Loaded with Luck

My first original, Where I basically tried to make a system where you can actually buy Luck attribute. Got the idea from the strongest gene. Though I will focus on combat suits a little bit, most of the time I will focus on both mechanic and gene-related parts. As for the gaming elements, the whole world is set in a partial game setting. no such thing as Health Points or stuff, but there will be attributes And levels. I happen to read novels like The Legendary Mechanic, Super Gene, and The Strongest Gene, and I got this idea, to make a new novel. Only this time on a very massive scale. I'm learning to write a novel with the same writing way as that of the strongest gene. Hope you all like it. And please comment. My writing capabilities are really shitty.

Being Lucky is just too Powerful...

Eden's virtual shop was the only shop in the entire virtual market of Dome Star Cluster that had always managed to sell out its entire stuff within one or two days of adding any product.

Though he had only added products in his shop three or four times, it was still a great record. This month before the competition, he planned to sell loads and loads of reagents on the market with such a great variation that it was going to allow him to be considered as a master producer. He, of course, had some plan for mechanical suits as well.

This also was a method for him to practice his recent skills in real products. He had made some sketches of the mechanic suits and weapons in his mind, and the conclusion he came upon based on those sketches was, even though the firepower of the weapons was greater compared with other current-gen weapons, it still was not good on heat management issues.

Entering the designer suite, Eden began fabricating the design based upon the idea he had formed on his mind.

First was the simple hollow frame based upon the shape he had formed in his mind. This was exactly where he had a problem. According to all the knowledge and skills he had learned till now the space he needed to fabricate a weapon which was based on huge kinetic force, meaning he needed a frame which was a lot bigger and was supposed to be made up of materials that were dense and could handle the force produced by each shot.

But the frame Eden wanted to work with was very narrow. He had also beforehand prepared an alloy just for this weapon.

"Whatever. I will figure out what to do next after I finish my initial design." Eden concluded and began working on it as it is. Adding modules one after another he started filling up the entire frame. Aim assist, muzzle, suppressor, front sight, rear sight, trigger, safety, so on and so forth. After working for around five hours he finally took a break from the design.

Just like he expected, even the real-time simulator showed him the same heating problem that he expected beforehand. His 'Weapon optimization and efficiency' and 'Internal space optimization and proficiency' skill did help him quite a bit while working on the current model, but right now he was already on his limit.

A single skill set costed more than ten thousand of SP, so he had no plans to waste them anymore. Seeing no other ideas, he turned to the system.

"Hey System, is there any way for me to earn SP?"

[Host can complete the mission given by the System, to receive the SP.]

"And if it's not enough?"

[System can also reward host with SP based on task completion rates.]

"I know that already," Eden replied while exhaling a long breath.

[Host hasn't opened the golden box(x2).]

"Oh yeah!" Eden exclaimed.

He had totally forgotten about it. Though it wasn't really his fault that he forgot about it, after all when he had received the golden box as rewards, he wasn't even able to interact with the system.

Hence, there was no way for him to receive the rewards. The last time he opened the box he got an atomic materializer and something called spot marker, which he still had no idea about.

Eden grabbed one of the golden boxes from the inventory and fully switched his luck to 1000, and drank a bottle of water to cool himself down, before opening the box.

----

[Congratulation.]

- You have received 100,00,000 SP.

- You have received Golden Box(x2).

----

Phhuuu…

Eden spat back a mouthful of water he had just drank while coughing very violently.

This was not something he expected from the system. He felt like his head was not going to handle the logic behind this situation at all. Then again there was no logic to the current situation at all.

Except for one.

"I am Lucky, baby." Suddenly Eden shouted on top of his voice while jumping over the bed.

Thankfully the whole room was soundproof. If not, the entire hotel would have been shocked at his sudden outburst, also probably kicked him out of there while they were at it.

Suddenly, he turned around and looked at his incomplete model and started grinning.

"What problem?" he shouted, "With the power in my hand, there is nothing I cannot solve."

At once entering the system store, he went ahead and bought the Advance skill set of 'Weapon optimization and efficiency'. This time though, probably because of the previous event where his mental attributes were forcefully altered it didn't take him too long to memorize one Advance skillset.

After around three hours of skill memorization and two hours of rest, he again started the designing process. "There is no stopping now," Eden mumbled while moving around his hands grabbing different modules, some of them, he even tore open and placed different parts in different sections of the weapon. After working around for another additional three hours finally, he gave the entire weapon system an ok.

An overall real-time review of the weapon system provided by the designer suit about the rifle was "Perfectly Balance". However, an overall usage period as mentioned by the suite was very low. And that was exactly what he expected from the normal frame he used while designed it.

The only thing left for him to do was to replace the entire frame initial metal and replace it with the alloy he had prepared beforehand.

"For a fourth-rate star cluster, this weapon system was probably a game-changer. Add the alloy on top of that, if the government was able to get their hand on both his license, they will probably be categorized as a third-rate star system." Eden nodded his head while thinking about the probable future.

However, because of the continuous working, he was already getting tired. He wanted to design the bullets for the rifle as well, but it was going to have to wait for tomorrow, he concluded while finally hitting the bed.
