What engagement?

The next day of school Jace was came down the stairs dressed in his uniform, his hair a dazzling mess he brush his finger through it and walk out the house.

He pretty much lives alone as his parents are always out on business trips.

"Take care in school today,"

The head maid wave at him as he got in his car and drove out the mansion.

Along the way, Jace look out the window most time to see who his coming behind him as he makes a turn.

Getting close to the school gate Jace parked his car and got down shutting down his car he began making his way to the school main gate.

They was noise coming from the the students, female mostly, their were speaking in excitement looking at one another while pointing.

Some ran past him forward so they could take a look at why going on.

A hand went around Jace shoulder, Knowing who it was Jace said.

"What going on?"

"Don't know probably a celebrity" Malachi replied.

"Right, we have extra curriculum today," Jace said looking stressed even before it began.

"Looking forward to an extra class I hope it a female and not a male, i wouldn't want to listen to boring lectures the entire day" Malachi said .

"What's there in your head anyway, it bunch of rubbish, I wonder how you pass your subjects" Jace said to Malachi shaking his head.

Malachi shrug and and reply.

"I still manage my straight 'As' so not an issues".

Both walk off to class.

Ivanie stab the shake in front of her with a straw and took it to her lips sucking the content.

"I heard there won't be much classes today we are having a seminar after some few subjects." Britney said staring at her newly polished nails.

"Really, then I could really manage a nap, make I could feign a stomach ache and rest at the clinic." Ivanie said with a smile.

"Didn't you leave early yesterday how come you are sleepy now"?" Britney asked.

"My car broke down along the way and I couldn't get home in time, I was extremely stress out and it messed with my sleep." Ivanie told her.

"Ohh" Britney replied also drinking from her shake.

"Guys Guys I heard that someone from the business circle is here and they are really a big shot in the business circle. The seminar will begin in the next hour you should all hurry up if you want to have a good look at him." The kid said before running out to inform other classes.

"So....? You are still up or you aren't really clocking out to the clinic " Britney asked

Ivanie look at her the door for a little while before replying.

"Maybe I should take a little peek at the seminar"

"Great, so we should head over before the front rolls are all occupied" Britney said getting up.

Vlad walk into the school hall before student start filling the place up, he scan around the hall looking at the massive place.

Truly the school was made for the rich, no middle class child would feel at ease being amongst the students.

"Each of the students has a mind of their own, and no matter how discipline the school is you can't entirely control them."

James approach Vlad with a file containing the information regarding the topic he was treating.

"We would be starting in the next hour you should get ready" James said.

Xenia walk in with holding a bag of cosmetics they will be displaying for the students.

"I will have this set up real quick, would you like to cross check them" Xenia ask stretching the bag towards Vlad who eyed it.

"Not necessary, I believe you are good at your work, get on with it" Vlad told her.

Xenia smiled and reply.

"Sure, Vera come over here" She called walking away.

Vlad look at the hall some more before making his way back stage.

Student began trooping in orderly taking their seats, Malachi walk in casually with Jace who trailed behind his hands beside him.

"Malachi!!" The female student call waving at him, some simply thew him a flirty smile.

Malachi smile at them, he sign one of the pretty girls from other classes and approach her.

Jace took his seat close to the front, the boys who sat there earlier stood up making seat for him and two more students who are yet to come.

Jace look around for Ivanie but she hasn't arrived yet, he turn to face the stage where a man had walk in to give a speech.

He introduced himself as James and began introducing their company which many knows of.

"Sorry..."

Jace heard Ivanie voice through the crowd, he turn to see her hand linked with Britney.

Jace wave them over, Ivanie look up to see him and she began scooting over.

"Excuse me, move your leg a little good"

Ivanie took her seat beside Jace giving him a quick smile, Britney turn to look for Jace and her eyes finally landed on him being naughty with a girl in the dark. She shook her head and look away.

"Did we miss anything?" Britney asked Jace who shook his head before replying.

"No, it just starting" Jace said.

"Oh great" came Britney reply.

Next up was Xenia who came on stage she received a cheer from the students since she was well recognized.

"Good day student of Novena high school it a pleasure to be among beautiful and handsome young students like you all, you are our inspiration to producing cosmetics that can bring pleasure and joy to our daily life, Touch is a company where we put everyday of our life on test by producing the best cosmetics to the public based on different preference and life styles." Xenia gave her seminar.

She detailed all her word carefully and made sure to have a good laugh with the students each time, she was interactive with all of them and put everyone's idea first.

"Of course tanning like this could be excessive but trying a different method and using a right toner brings a better results" Xenia answered a student who had just asked a question.

Ivanie admire Xenia achievement, the female looks bold up stage. She seems to have the right answer for everything and it was Amazing.

"I think I would end my speech here and invite our company CEO to give a speech of his own, am sure you all are eager to meet him.

"Of course the female student shout from the crowd, Xenia laughed and dropped the light pen she was holding.

Ivanie bend to pick her note which had just fell down, as she was picking it up, Ivanie heard the name she wasn't expecting be called out.

"Vladimir Markin, founder and CEO of Touch cosmetics "

"What???"

Ivanie shoot up, sitting straight as she saw Vladimir walk out the back stage.

The crowd screamed clapping as he made his way to the stand, he didn't wear a smile but he wasn't frowning either, but being neutral made him even more gorgeous and goo looking, his tuxedo fit him perfectly and he dazzle.

Ivanie frowned.

'He was that big of a figure, wasn't he a casual business man who runs is father business?' Ivanie thought confused.

Vlad eyes search through the audience and his eyes landed on Ivanie who sat at the third row to the front.

"Good day students"

Vladimir cool voice echo in the hall, Three females were seated on the stage, behind them was make-up team who were applying the products unto the females face.

"What's being applied is called the essence shade, it brings out one very soul to the surface......" Vlad face his speech.

Jace excuse himself to use the rest room, on his way there he met a few male students who were talking down to a girl, Jace approach the scene and saw who it was Jeannie.

"What going on here?" Jace asked not liking the fact that the school authorities ignore situations like this, if it includes the scholarship students.

"You should sit this one out Jace" the head of the bully said.

"I can't" Jace replied.

"And why's that?" The head Bully asked.

"She with me, messing around while the school goes on could get you disciplined. She's off limits, do you understand" Jace told the bully .

Jace took hold of Jeannie hand and drag her away.

"Thank you" Jeannie told him softly not looking up at him.

"Do you have issues with not making eyes contact?" Jace asked looking at the tiny figure Infront of him.

Jeannie shook her head.

"No ....I ... I...."

"Never mind, you should go into the hall now the seminar is going o" Jace told her, he didn't wait for a reply before dashing off to his destination.

After Vlad had made his presentation, he excused himself to use the rest room, so he could wash off the cosmetics he had applied earlier on his palm.

While in the rest room, Vlad heard the W.C flush from within the relief area.

Vlad dropped his phone at the side and began washing.

Minutes later Jace came out the relief area and approach the basin to wash his hand, he was surprised to see Vlad in the same toilet as him, he didn't fan boy over him and just casually did his business.

Vlad phone ding indicating a message popped up, Vlad didn't pick it in time.

Jace eyes wen through it by mistake and he saw a shocker of his life.

At the top bar of Vlad phone was a reminder which statement an engagement between Vlad and Ivanie.

At first he thought of overlooking it, it might not be his Ivanie but seeing shanks next to her name.

Jace stood still and look up to see Vlad through the mirror, who smirked his eyes passing him briefly before he made his way out.

'An engagement between his girlfriend and another man, and he wasn't aware of it'.
