he looked back at their faces.

"It will take us four hours of travel to reach the island; keep in mind that only after one week will the communication center close to the island be set up, so you guys cannot talk to the outside world for one week."

Everyone nodded, understanding that the mission they were going to join was an important and big one.
