"Yes, that's the name with your ex right? Lily says she takes after her father in resemblance, when I first saw her , the day I visited my friend's school where she attended I picked interest in her and asked my friend about her. That was how I got to learn her story." Mrs Vanessa narrated.

"Hmm, let's not talk about that again, we will visit the hospital tomorrow, and pleas she is really my child then we have to keep it from her."

I had heard enough, I quietly tiptoed back to my room, shut the door behind me and laid on my bed. A lot ran through my mind."Could it be that Mr. David is my father? If he is, why on Earth did he abandon my mother, why did he go ahead to marry someone else when he knew my mom was having his child? Could it be that he never loved my mother? Then why couldn't he take responsibility even if he didn't want to marry her? how do I even cope with living with a father who abandoned me and contributed to my sadness for thirteen good years, someone who was actually the cause of my mother's sorrows? Could it be that my mom had laid a curse on him? That he would never have a child again?" Imagine being adopted by a father who actually was you aborted.

"Lily" Mrs Vanessa called from behind my door, I opened the door and received her.

"Wow, a nice work you've done here, you've arranged your things so well and I can sense that the room is happy to have you possess it" I just smiled and watched her observe the room. " Sorry I couldn't help you with the arrangements, I was busy with some other things, you know? I have always wanted my first child to own this room, but unluckily for me, no one came forth and fortunately for me, you came forth. Thanks for accepting to come with me, and I promise you Lily, I will make sure you never regret your joining our family."

"Thanks ma'am, and I will make sure to be a good daughter to you and give you two the joy of been parents" I felt pity for her.

"How about you call me mom"

"Oh yeah, that's right mom". She made a wild smile and gave me a hug.

"Your dad is waiting at the dinning room''.

Walking down the stairs, the light were all off, and there was darkness everywhere, I couldn't feel the presence of Mrs. Vanessa, I wasn't hearing a sound either.

"Is there a problem with the light?" I was asking Mrs Vanessa but got no response. I got scared." Was I been brought here for ritual? Didn't she just a promise to me? Why all these now?"😢🥺😭
