Visit to the clinic

Gene tried to make sense of what he had experienced these past few days. He kept on dreaming about this woman and everytime he wakes up he was certain that he felt intense emotion. Could this be love? How can this be possible, he can't even see her face. Gene thought he must be experiencing some hormonal imbalance of that sort which is unusual for men. Is it? Or worst he has underlying mental illness.

___________

Early morning, Gene was already up. Today he will see the psychiatrist Lloyd booked an appointment. Gene feels uneasy about this but he knows he have to go the bottom of what is happening. He went to his walk in closet and choose a gray two-button tailored suit. He didn't wear a tie, but  have prepared one for later. He will be attending a business meeting later in the afternoon. After looking himself one last time in the mirror, Gene got his car and drove to the clinic.

It took Gene one and half hour to be in the clinic. It is a private clinic with underground parking. He rode the elevator to the second floor. When the elevator door opened the view of the receptionist greeted him. Ella, the receptionist, is a five four feet tall lady in her late thirties. As expected, she has a beautiful face and smile. She greeted Gene and ask for his appointment. Ella wrote something on her memo pad and told Gene to take a seat on the sofa nearby the reception. After ten minutes Ella ushered Gene to the psychiatrist's office.

The office was about forty square meters with glass windows draped with blinds. It has a table in the left most part near the windows. There is a sofa in the right corner and a couch accross it. There is a mild scent in the room, clean and relaxing smell. The overall look of the room as expected except there is a touch of feminity on it. There are fresh flowers and the choice of wall paints are vibrant not the typical mundane grey and white. Gene sat on the sofa. A little while someone appeared on the door.
