How It Started....... March 1995....

Daniel.... where are you? I've been waiting for you for so long. Please come home quick ".

" Don't worry, I'll be there as fast as I possible can".

"Please hurry ".

"Don't worry, I'll be there soon..."

"Daniel? Daniel!" Suddenly the phone beeped and the call ended, Amanda new that something was wrong. She could feel it. So she called the police.

" Hello, 911 what is your emergency?"

"Hello? umm I'm Amanda Hilton. I just called my husband and the call ended. I'm not sure where he is now but he's been gone for 4 hours. Please would you help me look for him?"

"Sure, we would trace him, please don't worry ma'm".

The call ended but it still couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.

She waited for a while but still no response from the police. Amanda was starting to get worried, what if something really bad happened to Daniel.

Amanda grabbed her phone and was about to go to the police station when she got a call. It was from the police! She answered the call.

"Hello, umm any news about Daniel?"

" Actually, we traced your husband's phone and the location was 'Maryland road'. We found your husband's car but we want you to see for yourself".

"Okay, I'll be there now". Amanda said as she grabbed her phone, took her purse and carried little Savannah and Adam.

The way to Maryland was a little rough but Amanda new a little shortcut. Amanda increased her speed, nothing concerned her more than her husband's safety at this point.

By the time Amanda arrived at Maryland, it was already getting dark . She stopped the car and took a deep breath before opening the door and stepping out.

She locked the door behind her and looked around but couldn't find her husband's car. She brought out her phone and dialed the police's number.

"I'm at Maryland but I can't find my husband's car".

"Wait a minute. I think I can see you. Okay, just turn around and you'll see me".

"Okay", Amanda said as she slowly turned around.

Amanda dropped her phone as tears streamed down her face. Daniel's car was so damaged it almost didn't look the same. But one thing that shocked her the most was the fact that Daniel was in the car bleeding so much that his clothes were drenched in blood.

Amanda ran to his car. She opened the door and tried to wake him up but to no avail.

"Ma'm I'm sorry to say this, but I don't think your husband is alive. I checked his pulse rate and there was nothing ". Amanda turned to look at the police woman but didn't say a thing instead turned to look at her numb husband.

"When I arrived here, I didn't see anyone, only his damaged car. I'm still not sure how his car got into this state ". Amanda stood up and was standing face to face with the police.

"Nonsense! This is all just nonsense!" Amanda said as she held the woman's collar, tears still flooding her cheeks as she fell to the ground as the police tried to console her.

Days have passed since Daniel's death but Amanda was still in shock. She hadn't smiled nor expressed any emotions since that day. Now it was time for his funeral. Everyone who attended the funeral was either a close friend or relative. They all came there to give their last respects to the humble and kind man who always supported the truth. Everyone sobbed and expressed their sorrows but Amanda didn't do any thing of such instead she kept quiet as she watched them bury the remains of her husband.

Memories of their happy family flashed through Amanda's eyes as she held Savannah tight in her arms.

Those day's of keeping up with everyone's torture was over and now she has to put up a bold face and take care of her family all by herself.
