9. Am a big bad guy

Unique sat in the dining room having her meal for the evening, she had spent the whole day with an empty stomach, the event made her lose her appetite.

Surrounding her was several maid's who didn't make a move or say a word.

For some reason she wasn't served meal she couldn't eat.

She looked at the bald man who had introduced himself as the butler earlier and asked.

"Where's Garrett?"

She had hoped to see him and thank him, and maybe ask a few questions about how he knew she was getting married, he didn't seem like the one to pay attention to news.

"Mai lady lord Garrett is out at the moment he would be back before night falls", Fernandez said to her.

He still couldn't believe his lord had saved a weak human girl, she was no where near his taste, not like he had one but definitely not a human a weak one at that. His lord despise anything small and fragile, he couldn't handle the thought of them breaking with just a little move.

Fernandez stare at the fair lady from in-between his brow wondering what was so special she had to carry around his lord markings.

Unique was done eating, she stood up the ridiculously long dining and walk out the dine room.

*Fisher mansion*

Ambrosia came down the car she was back from visiting her grandparents in Viewpoint town, she walked straight to the mansion porch where the door was open upon her.

She walk in on her mom who was busy having a tea with a wife of an official. Her father was the town mayor and he is greatly respected amongst the higher class as their family consist of pureblood.

"Hello mother "

Ambrosia greeted, her mother put up a smile showing her fake sweetness which she never had, in front of the woman present.

"Ambrosia my darling, how's Viewpoint, I have missed you dearly" her mother responded giving her a pat on the face.

"Of course you have" Ambrosia replied.

Her mother and her never really agreed on a thing, Mrs Fisher was an arrogant pureblood vampiress, she is full of pride and spite for the lower class, all she cares about is her reputation.

"Is that Ambrosia dear she has grown more bigger" the lady beside her mother said Ambrosia simply roll her eyes.

"Of course Mrs Carter, I feed my family the best" Mrs Fisher replied.

"Ambrosia is old enough to get married, I hope you have men lined up to get her married to" Mrs Carter said.

"Surely you would be receiving an invite soon " Her mother said to Mrs Carter who only smiled in response.

Ambrosia nodded adding.

"Yeah to her marriage anniversary, you see my mother likes making everything special and showing off, you should come see that day, maybe you will learn to keep your husband at bay and not pursuade others to get married "

Came Ambrosia voice, her mother flushed in embarrassment. If her mother thought she was going to trap her in a unrequited marriage, then she's gravely mistaken.

Ambrosia walked away not after giving the ladies an almost honest smile.

The next morning Unique woke up to the curtain being drawn and the streak of sunlight shining in.

Unique sat up her bed to see Fernandez bowing at her.

"Morning my lady, it already 10:30 in the morning, I believe you have things to be taken care of, or do you wish to continue laying in bed?" Fernandez said to Unique who yawn at his speech.

"Are you a human alarm or what, but I appreciate the gesture any way, I will be down in a few minutes"

Fernandez made his way out nodding.

Unique made her way into the living room after she had freshen up, her things weren't with her yet but she plan on getting them later.

As soon as Unique alight the last stairs, the door to house open and Garrett walk in, Unique face light up immediately and her smile widen more when she saw who was behind him.

"Miss unique!!" Sophie called walking in rapidly while maintaining her manners, Garrett made made no movement to look at the two women, they were entitled to their work.

"Oh Sophie" Unique called, she looked behind Sophie to see Garrett talking to his butler who listen attentively.

"How could you run away from the wedding, you didn't inform me, you didn't show up at the alter, your aunt is really mad and your uncle is worried"

Sophie said to Unique whose brow was raised surprised.

"I didn't show up??" Unique said.

Sophie shook her head and continue.

"That Mister approached me earlier and told me he knew where you are, am thankful for his kind gesture " Unique nodded her head at kind which was the opposite of what he meant. Garrett shouldn't be described as kind.

"Lord Garrett " Fernandez interrupted Sophie who turned to look at the middle age Spanish bald man.

"Pardon " said Sophie.

"From now on , you will address him as lord Garrett as he will be yours" Fernandez said .

"But Miss Unique is my employer," Sophie said, Fernandez simply look at her not saying another word, Sophie return his looks.

Unique could fell the incoming tension between the two, she suddenly interrupt not to start a fight, as Sophie was still clueless about what going.

"Um Sophie how about you go with Fernandez so he could show you where to keep your things" Sophie didn't argue any further but reluctantly follow Fernandez upstairs.

Garrett walk towards Unique who smiled at him, he didn't return it though.

"Smile any further than that then your face might tear" Garrett said which made Unique lose her smile immediately.

"You should at least learn to be nice" Unique said and he shrug.

He pulled her and they made their way back up the stairs and into Garrett room.

"You can't fearlessly walk into my room like that" Unique scowl as soon as they were in.

Garrett raise his brow at her saying.

"This is my room little kitten"

Unique stare at him confused, she finally turn to look at her bestowed room only to see it indeed matched Garrett taste.

"There have been a mistake, the maid said it was my room, don't tell me we are sharing a room" Unique eyes widen, she didn't expect this sudden Change it was going too fast.

Garrett ignored her and approach his wardrobe, he look at the dress neatly hanged and pulled it out.

He turn and dump it on Unique's hands, she raise her brow questioning.

"We going somewhere" he said and walk pass her into the bathroom.

Garrett step out mansion with unique behind, he didn't take his car along, he watch as Unique adjusted her red gown before raising her head to look at him.

"Took you long enough to adjust that", he gesture his hands forward for her to receive.

"What? Are we planning to dance on the street"

Unique said in a sarcastic gesture, his style.

"Your wish," he grab hold of her hand and they dematerialize from the front gate of the estate.

Nolan walked into the banquets of one of the officials who was celebrating his birthday.

Lord Lucas, his mansion was big enough to hold almost two hundred guests. The higher class were busy mingling amongst themselves discussing what they believe to be expensive details.

Nolan proceeds to congratulate the man of the day.

"Happy birthday lord Lucas,"

"Oh official Nolan what a pleasure to see you spare your precious time and honor my invitation"

Nolan smiled the man stood with his wife and daughter who was in her mid twenties.

"How's the case of the missing children in Maldives, has any news been brought forth yet?" Lord Lucas went down to discussing business almost immediately.

His wife frown saying.

"Didn't you promise not to discuss business today, I thought you promised with your heart crossed", Nolan smiled at the couple, they were talking couple business, Nolan decided to excuse himself and made his way to other familiar people in the room.

Unlike others he didn't bring a date with him, as he was discussing with other officials, from the corner of his eyes he saw Garrett walk in with a delicate looking female.

She was the prettiest in the room, her red gown matching her skin beautifully and her hair down around her shoulder.

Her wide eyes look around the room curiously and for a moment he felt she was new to this environment.

"Garrett"

Garrett turn to see one of the court officials walk up to him, Unique stood beside him staring widely and a little way too much. They we're in the midst of predators who could pounce on her in no seconds and she wasn't scared rather curious about them.

They were in the realm of supernatural where vampires proudly walk around in their true nature, their red eyes prudent and their fangs peeking down their lips.

Few of the people present were either werewolves or other supernatural beings in disguise.

"Julian"

Julian walk up to them, he was a junior of Garrett at the court, his curly hair bounce along with him.

"Sir am sorry for the interruption" he said he gave Unique a brief nod before continuing.

"The DNA report we found in the dead man body was stolen just this morning", Garrett look over at Unique and then said.

"Kitten how about you explore a little, but don't get your self into trouble" Unique nodded she had been itching to talk to other at the party.

Garrett watch her walk away his eyes never leaving her.

"The DNA report came this morning, it was reported to the counselor office, but when we went to get it ,it was gone" Julian said.

"Meaning?"

"I reported this to official Cassius and he believes there's a mole amongst us in the court"

"Hmm, another headache, do you have any clue who it may be" Garrett said he watch as Unique spoke to a lady who was part of the nobles and she introduced her to the rest of her friends, seems she mingle with new people quite well.

"The last person who was seen going to the counselor office was official Jacob, but the man's reputation was clean and nothing was found on him"

"Well keep a look out on him, I hope I won't have to bring my Skype to his door step"

Julian clear his throat wearily, he knew Garrett jokes at times aren't really funny.

Garrett could see from the corner of his eyes Unique talking to Lord Nolan, the ever gentleman.

Unique laughed as she chatted with Lord Nolan, she finds it a bit strange that everyone present was addressing their selves with title.

"I wish I will could visit Maldives soon, sounds like a fun place" Unique said.

"Maldives has always been peaceful,we will be throwing a town fair next week, please grace us with your present lady Unique"

"Of course it will be a pleasure of mine to be there"

"Town fair?" Garrett said walking over to them, his presence seems more darker as he was exuding so much of his presence.

"Lord Garrett " Nolan called addressing him with his title.

"Lord Nolan, you are inviting her to a fair is the invitation special for each person " Garrett asked.

"Well lady Unique here seems to be new in town, in, she seems curious about a lot of things so they thought it would be nice to have her at the fair" Nolan said and Unique nodded which Garrett glare at .

"Of course fair, Unique dear do you wish to go to a fair filled with predators a very wild one at that? " Garrett asked .

Unique scowl at him, was he trying to discourage her, she wasn't changing her mind even if he tries hard.

"Well you know how I have lived my life so far, am happy with little things as long as I get to stay out doors" Unique said.

"Lord Nolan I believe you have other people to greet at the party " Nolan taking that as a clue, he excuse himself from the two and Walk away.

"When I say explore, not you going to talk to bigger predator, you silly girl"

"I didn't do anything wrong, he was just trying to be nice by keeping my company"

"Has mine worn out, that you needs others?" Garrett said.

Unique glare up at him before snapping back.

"You sent me away remember"

"You could have refuse to, you said you could win my heart is this how to, because you are pissing me off every time you make a move, those tiny legs of yours keeps leading you to trouble."

"My legs aren't tinny,"

"Stay away from Nolan, he's bad" Garrett said

"But he was nice to me " Unique said back to him.

"No vampire is nice, you are ruining their reputation by saying that"

"Not you?" Unique asked.

"No am a big bad guy" Garrett said, Unique big doe eyes stare up at him.
