Chapter 2 — Zack VS Rain

"There was this kid whom I deemed worthy of being my rival," the mysterious man said, with many beaten bodies lying on the ground.

"Eh?" the bespectacled man replied.

"Rain, my greatest masterpiece. Out of all the people I've trained, nothing compares to that monster I've created." the mysterious man smirked with excitement.

"You're a pervert."

-

"W-what the fuck just happened?!" the bullies exclaimed as they witnessed Zack, the Zack Lee, faint.

"Holy crap."

Rain supported the young man as he took him to the infirmary.

'I shouldn't have done that' Rain thought as he walked through the classroom halls, with students making way for them, their eyes wide in shock.

"H-He beat Zack Lee," some people who witnessed it muttered.

'I couldn't even see his punch.' Daniel thought with wide eyes. This enigmatic transfer student had shocked the entire Fashion Department.

Mira made her way to the infirmary. She didn't like it when Zack fought. It made her angry, but that didn't mean she was angry with him. She just didn't want him to get hurt.

As she walked into the infirmary, she passed Rain, who was on his way to the room.

"Hello, I apologize for what happened earlier. He doesn't have critical injuries. I just stopped him to prevent further commotion," Rain spoke to Mira.

"It's okay. I also want to apologize for what happened. I didn't mean to ruin your first day."

"I should get going. See you guys soon," Rain replied as he walked to the room.

The atmosphere was awkward as his classmates discussed how strong Rain was. He was so fast that even they didn't see what happened.

"Did you guys even see what Rain did?"

"No, from my perspective, Zack just fainted. I didn't even see it coming."

Rain walked past them, making his way to his seat, looking out of the window beside him, paying no attention to the guys talking about their fight earlier.

---

"He beat Zack Lee in one shot?" the man with sunglasses asked.

"Zack Lee lost?"

"You said he's handsome, popular, and can fight?" the well-built young man known as Euntae Lee (Vasco), with tattoos on some parts of his chest and arms to cover up the vulgar tattoos bullies had carved into him in middle school.

"He's just like Eli. They're going down together. T-T" he added, tears flowing from his eyes.

-

"Ugh, where am I?" Zack spoke as he opened his eyes, lying on a bed in the infirmary with Mira watching over him.

"Zack, you're awake! How are you feeling?"

"Good. Also not good. I can't believe Mira witnessed that beating I got from that guy."

"What's more, those eyes of his, I saw them. I don't know what would have happened if he had beaten me up. I don't want to know," Zack thought with a shocked expression and a glint of fear in his eyes.

"Hm? Are you not feeling well, Zack?" Mira looked at him.

"I feel good. Thank you, Mira, for taking care of me."

Mira blushed.

"N-No problem."

They walked their way through the classroom halls, talking, laughing, and looking at each other. Zack didn't know that Mira only had eyes for him, just as he had set his eyes on her.
