Falling In Love
I had loved him for 9 years and to this day I still can't think of a world without him. Our mums had been high school best friends so we met on a play date at a young age. I was 6 and he was 9. We go to different schools so we barely saw each other. The day I fell in love with him had been so strange in my heart. I had never felt a love so strong before. I was only six, I could barely read yet I had already experienced child love. He was a God in my eyes. But as time passed he only became more handsome.
I was 8 and a half years old when I realized I couldn't have him all to myself. We were meeting for another play date at a fun park when we found a girl from his school. Instead of hanging out like we usually do, he had ran off with his school friend and I was all alone. I had found a place to hide and sang a song to myself. I didn't care if he heard it and I didn't care if he had kissed his school friend. I just knew this was my first heartbreak. I had sung a song to myself about heartbreak and even shed a few tears. My heart had been chipped so deeply that it couldn't be sewed back together. That was the day I wouldn't like him again.
As time passed on, we saw each other less until we never saw each other again. I had presumed he had a girlfriend to worry about or was too old for me. I became to like him less as time went on but eventually Cupid had different plans.
My name is Kiara and his name is Joshua. We are three years apart and our birthdays are three days apart.
I had just joined his high school, my first day. I was in year 9 at the age of 13 turning 14. I had walked through the gates with a smile on my face. I had high expectations that my day would go well. After I walked in a few steps and went to a welcome table with two boys. "Hello I'm Sam and this is Adrien." Sam was a boy with bright red hair and freckles all over his face and Adrien had deep brown hair and the deepest eyes in the world. "Welcome to Ruttle high school, what's your name?" Asked Adrien. "My name is Kiara Williams." Adrien had handed me my timetable and I was off.
As the day went on, I had gotten a few friends along the way. Until it had finally reached 3:00. My mum wasn't going to pick me up till 3:45 anyways so I headed to my locker, to put my things away. I heard footsteps behind me but didn't turn around. I felt the cooling sensation near my ear and the aura of a person behind me. A deep male's voice whispered into my ears. "Hey," Before he could finish his sentence my instincts had kicked in and my elbow was stuck out and I had turned around fast. I expected to hit someone in the face hard but my elbow was caught. He had his hands grasped at my elbows so I couldn't run away. The mystery man had turned me around until I was facing him.
It was Sam! I couldn't believe it and he was being such a creep! I was about to try and make a run for it when I heard Adrien coming down the halls. Sam expected Adrien to help him fight me but to my surprise Adrien had ran up to him and punched him the face! Sam had freed me from his grasp and took a few steps back. Adrien put his hand over me protectively and said. "If you get anywhere near this girl, I'll give you another I'll hit you till you can't get back up again." Sam had already started to turn around and run away. After Sam had ran a few steps until he had turned a corner, out of sight. Adrien had turned around and said. "Are you alright Kiara?" He was so dreamy at this point, I couldn't believe he saved me. "How do you know my name?" Adrien gave me a puzzled look and said. "You told me this morning at the front gate." I had snapped out of dreamy mode and said calmly. "Right!"
Adrien was giving me a look. "No wonder, Sam was hitting on you. You're beautiful." Heat rushes to my cheeks and I could feel my heart pounding. I was never called beautiful by a boy before. I was about to reply when my worst nightmare had began. A slam on the lockers and I turned around to see Joshua my childhood crush.
