Chapter 25: My Memories Part 1

Last time, Rémi visited his mother in San Jose. She was so thrilled to see her in good spirits. Now the visit has come to a close. Bye mom. Rémi replied. Now come by and visit more often. Felicidad replied. Don't worry mom, I will visit you when I can. Rémi replied. Thank you, Jax. Felicidad replied.

She kissed his cheek.

As he drove back to San Francisco; I was so impatient to see Rémi's face. When he reached his place, he unpacked his car and brought his things to his room.

The next morning, he looks at his phone. Damn, I'm late for work. Rémi muttered.

He took a quick shower and put his clothes and shoes on. When he got into his car, there was traffic on the way to the house.

He sighs.

When he arrives, Mai and I are happy to see him.

How was your visit to see your mother? Mai asked. My mom is herself. The bubbly and optimistic woman I know. She's finally married to a decent man. Rémi replied. How was your visit, Rémi? Esme asked. It was nice, Esme. Rémi replied. I haven't seen you have that much happiness since the day we saved you. Esme replied.

Rémi smiles.

I stood still, thinking of a moment from my memories.

Rémi and I snuck out one Friday night after my father, Mai, and his wife went out of town. We went to Half-Moon Bay State Beach for a few hours. It was so beautiful; the timing was perfect. My dad's family was out of town and no calls to see if I was ok. She looks like she's thinking about Half-Moon Bay State Beach night trip when they went out of town. Rémi thought. What did you need me for this morning? Rémi asked. Hey Rémi, you look a little exhausted, too. Esme replied. I left late from my mom's. She insisted I stay longer so she could send me off with food. I didn't finish it either. Traffic was horrible on the way back. Rémi replied. Oh yeah, it will become crazy when you reach the San Francisco exits. Esme replied. What time did you come in? Esme asked. I stopped to nap from all the food I ate. When I came to, it was twelve in the morning. Rémi replied. I slept little to add. Rémi replied. Why not nap in the house? Esme asked. No, I don't have to. Rémi replied. I whole heartily agree. Minato replied. Dad? I asked. He looked at me. Stay Tuned.
