Power of Cats

"Ah what do I do?" Sora sighed as he laid down on the couch of Shizuka's office.

"Stop chasing more girls" Shizuka told her nephew as she continued to work.

"I can't do that"

As Sora was thinking and asking the system Shizuka and Sora heard a knock on the windows.

"Eh? What's the cat doing there?" Shizuka went near the black cat who kept on banging the window.

Shizuka wanted to shoo it away when she opened it , but it was too fast and jumped on Sora instead.

"Oh Alice" Sora petted Kuroka who kept snuggling on his face

"You know this cat?" Shizuka asked as she closed the window.

"She's mine and Yukino's I guess, I was about to bring her home during the weekend but she disappeared, to think she followed me here" Sora kept petting Kuroka who enjoyed the moment.

"Fine, it can stay here as long as it wants and also as long as you're here, I don't want to take care of another child"

Shizuka then sat back as she continued working. Sora erected and invisible barrier so that He and Kuroka could talk without getting interrupted and heard by Shizuka.

"Does she not know?" Kuroka asked Sora about Shizuka.

"She knows about the supernatural, she just refuses to engage in it as she doesn't want her life to be in danger" Sora kept patting Kuroka who was now laying on chest.

"I understand Nya! By the way I'm here to inform you regarding our matter" Kuroka happily told Sora who remembered.

"Go on"

"First off!" Kuroka immediately jumped atop of Sora's head and nestled in it. "As the next clan leader of my kind, the tribe agreed after initially disagreeing"

"Why so?" Sora questioned Kuroka who was getting comfortable.

"Of course my kind want's to survive and wants the best genes so they disagreed initially since they thought you were a normal human, but after telling them you smelled like Saya-sama, well they changed their tunes Nya!"

"What else do I need to know? And do I need to go there?" Sora wondered when he could see the underworld again.

"For now that's all nya! Oh they also agreed to let me stay with you if Saya-sama agrees of course"

"I'll tell her, she probably wouldn't mind"

"Good, because of that, can my sister come with me? I don't want to leave her alone"

"I have no problems with that, but you do have to realize that even though the people

living with me know about the supernatural some of them don't want to get embroiled in it"

"I understand nya! We'll stay in this form when we go out and we'll transform to our humanoid form when we're alone or you allows us"

"Mm" Sora petted Kuroka and undid the barrier

"Oh by the way"

"Nya?" Kuroka was confused as Sora stood up and carried her.

"I need you to help me with something"

"Nya!" Kuroka acted like a cat as she noticed that Shizuka was observing her silently.

"Shizu-nee, I'm off, see you later" Shizuka nodded and continued observing Kuroka, wondering why felt threatened because of a cat.

As Sora carried Kuroka, she saw the cat was waving her goodbye, she rubbed her eyes in disbelief and sighed as she thought it was her eyes playing tricks on her, no way a cat could be that smart or so she thought.

"Do I need eyeglasses?"

Yukino was getting ready to leave as she took her shoes only to be greeted by Yui and Hachiman seemingly waiting for her.

Yukino felt giddy at the thought but was saddened when she remembered what happened earlier.

'That bastard hugging another girl' Yukino felt pissed as she walked over toward Yui and Hachiman.

"Wait!" Yukino stopped as she heard the familiar voice that disturbed her day, she wanted to be the better person and eventually stopped but didn't look at Sora as she only looked forward not wanting to see the bastard's face.

"I think we should leave" Yui told Hachiman as she saw Sora running, she noticed he was holding a cat, although she too was curious she didn't want to disturb the two.

"I'm out" Hachiman said not bothering as she left Yui all alone who tried catching up with him.

Yukino closed her eyes wondering what excuse Sora would give to her now. She kept waiting as she knew he was behind her.

She waited and waited until she felt something soft on her head. Yukino opened her eyes as she felt it was paws.

"Nya!" She remembered the voice and immediately turned around.

"Alice!" Yukino immediately grabbed Kuroka out of Sora's hands. Kuroka acted that she liked it and played with her as Yukino kept petting her.

"You can take her home for the day."

"Nya?"

"Eh?"

Both Cat and Human looked at Sora in disbelief.

"Nya!" Kuroka squirmed to jump onto Sora but Yukino held her tight, since Kuroka didn't want to use her strength because she may injure Yukino, she sighed in resignation.

"I!" Yukino was conflicted as it was a big responsibility to take care of another being.

"It's fine if you can't" Yukino felt down as she knew she couldn't. "We'll walk with you instead and you can give her back to me when you've arrived back home"

Yukino didn't respond and started walking away as she carried Kuroka, Sora chuckled and followed after her.

The two walked as Yukino kept hugging Kuroka who didn't mind.

"You're just using this excuse to know my address aren't you?" Yukino finally talked to Sora as her anger subsided with the arrival of Kuroka.

"That and Alice missed you" Sora finally walked side by side with Yukino who didn't notice as she was busy with Kuroka.

"I'll forgive you this once" Yukino said to Sora as she hid her mouth behind Kuroka's fur.

"I'm just wondering why you're so mad about me helping Yumiko"

Yukino just harrumphed as she also didn't know why she was mad as it was a reasonable save.

"I just do" Yukino slowed her speed as they were nearing her condominium and Sora didn't follow up either.

The two then arrived at the condominium and Sora followed Yukino, as they arrived at Yukino's home, Yukino felt reluctant to part with Kuroka.

Yukino gave Kuroka one last hug as she gave her back to Sora.

"Take care of Alice for me, and I won't see you out" Yukino immediately closed the door leaving Sora and Kuroka.

"Take care too" Sora told Yukino as he left.

"Was she part of your Harem nya?" Kuroka asked as she sat atop Sora's head.

"Not yet, but I do have one at home"

"Tell me their names so I won't forget" Sora nodded and listed of the names of everyone

"I see, that's a lot, do they all agree though?" Kuroka asked this as she was curious.

"Well the main five do since they've been together for years, as for the others they're either reluctant or need some more convincing" Sora just shrugged as he knew he would find a way to let them agree.

"I guess I got my work cut out for me to help you then nya!" The two continued walking to enjoy the sight as Yukino's apartment was just near from Sobu

"I feel something weird nya!" Kuroka said as she felt someone was staring her.

Sora didn't say anything as to not alert the one following them.

"It's coming from there Nya!" Kuroka immediately ran off towards the direction where she felt something weird to check if it was a threat as she wanted to protect Sora from harm.

Sora chuckled and immediately followed after Kuroka.

As soon as Sora caught up with Kuroka he saw that Kuroka was sitting in front of another squatting girl who just stared at Kuroka back.

Sora was about to go near the girl but when he went near the girl immediately ran away when she saw Sora coming.

Sora picked up Kuroka who was also confused.

"Did you know her? I mean someone of your power could have detected her" Kuroka jumped back atop of Sora's head.

"I had my hunches but it wasn't sure until I saw her"

"She was a weird girl, I thought she was like Yukino but it turned out she only stared not saying anything"

Sora didn't say anything as Kuroka continued to tell Sora her observations

"Say Nya! Do you want her?"

"If I could, but not now" Sora took Kuroka from his head and patted her.

"Then I'll take care of it Nya! Just you wait I already marked her earlier just in case"

"I'll leave it you then"

"You can count on me nya!" Kuroka purred as Sora kept petting her in her cat form.
