Living Carefree in the Cultivation World

Liao Ping is a transmigrator who has read web novels throughout his life while being an author, teacher, and doctor. He taught interns about what to do as a doctor when they start interning at his workplace while being an author who writes web novels at night. He is a lazy person when it comes to cultivation but loves to do the other hobbies that he couldn't do in his busy previous life. (I'll eventually come back to do this or I dropped it.)

Chapter 13-I've got a lot to do

Liao Ping and the little girl went around the town and he would ask her if they were her parents after pointing at them. She mostly shook her head and when she was almost separated from him by the frenzied crowd, he grabbed her hand and hoisted her into his arms, and held her gently as they kept looking for her parents. They eventually found the parents and he let her down, "Daddy! Mommy!"

"Jingyi, where have you been? You almost gave us a heart attack" the Father of Jingyi cried.

"My dearest daughter, Jingyi, where have you been?" the mother of Jingyi cried.

Jingyi was picked up by her mother and held in her embrace for a bit before her father came and hugged her mother and herself. "I-I was with him," she pointed to Liao Ping as he stood outside their home watching the happy scenery. He gave a smile and waved at Jingyi for a bit then introduced himself, "Hello, I am Liao Ping, and I was the one who helped your daughter, Jingyi, reach you safely" "Well, I'll give you my thanks in advance and hope that I can know your profession" "I am a beginner alchemist" "An Alchemist! then I hope that you can teach my daughter Jingyi about the world and Alchemy!" "I'll try my best but I am currently working with Ms. Chang in her restaurant as an apprentice, I'll come here before I leave and tutor you about things that you might be interested in" "You work at Ms. Chang's restaurant?" "I wanna learn how to cook proper meals, and even though I am an alchemist, I still wanna cook delicious meals while traveling someday" "Traveling someday eh, well I hope you can do it" "I'll be tutoring you're daughter Jingyi while you can discuss what she'll eat for tonight" "Alright then" Mr. Song and Mrs. Song go into the kitchen sat down to discuss what they'll have for dinner.

"Mr.Ping? No, teacher" "You can address me as a big brother if you want" "Big Brother! What'll I be learning for the rest of the day?" "We'll be learning about the auburn squirrel species" "The auburn squirrel species?" He nudged the bump in his clothes and it moved toward the opening and out popped an auburn squirrel. "Wow! a squirrel! Wait, is that what an auburn squirrel looks like?" "Yep and she's called Autumn" He gave Autumn to Jingyi to hold and they easily started becoming friends with each other. He watched on as Jingyi and the auburn squirrel played together in the room and heard the giggles of Jingyi which led him into a reverie about how he as a doctor in his past life used to have a little girl as one of his patients who would always be nervous at the start of the appointment and happy at the end of it.

['Mister! Mister! I'm here to get my checkup for the-the swimming activity my parents signed me up for!' 'I'm happy that you're going to try out swimming, it's a fun activity for kids your age'

'Mister! Mister! I've been having a lot of fun swimming!' 'Wow! You've gotten taller as well'

'Mister! Mister! I wanna give you a gift!' 'Oh? What is it?' He opened the present to find a snowglobe of himself and her alongside her family at the hospital. 'This is a great gift!' 'Hehe, I made it all by myself in class today!' 'You did a great job']

"Big Brother! Big Brother!" said Jingyi. "Hm? Ah, sorry Jingyi, I was just thinking of some memories that were reminding me of someone as sweet as you" "Oh? who, who?" "She was a sweet little girl just around your age and she would visit me with her parents when she had medical problems" "Oh, can I meet her one day?" "I don't think that you can Jingyi, she did give me a gift though," "What was it?" "It was an item that had snow forever raining inside a spherical globe with me, her, and her parents" "Ooh that gift was probably very pretty, can I see it?" "I don't have it on me but I can recreate it again one day and make her and you one if you want" "Then that's a promise! Let's make a pinky promise on it!" "Alright, pinky promise" "pinky promise," then you took out a book from his storage treasure and started reading about the auburn squirrel species to Jingyi.

The young handsome man had just killed all his assailants and had just removed his domain when he saw some people in the distance coming in his direction, so he used an escape technique from the Immortal Realm which doesn't consume anything besides the downside of having to remain still for a bit before disappearing from the scene. He ran into the scene of the young girl who had been given his spiritual stones, surrounded and breathing heavily with some of her assailants about to kill her, "Sword Technique: Thousand Leaves Descending" he said as he decimated her assailants and blocked her desperate attack with ease before checking the assailants for anything of use and taking the girl away, once again using the same escape technique.

He carried the young girl into the cave which was only a few miles away from Fallen star town. He made a campfire and took out some pieces of meat that were still fresh and lightly seasoned them before leaving them above the campfire. He then tended to the young girl's wounds and then started cultivating in an attempt to evolve his cultivation base from Level 10 of the Divine realm to Level 1 of the Glowing Lantern Realm. He eventually succeeded in his attempt since he had taken a spiritual earth herb before arriving at Fallen star town. He consolidated his cultivation base before going to lightly season the meat and flipping them over to season the other side before putting them back. He turned his attention when he saw a pair of eyes staring at him, no, at the meat above the campfire. "You're finally awake, you should check yourself out first" then he went back and continued cultivating his physique which was at the peak of Frame to Bone-Refining with a vial of dragon blood from a cultivator he had slain on the way to Fallen star town.

She wanted to strike up a conversation with her savior but he outright gave her the cold shoulder and enveloped himself in an aura of indifference and coldness as he cultivated. She took his advice and checked herself finding that her wounds were healing at a slow and steady pace. She once again tried to strike up a conversation but received a glare and warning, "Don't test my patience, young girl." She then continued checking herself with the spiritual vision which lets you see most things like the body's bones, muscles, viscera, etc, and see someone's aptitude for cultivation. "Mr. Savior?" "...." "Well, my name is Xing Hua, what's yours?" "...." "I'll continue testing your patience if you're not gonna answer!" "...." she then started rambling on and on for hours until she heard him say "My name is Quan Zhi" then he tossed the burnt pieces of meat into a hole he dug with his spiritual qi manipulation and repeated the process of cooking his meal. She watched on as he cooked and was in a daze for a while only getting herself out when he was already back to solidating his physique.

There was already a starry sky when Liao Ping returned to his hut. He immediately cultivated seriously for the night and transformed his cultivation base into a golden core. When he headed to Ms. Chang's restaurant to start working, Mr. Lui told him that she closed it down for the day and it'll be operating next week when the town calms down. Liao Ping then headed back to the sect only to be told by his juniors, "Senior Brother! We've got a message for you!" "Oh? Tell me" "We've been told by Elder Tyrant to tell you to meet him for something when you're free" "Mm" he then headed to the missions pavilion where he redeemed his mission and got his mortal pills, "Elder Tyrant is there anything that you need to talk to me for?" "Well, I need some advice on what to get for my dao companion" "Oh? Couldn't you have just asked another elder for some advice?" "I can't do that since it'll make my cultivator name 'Daoist Tyrant' seem like I can't even be a tyrant in relationships" "True, true, then give me some information and I'll think of a solution for you, but you should have a backup plan if it doesn't work" "I know, I know, you didn't have to tell me that" then Liao Ping walked away and toward Crimson Dragon Peak.

He reached the entrance of Crimson Dragon Peak and walked toward Xu Huo's hut after climbing the stairs. "Xu Huo, are you in there?" "...." eventually he saw that Xu Huo's master was watching the hut from afar with a gaze of fiery anger and fury. "Hello there, Auntie-Master Ruogang" she briefly turned her attention to Liao Ping and let her gaze turn to indifference when she saw him.

"Has that dense man forgotten me?" asked Auntie-Master Ruogang.

"No, he has not forgotten you and has asked me to come to ask you about what you like so that he'll be able to get it for your anniversary" "Well, I do want a painting of myself and him alongside some other things but I'll keep them to myself for now" "Noted, is there anything else that you might be interested in, Auntie-Master?" "I would like to try some of your cooking since that stupid disciple of mine kept rambling on about how good it was to eat your cooking, so I decided that I would like to try" "I'll cook you some dishes to try before I leave" "That stupid disciple of mine brought on a headache for the sect and me to figure out" "I can give some thoughts on the matter if you want" "Oh hell, why not, give me some of your thoughts on the matter" then they had a back and forth chat with him asking questions whist she answered but they would flip roles from time to time.

"Here," Liao Ping handed a compilation of papers with notes ranging from problems to answers and unnecessary things like Xu Huo's denseness. She took the compilation of papers and took out a bottle of pills from her storage treasure. "Here's your reward for working so hard and keeping this old lady company" "Thank you, Auntie-Master, and your still looking as brave and heroic as Elder Tyrant has told me" "That dense fellow" "Auntie-Master, could you tell Xu Huo that I was here to deliver the bottle of earth grade pills for the mission we went on," said Liao Ping as he walked away.

Creation is hard, cheer me up! His name has been revealed! So what do you think of Quan Zhi? Are any of yall curious about why Auntie-Master Ruogang was staring at Xu Huo's hut? Put your speculations in the comments
