Chapter 8

Today, Volundr is wearing Dark blue modern fit suit with Agares crest chain bouch. Kuroka is in black kimono. All other boys are also in suit too. He and his peerage are waiting for the underworld train in front of Agares' mansion. This train will be used by diplomatic team.

Volundr and his team see a train coming from a far. The train stops infront of them and opens the door to go inside. When they reach inside, they are greeted by train captain Mr. Black.

"Has Maou Serafall sama arrived?" asked Volundr.

"She is in the third car behind this car.You all are the last person that we have to pick up." replied Mr.Black.

"Sorry for your inconvenience for picking up us."

"It's ok, that is my job. Have a fun trip, Mr.Agares."

After greeting, the captain goes back to his station.

Volundr tells, " You guys stay here. I will go to greet Maou Leviathan sama."

He walks to the back of the train,he greets people here and there although he didn't know these people. Finally, he reaches the car in which Serafall sama is staying. He knocks the door softly.

"Come in "

He opened the door and went inside. He saw Maou Serafall in her business attire.

He greeted, "Good morning, Maou Leviathan sama. I am Volundr Agares, son of the current head of Agares clan. It is nice to meet you."

Serafall looks at him and stated, " You are the boy from Agares clan who is known for lack of clan traits."

"Yes, it is me, madam."

"Your purpose for this trip is to recruit a peerage member, right? "

"Yes, that is my plan and I also wants to know outside world other than underworld. "

"May I asked you one thing? Could you tell me which piece you want to recruit if you do not mind?

" It is a rook piece, madam."

" It is already 3 years that you have received evil pieces. How many pieces you already have now? "

" It is only three, madam.They are a bishop, a knight and a rook. I am very picky when choosing a peerage. And I know that rook and queen pieces are major pieces of a peerage, so I want to take time finding them."

"You are a very thoughtful young man, boy."

"Thank you for your praise."

"I heard that you will participate in rating games in the future."

"Yes, madam, fighting with strong opponents is my dream."

"Then I will be one of your fan ,cheering on you."

Serafall said while smiling at Volundr.

"Thank you."

"There is a possible attack on train during the journey, I want you to take care of that."

"As your wish, madam. Then excuse me."

Volundr walked out of the car, and he think that

Maou Leviathan is usually cheerful but on formal events, she become a serious person. She is very intelligent woman who know how to make relation. No wonder, she is in charge of foreign relation.

Back to his car, he sits down beside Dante, explain the situation as Maou Serafall stated. While knowing about possible attack on train, his peerage become alert and focus.

Volundr is figuring out why Maou Leviathan told him about the attacks,

"She did not paid much attention about this from what I saw. Also there are real guards beside us . Why didn't she use them? There must be a reason. What would it be? Whatever, we will know the reason later."

Suddenly the train stop, after a moment, Maou Leviathan come into our car.

" There is attack on train, I will teleport you out for fighting them. Also remember not to take their life. It more like a challenge than an attack. This will be your first battle experience. "

After hearing her words, they are teleported to the area where the attack happened. There are 8 enemies standing near the head of the train. These people used some kind of magic to stop the train, are waiting someone to come out.

Volundr realize , "This won't be their first time."

Volundr gave commend to his peerage while they are walking toward enemies,

"There are eight, I will pin down the strongest 2.Dante, you will also pin down 3 using whatever you can. Kuroka, follow Dante and help him. You two can also take them out, if you can. Siegfried, you will be leading attacker. Take out the rest as quick as possible. Also, try to limit your power, this is not rating game or we do not have some one who can isolate the field. Clear?"

"Yes, my lord."

The leader of the group come out and say, " You guys are the ones they sent to us for a fight right."

"It is." Volundr replied.

"Group fight or one on one."

" Let's do group fight."

" You are quite brave. Even you are in disadvantage, you still choose group fight."

"Could you stop talking let fight."

Volundr shout, "Do it." and dashes toward the leader and the man beside him.

Dante and Kuroka also dash towards three people from the left side,started to fight.

Siegfried charges to the last three people with his three swords and start attacking.

Dante try to pin down the enemies using all methods throwing object, shooting aura sphere time to time. Kuroka seals one opponent using magic for a few moments. That makes easier for Dante for hold down the other two.

These people, they all have sacred gear.

The two opponent of Volundr, the leader have a glove that boost his attack power and the other one have something that would boost speed and have Ice attack on his feet.

Dante 's opponents, one have shield,one have spear,the one sealed by Kuroka has something that could boost allies stats.

The other three are two have bow type,another one have sword type.They are all high speed opponents.

There are three battles happen simultaneously.

Dante is having a little trouble. The spear man hides behind the shield man and harasses Dante endlessly. Occasional help from supporter guy make difficult for Dante to hold them down. The timely assistance from Kuroka solve this problem.

Volundr is fighting and not letting his opponents reinforce other.

Leader shouted, "He is not letting us reinforce other. If we keep on going like this ,we will fall in their flow. Used your strongest abilities of sacred gear."

Leader punches are getting stronger and the kicks from other make Volundr stiff. But he endure it by using Touki. The golden color Touki envelop him making him stronger, faster and harder. He easily attacks and defends his opponents, also make counter-attacks from time to time.

"Two battle fields are in stalemate. We will be counting on you, Siegfried. Only you can break this situation. Our victory is depending on you. Do not disappoint us." Volundr puts his trust on Siegfried.

Siegfried was knitted by two bowmen. Siegfried puts focus assault on swordman.

Swordman is good. However, his opponent is Siegfried, the current wielder of Gram.

Strong assault from Siegfried make the swordman gradually lose the ground. Soon, Siegfried defeated him. One down,two to go.

Siegfried increase his speed and chase down the bowmen. Focus fire on him does not stop his advance. Soon he catches up one of them quickly and take him down. Then another one follows.

After finishing battle on their side,Siegfried put his attention to Dante side.

Seeing conditions are unfavourable, both of Volundr opponents shout "Balance Break" .

Now leader kick are also power up and both his kicks and punch are also stronger. The other one's kicks produce sharp ice blade .

"Hey hurry up guys." Volundr cries out.

Siegfried and Magnus focus on spearman. Dante holds shield guy and Kuroka attacks the last one.

Under combine close combat assault of Siegfried and Magnus, Spearman can't use his spear effectively.

Soon he was defeated. Then supporter guy, followed by the shield guy.

"Battle situation becomes clear. Are you willing to admit defeat?" Volundr asks.

"Let's end it with our strongest attack."

"Alright."

Three people went silent for a while, then made one last final attack.

Bang! Bang!

Both of Volundr opponents passed out. Some people walk out from hiding, give some treatments

,take wounded and leave. The spell on the train was lift.

Volundr praises his team, " Good job. Everyone done their job seamlessly."

We went back into the train.

"That was a good fight. " said Serafall.

"Thank you, Maou Leviathan sama.Could I ask you something. " said Volundr.

"Go ahead."

"Who are these people? Why is not allowed to kill them? "

" These people are sacred gear user from unknown organizations. They usually challenge people for a fight. But most of them do not kills their opponents. There are many cases, some devil recruits these people for their peerage. We thinks this is an opportunity for younger devil to test their battle skills. Do you get it now?"

"Understood, Maou Leviathan sama. Could you please arrange for our treatments?"
