Log-In

A young man, Jonathon gets dumped by his girlfriend, Sasha. Cliché, right? What's not cliché? The mysteries, moderate amount of face slapping, the dark tone that'll be in the later parts of the story, the possibility of the supernatural existing, and a secret about Joanthon's parents. (Batman?) But, if you want to see all of that, you not only need to send the author some love, some stones to be exact, but you also need to follow the novel until its end (or until it becomes dropped). Follow Jonathon as he goes from an impoverished state to a rich state befitting that of the richest man in the world, though, that won't be the only thing that Jonathon will become in this story... Reactions, New “Log in,” and Buying some “Essentials.”

After conveying my gratification with my new-gained car, I entered it once more, closed the door, put my seatbelt on, and blurred outside of the dealership with my half-a*sed driving skills…

"Holy sh*t!" I exclaimed as I held onto the steering wheel of my new car, my blond, nice-smelling, dazzling…great, superb hair fluttering due to the strong wind.

I felt free, I felt like I had broken my shackles; the limitations placed on my very being, which I did not.

My surroundings blurred as my car moved faster and faster, 'Maybe this wasn't a good idea,' I thought.

Seconds later, my car barely missed a car of the same brand… Coincidence? I think not.

'All jokes aside though, it's time to stop. It's…unsettling how calm I am given how close I was to death just a few moments ago, maybe I have a mental disorder?'

Slowing the car down considerably, the thrill I had allayed, though, I felt more comfortable knowing that I was perfectly safe.

{A/N: Red Flag?}

But then, I did the stupidest thing I could; I accelerated my car — and not only did I accelerate my car, I accelerated my car to its utmost capacity…its utmost capacity that didn't pose a danger to me, which it still did, nonetheless.

My new "Aston Brandon C-1" (Who came up with that name?) blurred once more as a loud sound propagated from it, and I screamed once more.

"-es!"

My voice was muffled, and so was my sight, though it wasn't exactly "muffled" per se, but instead obstructed, not that it mattered.

I should've not ignored my warning…

Before I knew it, my really-expensive car (which cost around $50,000, and had many luxurious gimmicks) encountered a speed bump. Thankfully, I had already slowed the vehicle down, knowing the consequences of moving at an extreme velocity.

{A/N: Got you there, didn't I?}

{A/N: By the way, the currency in Jonathon's country (the USD) isn't proportional to our own USD.}

After that "wake-up call," I, fortunately, stopped acting idiotic and didn't cause any more incidents.

Arriving at the flat, I exited my car and closed both the windows and the doors, locking the car with my keys in the process.

I immediately headed to my room, walking slowly while humming a tune I heard somewhere.

Feeling exhausted from all the fun, exciting occurrences antecedent to me coming to my room, I suddenly stretched my hands — after unlocking my door — and turned the doorknob.

Entering my "cozy" room, I closed the door behind me (locking it in the process), and went to my bed, feeling ecstatic and hopeful; hopeful for a better life.

I fell asleep…for a long time.

Without brushing my teeth, or eating.

"Argh!" I bellowed, feeling hungry, thirsty, and…happy all at the same time.

I got up slowly, went to the bathroom and depleted the small amount of urine in my bladder, brushed my teeth while looking at my reflection in the mirror, a blond-haired, sharp, 'expressionless,' blue-eyed man, not looking too muscular, but looking like he developed his musculature gazed back at me. Then, I broke out of my stupor, exited the bathroom, and headed to the kitchen of my room.

Opening the fridge, I was met with some irrelevant ingredients, butter, and eggs.

And so, I gathered up some other ingredients excluding the eggs and butter, and started working on making an omelet.

{A/N: I will not be writing cooking scenes, sorry guys!}

Sat at a table, I looked at the appetizing omelet that I had made, and dug in!

I ended up having parts of the omelet smeared all over my face. Naturally, having no shame, I grabbed the said pieces by using my telekinetic abilities.

I used my tongue and hands.

I have clean hands…

Yeah…

Awkward…

After finishing all the leftovers of the omelet, I took out my phone, thinking of browsing the internet for a little while, which I did, before I was presented with another "peculiar notification."

{"Believe the oh-so-gracious, mysterious awarders now?

No? Well, that's unfortunate… Oh, so you admit your reality! My bad, many idiots refuse to believe in our free-of-charge gifts, or awards, whatever you want to call them, anyhow, time to explain some stuff:

First of all, we employ a give-something-precious-to-get-something-precious system (that was long) so buckle up and start working hard.

To get awards you need to leave good impressions on others (good impressions for you) or fulfill uncertain requirements, the awards that you gain may range from getting a banana to getting a billion-dollar mansion, nice, right? To gain these awards, aside from the aforementioned you can additionally get lucky, or complete special, assigned tasks, though, you should remain cautious, it may seem like you're not losing anything and getting 'awarded' when in fact you're losing something dear to you—nothing in this world comes for free, after all…

That's it though, newcomer! Level up to know more.

—IOM [Institute of Merit].

P.S. You will receive a notification soon, consider it a gift, if you're lucky you may even get something better than your car, Jonathon."}

Faced with the sudden information, I took a while to process things to a good-enough degree.

I was elated…whilst being spooked.

Two different emotions conjured up inside of me.

The last bit of the notification seemed eerily aimed at me, but I deluded myself into thinking that it wasn't, that I got lucky.

I didn't want to accept that there would be a price for my "awards."

I didn't accept that there would be a price for my "awards."

I finally had a chance, a chance to live a fulfilling life.

I didn't want it to extinguish—no, I couldn't let it extinguish…

I ignored the cost of my awards. I ignored the note I got.

I would never accept it.

I would never accept losing my only chance; my only hope.

And then, another notification brought me out of my second stupor.

I saw a pop-up; a gift icon that kept rotating, begging me to tap it, so, I did, I tapped the gift pop-up and was presented with another notification.

{"Gift claimed! Congratulations, User #999, you've gained: '$10,000.' Your gift has been transferred to your bank account."}

Insert Surprised Pikachu Face.

"Eh?"

"Eh?!"

"Nande? (Why?)" the disbelief I was in prompted me to speak a language I didn't even know I could speak.

I rubbed my eyes and looked at my phone screen once more, seeing the enormous, unchanging figure.

Wha – Ding! – t?

I got another notification…

{"Your account———has been wired $10,000."}

I, in my dumbfounded state, chose to suddenly get up, my face so shocked that it didn't show anything.

'Shopping. Time to go shopping.'

And so, I did, I changed my stained clothes to ones a bit better, though not by much, exited my room making sure to lock the door behind me, and headed to my car.

Opening the doors after unlocking the car, I entered, turned it on, and slowly exited out of my little parking spot.

Then, I once more blurred as my car suddenly accelerated.

My car could be seen slowly drifting until it reached a parking stall and suddenly stopped.

I exited my car, not forgetting to lock it in the process, and entered the huge, breathtaking mall.

Looking around, I was awed, my surroundings were filled with luxurious shops and sweet aromas which entered my nose, making me relax.

I browsed many stores, sightseeing, being met with disgusted gazes as usual, until I finally stopped at one store; "Clothes of the Elite."

{A/N: I thought of "You-Zitsu" at the time, and was also reading several FFs of it too! Check it out if you haven't read it, it's great.

P.S. If you want FF suggestions comment on this sentence and I'll send you some of my favorites.}

'Seems familiar,' I thought.

Entering the store, I was met with a cold atmosphere, an even better aroma than before, and the same disgusted gazes.

I even saw an employee seeming conflicted while looking at me…

'No matter, they'll all be face slapped anyways.'

I browsed some clothes and chose some that caught my attention. To be exact, I chose several pairs of shoes; some casual, some formal.

Then, I browsed some other sections of the store and chose several other clothes, such as new jeans, and chinos. All of them cost a ton of money though, ouch…

Finally, I browsed the last section that I'd be going to and chose some nice, fresh-looking (and smelling) shirts, and lots of polo shirts…lots I tell you!

Then, an employee came up to me, a female one to be exact—why do female employees get irked by me so much? 'Am I suspicious or something?'

I faced the young lady and asked her: "Can I help you, miss?"

"Yes, you can help me by returning all of the stuff that you won't be buying," she replied.

"Aren't you being a bit rude judging me by how I look? I can assure you that I can buy everything that I've chosen," my tone had annoyance laced in it.

She didn't react well to my statement, looking at me like I was a piece of sh*t.

"If you can't pay for your stuff, I'm calling security."

She said, walking towards a counter, only to stop when reaching it.

I walked behind her, stopping too after reaching the counter. Then, I took out my debit card and handed it to her.

She, still thinking I wouldn't be able to pay, suddenly smirked.

"You don't have to embarrass yourself, just return your things to where they belong."

"I am returning them to where they belong, they belong to me," I reflexively replied.

She lost her smirk, snickered, and inserted my card into a machine.

I, knowing what to do, inserted my pin into the said machine.

The transaction didn't fail.

I spent $3,457 on clothes…

The lady's eyes widened.

Looking back at her, and analyzing her expression, I realized her beauty. She had tranquil, hazel-colored eyes with matching, light-brown-colored hair, smooth, white skin, and a firm figure with enough curves.

She, realizing that I had been staring at her for far too long, broke out of her stupor and looked me in my eyes, spitting out: "What the hell are you looking at?"

Rude.

Ironic too.

"Nothing, I just want my clothes," I stated in a deadpan manner.

"Whatever…" she handed me the clothes I had bought; my clothes.

I, suppressing a joyful, dumb-looking expression, exited the clothes shop in stride, heading to another shop in the magnificent mall with my bagged clothes in hand.

{A/N: Thanks for the stones!}
