4 Vengeance 1

At midnight one could observe a lone boy walking somewhere at a fast pace on Daedalus Street.

Although that boy was looking a bit suspicious with his cloak on his head, nobody took his appearance as odd since it was quite normal for shady people to visit Daedalus Street.

But, if one looked carefully enough, one could observe the features of this lone boy.

He has black hair and black eyes deep like an abyss. Although he looks a bit thin, he is not too skinny. He has a height of 1.65 meters, and his face has sharp features.

Even though he looks young, his face says he saw many things in his life. You can deduce from the expression he is making right now that he is going to do something very important in his life.

Even though his face still has its babyishness, combined with his sharp features and his serious expression, he looks like he is some sort of celebrity from the earth.

After walking for almost an hour, it looks like the boy reached the place where he wanted to.

However, it looks like that boy was not planning anything good since he started to watch around to see if there was someone passing around and if there was someone in the house he was in front of.

After checking for a bit, he decided to go in. He checked the lock of the door of the house, and by the looks of it, he had the key to the house.

He slowly opened the door and stepped inside the house.

After walking slowly for a bit, he stopped and started listening to the voice coming from the basement.

It seems like this house has one more floor under the entrance one.

And by the looks of it, there are people in the basement talking loudly.

At that moment, we can see that the boy has stopped moving fully, and he has bloodshot eyes. It seems like something got him very angry, and this won't end well.

With that, he started moving again, albeit slower than before, with almost nonexistent sound.

Although, one can see from his trembling hand and other clenched hand the anger of the boy.

And after reaching the basement, the boy stopped again to listen to the people who were talking in there.

"Hey, the haul we got today looks super tasty. The last adventurer bastard gave us quite a lot of money, you know. If it weren't for Wayne, we would miss the opportunity to make 10000 Valis. Ahahahaaha, that bastard for sure liked to play the leader. He must have been killed by that angry adventurer right now, and since the adventurer didn't see our faces, he couldn't reach us either. That bastard was getting on my nerves for quite an amount of time."

Said the boy sitting on the couch while drinking something. The boy has red hair, blue eyes, with a slightly handsome face. But he can't even compare with the black-haired boy in terms of appearance. He also had a bit bulky appearance, certainly bigger than the black-haired boy.

And it looks like they are celebrating something since they are drinking while toasting from time to time.

"Yes, he liked to play leader. You know I let him with his bossy attitude since he was good at deducing targets and commanding. But he was getting on my nerves too. If it weren't for his brother being best friends with my older brother, I would have asked my brother to kill him long before today."

Said a girl sitting on the lap of the boy. He has orange hair, green eyes, and a slender figure. He has a beautiful face, but if one looked closer, one could observe his snake-like eyes, which looked like a scheming evil demon.

"If I didn't know that adventurer, I wouldn't ask him to be the bait. But I knew that guy. He is a recently leveled-up adventurer, but he is good at hiding his strength. I heard him at the bar my brother visits, so I recommended him as a target. I knew Wayne would be seen by him, and since he was a level two, his haul must be good as well. And I was right. With that, we hit two birds with one stone. We can finally rent a house and live with just two of us, you know."

Said the boy while drinking. But, by the looks of it, they are now even aware of the temperature of the room, getting lower and lower because of certain someone.

The black-haired boy, listening to them at the entrance of the room, has his hands clenched so hard that they are bleeding from his hands.

And, seeing his expression with bloodshot eyes, it seems like he will explode at any time.

And with that, he couldn't hold himself and decided to reveal himself.

He entered the room and dashed to the couch, the red-haired boy sitting with the girl on his lap.

The moment he entered, the girl noticed him and gasped.

"Huh, Wayne, what are, UGHHHH!"

She was trying to say something, but the boy punched her on her stomach and made her fall to the ground from the lap of the red-haired one.

Seeing his girlfriend get blasted like that, the red-haired boy got very angry and shouted.

"HUH, WHAT ARE YOU DOING, YOU BAS-, URGHHH!"

But he, too, wasn't able to finish what he was saying since the black-haired boy punched his face immediately after punching the girl.

The moment his punch connected with the face of the redhead, that guy rolled back from the couch he was sitting on and hit the floor with his back.

After that, the black-haired boy immediately jumped on the red-haired one and started beating him left and right while shouting.

"JAMES! You motherfucker, why did you betray me? Weren't we best buddies? Have I ever treated you badly, huh? Answer me, you fucker, didn't we share the haul between us every time we earned? What did I do to make you hate me, huh? Why, just WHY, YOU FUCKER?"

He shouted while beating the red-haired boy, punching him in the face again and again and again.

The red-haired boy tried his best to defend it and tried to attack back, but he couldn't get the black-haired boy over himself, so he couldn't leave the place below him.

But luckily for him, he was not alone.

His girlfriend immediately came to her aid and hit the back of the black-haired boy.

After the black-haired boy got hit, he immediately lost his balance and started staggering, and taking advantage of that redhead immediately got up and put up a distance between himself and the black-haired boy.

With that, round two of the fight started…
