~It's not goodbyes, it's I see you later

While the trees became green slowly, the warmth came back now and then, a coldness played over the town. A sadness... A sadness that won't be easily swiped away. While the town mourned the great loss, everyone continued their daily tasks.

It's been 3 days since Anna died. 3 long days of disaster, arguing and sadness. Special for Jeremy. And the major... He got killed in the process. Tyler had an accident, Caroline basically died. If it wasn't for Damon. 3 days of an emotional rollercoaster. Kol kept Kayla a close eye. She was born for danger, and that much was clear. He didn't know how much more she would risk her life for Salvatore, but he was still angry about it.

Yawing Kayla gets out of the shower. "Are you still moping" she says and looks at Kol. Kol looks at her. "I do not mope", he answers, offended. Kayla laughs. "Right" she says. Kol scoffs and follows her. She peeks into Jeremy his room. He is still asleep. She walks downstairs. Elena stands in the kitchen. "Morning" she says. "Morning" greets Elena calmly. "Is Jenna home?" "She had to meet the fire chief about the building. She doesn't know the truth. They've covered it up." John walks towards her. "How is Jeremy?" Kayla looks at John. "Is there a problem Kayla?" Kayla shakes her head. "You hurt her feels mate." "Jer is held up in his room." John nods. Elena stares at her. Like she has never done before. "Can I help?" Elena looks at John his ring. "Kayla there is something wrong darling" says Kol and looks at John who is cutting tomatoes. Elena grabs the knife out of John's hands and cuts off John's fingers, including his ring. Then she pushes John against the sink. "What the fuck" yells Kayla and steps backwards. "Katherina" growls Kol. "Katherine?! Katherina grabs Kayla tight. "Hello John, goodbye John" says Katherina and stabs him." "Let go of her psycho or I'll inform my brother in some way." Kayla trembles in Katherine her arms. "Hello Kayla, we are going to have so much fun" says Katherine and reveals her vampire face. She throws Kayla onto the floor next to John. Kayla breathes deeply and swallows. Kayla crawls towards John and grabs a towel. She pushes it onto his wound while she grabs another towel. "I'm sorry if I hurt you John" she says and wraps his hand in it. "Ice for the finger" says Kol. "Kayla!" Kayla looks at the door and swallows. "Stay here John, stay with me" she whispers and takes care of her uncle. Elena walked into the house. "Kayla? Oh my god" she shouts. She grabs the phone and calls 911. " Hi, I-I need an ambulance to 2104 Maple Street." "Kayla watch out" growls Kol. "Behind you" whispers John. Kayla looks up. "Elena turns around and gasps but she sees no one there. She grabs the bloody knife and cautiously approaches the hallway. Katherine speeds around, frightening Elena, before she runs out the door. Elena is terrified, and then she remembers Jeremy" "Jeremy" she yells. "Kayla" gasps John. ",don't speak" whispers Kayla and puts pressure on his wound. "You are going to be okay." "Don't think so darling" says Kol. Kayla looks angry at him. "Yikes" blows Kol and sits on the kitchen counter.

Kayla looks up as the ambulance closes. She sits with John inside. Kol leans against the doors. "Thank you Kayla" whispers John. Kayla shakes her head. She grabs his hand. "I'll stay with you" she says. Kol sighs. "He isn't worth your loyalty, love" curses Kol. Kayla sighs and leans her head against the wall of the ambulance. "Who do you think that wanted to roast that Salvatore?" Kayla swallows. "He still is family" she mumbles. Kol scoffs. "Family, so overrated!"

Kol looks up from Kayla when Stefan and Elena enter the room. Kayla is deep asleep on the sofa. "Kayla" he says softly. "Kayla." John panics when he sees Elena. "Relax I'm not Katherine" says Elena. Kayla opens her eyes. "Kayla, go outside" says Stefan. "Who are you to give orders mate" says Kol angry. John panics still and tries to press the button to call the nurse, but Stefan grabs his hand and takes it away from him. "Stefan" asks Kayla. "This could get dirty love" says Kol. Kayla grunts. "I stay, I promised." Elena rolls her eyes. "We need to know why Katherine did this to you." "Where is she" asks John. "You tell us" scoffs Stefan. "As if the bug knows" growls Kol. "I don't know" says John and tries to sit up but Stefan pushes him back down. "Stefan" protests Kayla. Stefan looks soft at her. "You're a little too weak to play tough guy. Why don't you just sit back and answer a few questions?" Elena placed the ring back into his hand. "Please, tell us why she's here. What does she want?" "He said he doesn't know" says Kayla, protective. "You care too much darling." "She'll try again; we can't help you if you don't confide in us." John scoffs. "My daughter should have driven a stake through your heart by now." He looks at Elena. "I never spoke with Katherine directly, she never trusted me. So either kill me or get out because I can't stand the sight of you with my daughter." Kayla looks surprised at John. "Stefan don't" she says when he steps closer. "Why do you care so much" asks Stefan. Kayla bites her lip. "Why don't you" she asks angry. "You see the world with such hatred. It's gonna get you killed" growls Elena and runs out. Stefan hesitates, and then he rushes over to John and chokes him. "Stefan" yells Kayla and tries to push him back. "You may be okay with dying but I have a better plan for you" "Stefan" yells Kayla. "Kayla don't interfere" says Kol worried. He bites his wrist and puts it in John's mouth and forces his blood down John's throat. "You now have my blood in your system; all I have to do is kill you. Now take my advice. Leave town. Elena doesn't want you here. You've got about 24 hours before the blood leaves your system, that's enough time to disappear or so help me God, I will turn you into a vampire and I will watch you hate yourself more than you already do." "What did you do" growls Kayla. "You asshole!" "Now you are talking" says Kol. "Clock is ticking" says Stefan and leaves. Kayla rushes towards John. She wipes the blood from his mouth with a napkin. John takes a deep breath and looks at her. "Kayla" he whispers. "I am so sorry John" says Kayla. John shakes his head. Kayla looks at her phone. "Crap, the Lockwood thing!" "Go, I'll be fine. "Please John, don't do anything stupid." John nods. "I'm sorry I treated you like this Kayla. I really am." Kayla shook her head. "I understand. I'll see you soon?" John nods. "Come one Love, he will be alright" says Kol. Kayla sighs and walks out of the hospital searching for a cab.

"I hate this place" curses Kol and looks at the Lockwood mansion. "Same" sighs Kayla and enters the building. "I must find Tyler, his dad was a dick but it is still his dad." Kol sighs. "Come on darling, he is a dick himself." "I know" sighs Kayla and walks between the crowd. "Tyler" she asks and looks at the buffet table. She sighs and turns. "Can I help you" sounds all of a sudden. "Who is this now?" Kayla observes the young man. "I eh. Just looking for Tyler." The man nods. "I am Mason" he says and sticks out his hand. Kayla shakes it. "Kayla." "I heard about you." Kayla swallows. "That's never good." Mason laughs. "Oh it is this time. You are his girlfriend, right?" Kol puffs. "Was" corrects Kayla. "I'm sorry to hear" says Mason. "Me too." Mason nods. "Care for a drink?" "I'm not old enough I believe." Mason chuckles. "Soda is a drink too if I am not mistaking." "Smooth" groans Kol. Kayla nods.

It doesn't take long before Mason and Kayla are talking about the past and drinking. Mason laughs. "I can't believe he would be stupid enough to trade a girl like you." "Too late mate" growls Kol. Kayla grins. "I can't believe he didn't tell me about you. Surfing, uncle, who is so much fun?" Mason chuckles. "I wasn't really in the picture to be honest." "I can't blame you. No offense, but you are so much better than your brother." Mason looked up. "Excuse me, Tyler is in a problem." "What asks Kayla" and follows him. "Kayla" stay says Kol but she ignores him until his frustration... again.

Tyler is in his father's office. He picks up a picture of him with his parents and looks at it. Suddenly, he smashes it against the desk. He proceeds to break all the other things on the desk. Carol walks into the room in shock with Mason and Kayla behind him. "Tyler! What are you doing?" "I hate him!" "Don't say that honey." She gently touches his shoulder to try and calm him. Tyler shoves her onto the couch. Mason grabs him. "Get off of me!" "Tyler" gasps Kayla. "Hey Tyler" yells Mason. Tyler struggles with Mason. "Look at me. Look at me. Calm down. Settle down" says Mason. He puts Tyler down. "Tyler" whispers Kayla and holds him tight. Tyler buries his face into her shoulder and starts to cry. "Oh Ty" whispers Kayla and comforts him. "Please" sighs Kol and rolls his eyes. Kayla ignores him.

She keeps holding him until he no longer needs it, while Mason puts Carol to bed. "Kayla, I'm sorry you had to see that" sighs Tyler. "Tyler, it is okay" says Kayla. Tyler grabs her tight. He pushes her down on the couch. "Oy Mate" growls Kol. "Tyler" gasps Kayla when he lays on top of her. He kisses her passionately. "Tyler stop" Kol says. A pinch twists her stomach. " Tyler" she gasps. Suddenly, Tyler gets his weight off her. "Tyler let the girl go" says Mason and pulls Kayla behind him. Tyler takes a breath and looks at Kayla. " I didn't mean to freak her out. I don't know why I get like this." Kayla trembles on her legs. Mason looks at her. "You okay? Don't worry, okay. Nothing is gonna happen." Kayla nods. "Its the Lockwood gene curse" sighs Mason. " So how'd you get the chill gene?" Mason gives Kayla a glass of Soda. "I didn't'. I just learned to control it." "Kayla, please forgive me." Kayla nods. "You seriously think you shouldn't says Kol." "I do" Kayla says. Tyler nods while Kol sighs. "I'll make an extra bedroom for you" says Mason. "Don't love" grunts Kol. Kol grumbles when she nods. "It's late, its probably the best" she says.
