15 CHAPTER 15 - ACTING MORE LIKE GOD

[2111 words]

~5 minutes later,~

Slowly, Keagen's blue eyes opened and shone their light into the silent dragon's den.

"Urgh..." He shook his head, "What... What happened?"

"You passed out," Jonah replied from his side while playing with Noire.

"Jonah... wait." He seemed to be remembering everything that happened before he fainted. "G-GOD?!" His body instantly shot up, and he stared at Jonah.

"Sup," Jonah bluntly replied.

"Y-You're THE God! OH MY GOD!" Keagen started to freak out.

Jonah got up from the ground and stopped Keagen from freaking out with a casual snap of his fingers.

"Listen, since I've already told you my identity, I'll just heal your father from here. You can do whatever you want with this dragon heart and the dragon corpse. Sell it, make it a souvenir, whatever, I don't really care." He said.

Removing the dragon's huge body from his dimensional storage, he snapped his fingers once again.

"There. Your father will wake up perfectly fine the moment you enter his room. You're welcome." He added.

Slumping to his knees weakly, Keagen's watered eyes stared at Jonah with thousands of mixed emotions. But one of them was the biggest of all - gratitude.

"Thank you... Thank you so much!" He almost kowtowed in front of Jonah.

Jonah's lips curled up hearing Keagen's words, and he smiled at him. "It's fine. Go home to your father."

"I will. Thank you so much, God. I'll never forget this. I'll make a weapon out of this dragon's carcass, and it will become my family's heirloom! I'll make sure that everyone knows of your greatness!" Keagen got up from the ground and bowed in front of Jonah.

"Alright, you can stop now." Jonah motioned for him to stop bowing and kowtowing, "Go home, man. You've already thanked me enough..."

"Yes! Thank you so much!" Keagen said with his hands together before he disappeared from the dragon's den along with a sonic boom.

"That was nice... Maybe I should act more like God would. Helping those who deserve helping and punishing those who deserve punishing." Jonah said to himself.

"What do you think about it, Noire? Should we help some people?" He asked the cute beast.

"Yes," Noire said in his deep voice. His profound voice really opposed his cute look...

"Hahaha... alright, let's go!" Jonah grabbed Noire and left the cave in instants.

Right outside the mountain's entrance, Jonah flew to the sky, and Noire simply enjoyed the wind in his face from his shoulder.

"Hmm... I'll make it so I can hear every sentence that has 'God' in it. Maybe that'll narrow down the people that want my help from those who don't." He said before he created a telepathic link between the word 'God' and his mind.

Instantly, countless voices from men, women, and children started to flood his head. The only reason he didn't have a huge headache was because he already removed the ability to have headaches.

"Yes... yeeeessss... YEEESSS! HARDERRRRR! AAAAAH FUCK! OH MY GOD! YEAH, FUCK ME RIGHT TH-" A woman's voice came to his mind.

"Well, maybe I should narrow it even more..." The disturbed Jonah made it so that he could only hear clear wishes.

"Please, Gods or God in heaven! Hear my prayer! My father was wrongfully accused of a crime, but it was his brother who did it in reality! He'll have to spend the rest of his life in prison, but he's innocent! Please enact vengeance!" Jonah heard the voice from a child.

"Done." Jonah fulfilled the kid's wish.

"Gods! I beg you! Heal my sick brother!" A girl's voice entered his mind.

"Healed." He fulfilled the wish once again.

He spent 20 whole minutes doing this. In the end, he had granted 1351 wishes, about half of those being the healing of a loved one, while the other half was aimed towards vengeance.

This day would be marked in history and, in the future, would be called 'The Day of Miracles', becoming a worldwide holiday. Since Jonah didn't just help humans, but all intelligent races, there were many reports of people miraculously waking up from fatal diseases, others mysteriously being released from prison due to a sudden appearance of new evidence, and many more. Due to this, that day was marked in history.

"That felt good! Now... what should I do?" Jonah said as he clapped his hands. "I guess I'll travel the world for a bit and leave. There's not much to do here anyway. I'm just interested in seeing some people of the giant race and the merfolk."

Floating high above the clouds, Jonah observed the stunning landscape and unconsciously smiled.

"To think that this is just one world among countless others... it's... it's just insane. Vita and I really outdid ourselves with the planets and the lives living on them." He said, "Anyhow, shall we travel this world for a bit, Noire?" He asked the divine creature on his shoulder.

With sleepy eyes, Noire spoke in a tired voice, "Sure. If you do not mind, may I sleep on your shoulder?"

"Of course. There's no need to ask." Jonah chuckled at him.

Looking at the fast asleep Noire, Jonah decided to go travel for a bit.

In the end, he spent a whole year traveling around the globe.

In the Wulux Continent, Jonah befriended several giants. And let me tell you, they lived up to their names. The smallest giant that Jonah saw was a 3 meters tall toddler, while the biggest one was a 24 meters tall elder. They looked exactly like humans did, just way taller and way stronger.

The giant race was, opposed to their fearsome appearance, a very friendly and peaceful bunch. Wars were never fought among them, and they only thrived in peace. They quickly accepted Jonah into their group, seeing that he had a kind heart.

He lived among them for 3 months, but he decided to leave after that to go see more of this world.

Leaving the giants with a few farewell gifts, mainly a gigantic basket that had an infinite amount of whatever food they wanted inside, he headed towards the continent of elves, Nokrith.

Quickly finding a village of elves, Jonah also managed to befriend them with his charisma and charm. Normally, the elven race was very wary of humans due to their past, where many battles were fought between them, but with Jonah, they were able to relax.

He traversed the entirety of the continent and found thousands of villages and hundreds of cities. Some were hidden deep in the tall forests, while others were out in the open.

One thing that really surprised him was that there was not a single damn elf that was ugly, especially the women... Yeah, Jonah managed to have some fun with a few of them.

He spent a whole 7 months there, which was by far the most he spent on any of the continents. Leaving once again, he didn't forget to leave gifts for those who accepted him. He left behind some indestructible bows, some Spell Books, and a few endless food and water supplies.

Done with that, he headed towards the continent of beasts, Auzeth.

He spent just a couple of months there, but the creatures he saw there left him with his mouth wide open.

Unicorns, gigantic dragons, huge fiery tigers, colossal tree monsters, and even a fucking 32 meters tall mosquito were just a few of the monsters he saw there.

He killed several of them, which made his level go through the roof, but he didn't care about that.

Jonah also let Noire independently move around the Auzeth continent because he thought that he might want to live a few months among beasts, but Noire quickly came back because he was bored.

Leaving the beast continent, Jonah headed to the open sea. It was there that he found a large city of merfolk beneath the water.

Unfortunately, he was shunned by them since he was a human. It seemed that they either didn't like humans or were extremely careful with them. So, he didn't overstay and quickly left.

"Hm... I guess it's time to leave." He said as he floated in the sky. "I won't go to Cetren because I honestly just don't want to meet dwarfs again. It's a bummer that the merfolk didn't like humans, but I won't alter reality just so I can live amongst them, so that's that."

Now done with his travels, Jonah decided that it was time to leave.

Curious about how his old friend Keagen Tarolla was, he created a television in front of him that played a recap of Keagen's life after Jonah left.

He saw him meeting his now healthy father with tears in his eyes, him talking to a blacksmith to create a weapon out of the dragon carcass, him getting promoted to SSS-rank due to his dragon-killing achievement (people thought it was him, and he also didn't deny it), and him praying every day to Jonah. True to his word, Keagen made it so everyone he met knew of Jonah's greatness. He even created a religion centered around Jonah as their God and amassed quite a large amount of followers.

"Haha... this guy..." Jonah laughed after 2 hours of watching the recap.

"He is indeed interesting," Noire added from his side.

"Yes, he is." He agreed, "Well, it's time to leave. I'm curious about the next planet I'll visit... will it be a planet filled with normal humans like my Earth? Or will it be a planet filled with intelligent cockroaches? UErgh... that'd be disgusting." He nearly puked just from his thought.

"Noire, can you still live in space? With the vacuum, lack of oxygen, and all of that." He asked.

"I think so, but I do not know," Noire replied after a few seconds of thought.

"Well, it's like that old saying, you won't know if you don't try." Jonah picked the small Noire in his hands, "Can I throw you to space?" He asked before doing it.

"Sure, why not?" Noire said with a hint of excitement in his voice. He, too, also wanted to find out if he could live in space.

"Alright, see ya there, buddy!" Jonah gave himself immense strength and yeeted Noire out of orbit, almost making the poor creature hit the moon.

"Before I leave, I should check my stats out... it's been quite a while since I last saw it."

"Nice, but I don't need this anymore." He said before he erased the ability that granted the creatures of this world their status from himself. Looking to the sky, Jonah tracked Noire's position and found the place where he should teleport to.

Teleporting a distance away from Noire, Jonah waited until the beast came flying at him so he could catch him before he destroyed the moon.

Not having to wait for more than a second, Jonah was quickly hit with an immense force on his chest as Noire came flying at him. He was like the Juggernaut right now - an unstoppable force.

Having to use his omnipotence to stop Noire, Jonah healed himself from the damage and brought Noire to his side after creating a large bubble around him that enabled sound to travel inside.

"You good?" He asked.

"HAHAHA! That was wonderful!" Noire said with happiness clear in his little face. It appeared that he enjoyed being thrown by Jonah to space.

Laughing alongside the creature, Jonah noticed that Noire could survive in space with no problem.

"You're not a divine beast for nothing, then!" Jonah exclaimed.

"Not at all!" Noire said with his small paw in the air in pride.

"So, shall we find a new planet for us to visit?"

"Certainly!"
