Proposing

Chen Jiahao woke up early and started his training. He swings his sword a hundredth time before he stops for breakfast. Eating with Shihuang while talking about things that happened in the village and outside has become a norm for them.

"Yesterday I felt a mysterious power from Wenmin's house. I used my qi to see what was going on and saw that Xiao Hu was the one who was emitting that enormous power." That was what Chen Jiahao said to Shihuang.

He didn't want to explain all of it to Shihuang, he wanted to bait him first. Shihuang knew that Xiao Hu is a mythical beast but only thought that it wouldn't be that powerful since it was just a child. Turns out he was wrong, that cub was powerful enough to even woke him up in the middle of the night.

"I felt it yesterday but what made him do that? Mythical beats wouldn't reveal themselves unless they are in trouble." Looks like the bait has been caught.

Jiahao explain how Chen Haoran and Wu Jiali wanted to bother Wenmin in the middle of the night. The couple wanted to catch him and Wenmin together, parade about their meetings to the villagers and sully their name. Their plan failed because of Xiao Hu.

Xiao Hu threatened them and sent them away without hesitation. Even declaring that Li Wenmin was a child that he was protecting. Going against Li Wenmin means that they are going against him.

"Shihuang, what do you think about this? I don't think I have to wait so long to marry Wenmin." Jiahao wanted to marry Wenmin as fast as possible but also to give Wenmin time to prepare himself.

However, if people were to say bad things about Wenmin, he would rather marry first and go through life together. "Boss, I think you should discuss this with Wenmin ge'er himself." Was all that Shihuang could say to Jiahao.

Jiahao agreed, he knew that Wenmin wouldn't rely on him unless he trusts him. He decided to tell Wenmin that he wanted to marry him in a month if he agrees. He set out to Wenmin's house, bringing meat and a few coins of silver to meet the village head.

He arrived at Wenmin's house and knocked a few times. Footsteps came, light and quick, filled with youthfulness. Just hearing the footsteps made Jiahao smile. The door opened, and a small face appeared with a little bit of dirt on the cheek.

Jiahao was stunned, he has never seen anyone looks as good as Wenmin with dirt on their face. Wenmin looked at him with his big round eyes, there was sweat dripping down from his forehead. Jiahao felt like his hand was moving on its own, then when he realised his hand was already tucking Wenmin's loose hair behind his ear.

There in his eyes, he saw how reddish tints started to appear on Wenmin's face and ears. Adorable was all that Chen Jiahao could think of. How adorable Wenmin is when he was shy, when he laughs, when he speaks, and even with sweat and dirt. He's still adorable.

Wenmin was surprised. This was something that he has never experienced before. And he never thought that Jiahao would treat him like this.

He was embarrassed, but his heart wouldn't stop beating. 'What was Jiahao doing here? It's still morning.' Wenmin was tending his garden, it was his usual routine. He has to make sure that he has 500kgs of vegetables this month.

"Jiahao gege, what are you doing here?" Wenmin's voice fluctuated a little. He was nervous, it felt like Jiahao was playing with his heart. When Jiahao tucked his hair, he felt like his heart was scratched with a cat's paws.

"Wenmin ge'er, I wanted to tell you that last night Chen Haoran and Wu Jiali came to make trouble at your house. Luckily Xiao Hu was there to stop them. They wouldn't bother you for now." Jiahao said he didn't want to come in as he wanted to go to Uncle Yichen's house as soon as possible.

"They wanted to spread rumours about you and me being together in a close space. I don't want your reputation to be tarnished by them but I also know that you wanted to solve problems yourself." Jiahao was still speaking while holding Wenmin's hands.

"I would like to propose to you, that we should get married in a month. I wanted to be with you when you were happy and sad. Protect you and help you flourish." Wenmin can the sincerity in Jiahao's eyes.

He also heard about the couple from Xiao Hu. He didn't mind as their plan didn't succeed but knowing that it wouldn't stop just once, he has to prepare himself. He knows that Jiahao wanted to marry him because of his feelings without any other meaning.

Holding Jiahao's hands firmly in his, he looked directly into Jiahao's eyes and said, "Chen Jiahao, if you think I am enough for you and you don't need anything else, then I will be your whole world. I will also be there for you no matter the circumstances and protect you. If you said that the appropriate date for us to marry is in a month then I will follow you."

Wenmin smiled. He said what he has to and convey what he had thought, it was no use trying to deny the feelings that had rose in his heart. He already acknowledges those feelings and treated Jiahao according to his heart. Now is the time for him to show his feelings too.

Jiahao was so happy that he almost hugged Wenmin, he gave the meat him and gave his cheeks a little rub. He quickly left for the head village's house. His steps feel light and the world looks bright in his eyes. Spring is finally here.
