Viktor was suffering from the combination with the divine power of chaos. This was what was causing his sudden problems.

While his path was unique in that he was not currently blessed by any living god, it was not a new power.

To become a demigod, he merged with the power of chaos. This changed his senses, but he couldn't get used to it completely. Still, it wasn't all bad either.

As he mixed with this power his eye became more powerful. And his overall power also became much more powerful, along with a great improvement in his control of chaos.

Now Viktor could even balance the mana around him a bit, which meant changing the mana ratios in the environment, causing others who couldn't do this to lose more energy.
