I carried Loaf's old bed to my bedroom and put it down next to my bed. I called Butter up to my room and told him to lay down. I got ready for bed and fell fast asleep.
I forgot to close my blinds yesterday, so I woke up when the sun came out. I got up from bed and checked on Butter. He was sleeping on the bed peacefully, so I tried not to wake him up.
I already knew what to do to give Butter to her and get Loaf back. I sent Livia a text that said, meet me at the back of our school at two pm and bring Loaf.I wasn't sure if she was going to come, but I still went to where we were supposed to meet. I put butter in a giant bag and carried him to the school.
I didn't see Livia, so I sat down on the ground and played with butter. I checked my phone and didn't see a reply from Livia. It was already two fifteen. Just when I was about to leave I saw a streak of goldish yellow.
"Sorry! I'm late!" Livia said.
For a second it didn't sound like Livia, then she went back to the normal Livia. "What did you call me here for?" She said, not so nicely.
"I want to ask for a favour," I said.
I ignored the suspicious look Livia gave me. "What,"
"Can you give Loaf back to me?" I asked.
She looked sad for a second then started to speak,"Why would I gi-,"
"Because I have something to trade with you, something that is worth it," I said before she finished her sentence.
"I would never give him back to you," She said.
"You will after you see him,"
"Him?" Livia asked.
I took Butter out of his bag and showed him to Livia, he was excited to meet Loaf and squirmed around when I was holding him. Livia seemed shocked, her eyes widened and her mouth opened.
"This is Butter, he is a Samoyed," I said.
Livia stared at Butter for a long time. I put Butter in her arms and she didn't reject it. I took Loaf's leash and hugged him.
Finally I said, "So that means a yes?" I asked.
She hesitated then looked at Butter. "Yes,"
I was happy with the answer and got ready to leave. Before I left Livia blurted out, "I'm sorry for what I did,"
I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came out.
"I will apologize to everyone and tell the truth," she said.
"Thank you," I said and left.
I got home and my parents looked at me and Loaf. I quickly ran upstairs, because I didn't want to explain.
The next day Livia came over to my house and apologized to my parents. Her parents were mad but Livia seemed relieved that she didn't have to lie anymore. She followed me to my room carrying Butter and said, "Thank you for Butter,"
"You don't have to thank me, I know what you are going through with your parents. I am sorry for being mean to you before too."
We were quiet for a long time, she got up to leave and I said, "Let's take our dogs to the park tomorrow,"
"Sure," She said with a smile.
THE END.
