Chapter 61

"WHY DID I EVEN THINK IT WAS A GREAT FUCKING IDEA!" Tsunade painfully yelled as her hand was holding, and more like crushing, mine

"J-just a couple more push Tsunade-sama!" a medical-nin specialized in delivery replied as she was performing her job, slightly nervous because of who she was facing

"A COUPLE MORE MY ASS!" Tsunade shouted again while I was using my free hand to clean the sweat on her face with a rag as I said "Don't focus on your ass now Tsunade, you felt more painful things before, didn't you?"

Crushing my hand with even more strength, which made me thankful to be so tough since she was not holding back at all and anyone else would have his hand crushed into an unusable mess, she replied "Now is not- FUCK- the time to say crappy jokes!"

"I can't do anything but have my hand broken in pieces to somewhat support you... And you know me, cracking jokes like that shows how nervous I am." I said worryingly even though I knew that the labor process was going on completely safe and sound

We were not at the hospital for the delivery but instead in one of my sealed chambers that would prevent Black Zetsu from seeing us, and when the operation is over, I will erase some of the memories of the medical-nin if our child shows some particular characteristics, just to prevent him from learning information.

This place was not like a second-rate underground but equipped with everything a hospital should have.

I was also looking at any weird signs from the baby because I didn't know if 'it' would inherit something dangerous from me, though my wishes shouldn't be hereditary at all.

I was just scared that our baby passively absorbed natural energy as I did but couldn't seal it like me... The chances were extremely low but how could I not be worried?

"I can see the head, push a little more Tsunade-sama!" the medical-nin said and this time Tsunade did not complain since she knew that it would soon be over

And after a few seconds of seeing Tsunade's struggling expression, we both heard something we craved for quite some time.

"Waa! Waa!" the small baby started to wail as it took its first breath

[A/N: I rolled a 3]

"Congratulations Tsunade-sama, Yuichi-sama, it's a healthy girl!" the medical-nin that was carrying our child said as she brought it nearer to Tsunade so she could hold our baby

"L-look at our girl, how cute she is!" Tsunade said with tears of happiness as she was nuzzling the baby between her arms while signs of tiredness somehow faded away

Smiling, I brought my hand forwards and nudged the little infant's cheek who started to quickly giggle before I replied "She has the same baby fat as you had when you were a child right there!"

We both laughed when the baby was moving her little arms around as if it was getting annoyed by my endless teasing since I kept on poking her cheek.

After a while, one of the medical-nin moved towards us and asked "May I know the name of your child so it can be recorded?"

Both Tsunade and I looked at each other and with a smirk, I declared "Since it's a girl then it will be my chosen name." before looking at the medical-nin to add "Her name is Tsugumi, Tsugumi Senju."

After that, the medical-nin left the room so we could enjoy our first time together with our newborn daughter, and the dawn of my overwhelming doting daddy personality.

'Now I just need to check-up on Shisui and both will be able to grow up nicely' I thought as Tsunade was handily making our daughter fall asleep for the first time with a cute lullaby

====================

*A year and a half later*

"Bring me two bowls of ramen, one big bottle of sake, and two cups Teuchi, thanks." I said as I sat down at the front of the Ramen Ichiraku while the young man in front of me replied "On it, Yuichi-sama." with a cheerful tone as he started to cook his famous ramen recipe

Closing my eyes, I enjoyed the silence around me since it was currently the middle of the night, a time where Teuchi's restaurant would normally be closed but I was always able to create an exception.

'How nice it is to hear nothing but the sound of the wind, a few crickets in the horizon, and the fizzy sound of frying oil cooking food' I thought as my face was adorned with a peaceful smile

While Shisui was an infant, he was taken care of by Chizu thus did not disturb our sleep, however Tsugumi... She slept in our room and the first few months were truly hard to bear.

I could withstand not sleeping, but hearing someone cry out loud for hours was still getting on my nerves.

And no, I couldn't use a silencing seal because a baby crying meant that it needed something, it would be too dangerous if I were doing so.

Thankfully children were growing fast in this world but Tsugumi was quite the hyperactive kid since the day she learned how to talk and walk.

"I didn't expect this restaurant to be opened in the middle of the night, thought seeing you sitting there might be the reason why." a male voice asserted before someone sat on the stool just to my right

"It's been a while, Jiraiya." I said as I opened my eyes and looked at the spiky white-haired man I didn't see for four years already

"It sure has been." he replied with a smile of his own as we did a good old brofist while Teuchi came back to us with what I ordered

Taking the bottle of sake, I opened it before pouring the content into both of our cups.

"Cheers!" we said at the same time as some of our drink spilled on the counter before drinking the first cup of sake in one go

"Aaah, I love the burning sensation going down my throat every single time!" Jiraiya said as he was already filling both of our cups once more

Chuckling since it was the same for me, I asked "How were your vacations?"

"Vacations uh... Thanks for allowing me to stay at the Land of Rain and not make me a missing-nin for not going home at the end of the war, Hokage-sama." Jiraiya said as he knew that I became the Fourth Hokage and that Hiruzen died in the war

"Well... Both Orochimaru and Tsunade told me why you stayed there. Though I wonder why you didn't bring those children to Konoha, you know I wouldn't mind, heck, I've done so many times." I said as I started to eat my ramen

With a deep look on his face, he replied "I did ask them if they wanted to you know, but they only want to bring peace to the Land of Rain, their home, and two of them lost their parents because some of our shinobi killed civilians, which makes it impossible for them to even have the idea of living here." with a hint of resentment on the last part

"I did hear that information from Sakumo and we either captured perpetrators of civilian murder or made them missing-nin... I know that we were at war but killing innocent people is against the Will of Fire." I half-lied an answer to Jiraiya who seemed slightly delighted

'True to be told, they wish they were killed instead' I thought as all of them were indeed captured but didn't stay in jail and were instead test subjects for Orochimaru's various experiments

"I'm grateful for that." Jiraiya first replied before adding "As for these children, they have quite the potential and I'm sure that we will hear about them in the future." as he pridefully puffed his chest

"We shall see." I mumbled as I sipped a little bit of sake

"How about you, Yuichi? Except for the 'I became the Hokage', did I miss something else when I was away?" Jiraiya asked before filling his mouth with ramen

"Nothing much except for the fact that I became a father." I casually declared which made Jiraiya spit his food everywhere

"Nothing much?! Don't joke about that, congratulations!" Jiraiya heartily replied which surprised me so I asked "You're not going into total paranoia like every time I mentioned the possibility?"

I saw him sigh before looking at his reflection in the cup of sake as he explained "I annoyed you and acted like an asshole for years already about this... But I'm done with it."

"Was it a prophecy of some kind?" I asked since it was the only reason I had in mind for him to act like that

Deep in thought, he didn't reply directly but ended up saying nonetheless "You're right, I can tell you since it's essentially nullified now."

"I'm all ears." I said as I finished eating and was drinking the broth that was left from the ramen bowl

"The Great Toad Sage warned me about a world-ending disaster." he first said which made me surprised as I interrupted him "And me and Tsunade having a child has some relation to such an impactful thing?" while putting my bowl down

He snickered before replying "As weird as it sounds, it does." then sipped some sake before adding "But sadly, I was not made aware as to who would bring such a thing... Be it you, Tsunade, your child, or someone else, all I knew was that it may be happening once you become a father."

"Honestly, if something ever happened to Tsunade or my daughter, and by that, I'm not just talking about dying, I might go on an unstoppable rampage no matter how good am I at controlling my emotions." I declared with a chilling voice just by thinking about it

"Though there is a correlation with one of the prophecies I heard from the Great Toad Sage... And with it, the future he foresaw for you should be denied of existence indeed." I added as I made a sign to Teuchi so he could bring another bottle of sake since we already finished the first

"I'm glad if that's the case, and I just couldn't bear to prevent both of my friends' happiness any longer, even if it means facing a world-ending battle, we will be ready, isn't that right?" Jiraiya announced while chuckling, to which I joined him

"Talking about a battle, I have a few missions for you in the next few years." I said as I was back to my Hokage self

"I barely came back and already have to work uh? Though I can't deny that I don't deserve it." Jiraiya replied before I added "The first one isn't truly a mission but a request. See, Tsunade became Kushina's teacher in the hope of making her the next strongest medical-nin, and during the time you were away, Minato came to seek my help so I could enlighten him, however, and you know it, you should be the one teaching him."

"I did leave my student for a few years to teach some random children... I owe him a proper education." Jiraiya replied as he was slightly guilty about it

"That's why I will give both of you two years, be it staying at Konoha or somewhere else, I don't care, but I want both of you back in two years starting from today." I said as I gave him a scroll containing information about another mission

And the more he read the content the more his expression crumbled until he asked "Are you sure about that? It's barely been a couple of years!"

"And that's exactly why I'm warning you about it now." I first said before drinking another full cup and added "You know well enough that Iwa and Suna wouldn't just stand still after the war, and that they wouldn't attack us too early because we would still be too prepared."

"I know, but why would it happen in two years and not later?" Jiraiya asked me as he put away the scroll

"Think about it from Konoha's predicted behavior. Would we expect losing villages to start a war in a time where they have yet to recover their full strength? Of course not, we would be less prepared, wouldn't be on our guard if they tried to at this time... Everyone expects war to happen later and from their perspective, so do we." I explained as Jiraiya was pondering about my words

"They will start a conflict against us in such a short amount of time, and they will work together to compensate for their previous losses, all while taking advantage of the time where most of our shinobi barely became parents and rusted." I finally added before Jiraiya asked "I understand why Kumo and Kiri wouldn't take part in it, but why does the Tsuchikage and the Kazekage try something so dumb as to fight Konoha again?"

Chuckling, I replied "I don't want to brag about it but the Third Kazekage is not aware of my strength as we never crossed paths, so from his point of view, me being hailed as the strongest Hokage and him being hailed as the strongest Kazekage makes us even in a fight. Funny isn't it? He's thinking too highly of himself while any Hokage would beat the crap out of him."

Jiraiya did not deny my answer and let me continue "As for Iwa, I became the most hated man of their country after the Second Tsuchikage's death, and the Third is too stubborn to let Konoha in peace, in fact, I'm sure that his council prevented him from attacking us without thinking right after the treaty."

'And he also thinks that I only assisted Hiruzen to fight against Mū, not that I was capable of killing him' I thought but kept to myself

"I hate to say it every time, but I think you're right." Jiraiya declared with a fake disgusted expression

"Love you too." I replied with a smirk as we endlessly emptied bottles of sake one after the other

Until...

"See, she's cute right, RIGHT? Look at her chubby cheeks, oh and look, this photo is when she first started to walk, and this one was when she was weirded out by her first sprouting tooth, and here, it was during her first birthday, and-"

"I GOT IT THAT YOUR DAUGHTER IS THE BEST DAUGHTER IN THE WORLD, NOW CAN YOU STOP, IT'S BEEN TWO HOURS ALREADY!" Jiraiya shouted which surely woke up the whole area as he silenced me with his hands on my mouth

Looking at the sky then sensing my corporal heat, I realized that I stopped inhibiting the alcohol from the moment I started talking about Tsugumi and quickly recovered myself, before packing up my numerous photography of her.

"*cough* Anyway, I still have something to tell you about her, but it's serious this time, I promise." I said as I saw the poor exhausted Teuchi sleeping in his kitchen

"Go on." Jiraiya mumbled as he was still worried about me blabbering even more about my precious daughter

"In case something ever happened to me and Tsunade, I want you to always be there for Tsugumi... I want you to be her Godfather." I declared which made Jiraiya look at me with his mouth wide open

"W-w- but how, why, when?" he mumbled, completely confused about my request

"True to be told, you are the first one we had in mind with Tsunade, and both agreed on this decision since you are our dear friend." I said with an honest smile which was capable of making him embarrassed for an instant

"That's some heavy responsibility you just ask me to bear you know." he said as he scratched the back of his head

"She's an angel don't worry about it." I first confessed before adding "So, what do you think?"

He sighed but I saw him smile right before he replied "I will gladly accept."

A malicious glint appeared in my eyes as I took an already opened scroll while smirking before saying "Here is the contract you just agreed to." as he started to read a bunch of obligations he would have the moment Tsunade and I disappeared

"Wait that's illega-" he tried to say as he saw his blood signature written on the scroll, sealing his future permanently

"I am the law." I said as the contract vanished the moment Jiraiya tried to grab it and so did I

"You sneaky bastard." was all I heard before teleporting back home

====================

[A/N: I know a lot of you wanted twins but sorry to say that luck was not on your side, though you do not need to worry since I intend for them to have another child later, and it will be a boy.

Also, I guess the love interest of Tsugumi is obvious agewise, and in case you have some doubt that I was aiming for a daughter, just know that I had a love interest if it was a boy, twins girl, but not twin boys which would have been a pain for me.]

Done.

I didn't expect to write most of the chapter with Jiraiya’s and Mc’s dialogue but it ended up being the case.

As always, if you find grammatical mistakes, please comment.

Thanks for reading and I hope that you enjoyed it!
