The light got even brighter and Cloey and I shielded our eyes as whatever it was neared us.
"Is it heaven's gates opening?" Cloey questioned while being stupidly hopeful. I sighed and didn't bother to respond because I'm very sure I said it isn't heaven's gates opening.
The light slightly dimmed for a second and I was able to see what it was. My eyes widened and I started to frantically wave my hands above my head.
I looked at Cloey and excitement was written all over my face, "We're saved!" I pointed to the light when I realized she wasn't as excited as I was, "It's a boat."
Cloey narrowed her eyes, "Or it's a killer whale with a light bulb."
I stopped waving my arms and looked at her, "What?"
Cloey brought her fingers to her chin, "It's the first time I'm seeing one so close to the surface."
And I'm sure it's the first time she's seeing one that's not in her imagination.
