Chapter 9

When she heard a knock on the door, Miranda said loudly, "Come in."

"Hey," Eric said. Miranda was surprised to see him there, smiling at her.

"Hey," she said hesitantly.

"May I take a seat?" He asked her.

"Oh, yeah... I apologize. Please take a seat?" She scratched her forehead. "So, what is it that has brought you here?" She asked him curiously.

"I have been thinking a lot about everything relating to us, and I am tired of us shouting and insulting each other. Things may have changed significantly in the past, but you are still the woman I have always loved and the mother of my child, so I wanted to call a truce." He explained everything to her.

"I am not sure how to respond to that, Eric. I think I'd like that." With a small smile, she agreed with him.

"So, as a friendly gesture, would you like to have dinner at my place, your place, or any restaurant, whatever you prefer?" He proposed to her.
