____Lohan Pov____

It was a surprise to see that after waking up, my house hadn't been broken into, and it was an even bigger surprise to see little Eli Jang sitting on my sofa, as if waiting for me to wake up.

I was still very suspicious of the boy, and even though he hadn't contacted Olly Wang yet, that didn't mean I still trusted him.

But seeing how the boy was still there, just waiting for me to wake up, put me on the right track for that.

I clearly remember the boy's motivations with the families he was placed with against his will, and they usually involved money, or goods offered by the government. When the families got their hands on one of these things, they would discard the boy, or he would rob them, taking their possessions to Olly.

But I don't have anything valuable in my house, just an old sofa and some rusty pans, which are about to give me tetanus at any moment.

So why was little Olly still here? The boy was smarter than the average child, and I'm sure he could tell the difference between someone who had money and someone who could barely make ends meet.

So why?

Well, the best answer I can come up with is that the boy has hope.

I vaguely remember the boy being happy when he was considered part of the family by one of his lying parents, who were only using him to get government benefits.

At the end of the day, they're still just a child. A show of affection, concern, empathy, would be more than enough to affect them, no matter how traumatized they were.

"Good morning, Eli." I greeted, receiving a nod in response.

But hopeful or not, he is still a child raised by Olly Wang to be a copy of Eli Jang, which naturally made him suspicious and antisocial.

I can't expect to make much progress so quickly.

Moving into the kitchen, I wasted no time in preparing breakfast. I wouldn't want to be late for school.

I could make progress in helping the boy when I get back, if he were still here.

"Sorry, kid. But for breakfast, we only have instant noodles."

"..."

He didn't seem to be bothered by my statement, so I just concluded that he had accepted it...

I can't take any more instant noodles.

____Narration____

At J High School, Jay Gal was sitting on one of the toilets in the bathroom, sweat dripping down his forehead as nervousness overflowed his entire body.

"Shit, shit, shit. My mom made me come to school!"

The boy was clearly afraid, but what could it be?

"Lohan is going to kill me!"

It didn't belong to anyone but Lohan. Since he had created the whole situation for Lohan to face Vin Jin, he immediately realized from the look he received that he wouldn't get away with it.

Fearing for his life, he tried to pretend to be ill, but his mother knew him well enough to spot the lie, sending him to school with a thumping.

With nowhere else to go, he suddenly plucked up courage and decided to face his destiny. He was a bully after all! He had served Logan Lee himself! What should he be afraid of...?

Of course, that courage vanished the moment he set foot in the classroom. Fear immediately made him isolate himself in the bathroom.

Fortunately, Lohan had not yet arrived to see where he had gone, so despite his nervousness, he still felt calm, as he had hidden in the first-years' bathroom.

Never in his right mind would Lohan think of looking in that place... At least that's what he thought.

*Bells

Hearing the bell indicating the break, Jay breathed a sigh of relief, opening the door to where he was as some of the first-years began to fill the bathroom.

At that moment, he felt safe. Lohan wouldn't have the courage to do anything against him at break time, since other students could easily report him, and that would surely get him expelled.

Stopping in front of one of the sinks, Jay wiped his face with water, a smile of relief on his lips.

"Okay, now, I just need to keep hiding until everyone leaves." Jay muttered as he wiped his face, his head lifting to look at himself in the mirror.

"That's a great idea."

But the moment his eyes landed on his own reflection, his face filled with dread as he could clearly see Lohan standing behind him, the same one with an indifferent expression, which only caused even more fear in poor Jay's heart.

"A-Ah! Lohan-Master! I was about to meet you!" Jay turned around slowly, icy sweat dripping from his face as he raised his hands in submission.

Lohan stared at him for a few seconds, her hand slowly resting on the top of the boy's head while he maintained his indifferent expression, a situation that caught the attention of all the first-years in the room.

"I'm going to kick your ass, I believe you know that." Lohan cracked a scary smile, tears threatening to well up in the corner of Jay's eyes.

"N-No! Wait! If you do that, everyone here will report you!" Jay declared in desperation, but this didn't seem to affect Lohan.

"Oh, really?" Turning her head to look at the first-years on site, Lohan raised an eyebrow as they left the venue with their heads down. "I think you're wrong."

Jay's eyes filled with dread as his last hopes were shattered, a nervous smile on his lips as tears pooled in his eyes.

"C-Could you please not hit me?" As a last resort, Jay tried to politely stop him.

"..."

But Lohan didn't seem to buy his attempt.

"You know you deserve it, the sooner you accept it...

It will be less painful."

.

Minutes later, the class was startled when Jay entered the room, everyone's attention focused on his face, which was bruised and swollen.

A clear indication that he had taken a beating...

But after the initial shock, no one seemed to mind.
