"Welcome darling" Mrs Vanessa said as she welcomed her husband. They had been married for 8 years as she said and they have childless after two miscarriages. With a hug and a peck she took his bag from him. "That is Lily the girl we've been talking about," she said nodding her head towards where I sat. "See? She looks like you, people would hardly believe that she isn't our child." She continued as they walked towards me. I could get a very good view of him, he was dark skinned too, tall and muscular and 😰😬😰😬 we actually looked alike. At times I wished I had an elder brother, I felt like it was a wish come true standing in front of an elder brother 🤗🤗 or should I say father 🙄🙄. I would have concluded that he was my dad but recalled mom say they my dad wasn't in the country and had married a foreigner having two kids.

"You are Lily? He asked as he stretched his right hand to get mine. " Yh good evening" I replied with a smile waving off my thoughts and giving out my hand🤝🤝. "We haven't met before right?" He asked again. It took me few seconds to give an answer as I searched my mind to know if I've seen him somewhere. "No" I replied shaking my head.

"And your surname?" He threw another question.

"Still Lily"🤷🤦🙄

"Why?" Mehn I was getting tired of the questions 🥺

"Because I have an unknown father and can't bear his name".😣😣

"Seriously?" 🙄😳

"Darling don't you think you should go freshen up and you too would chat more over dinner" Mrs Vanessa suggested .

"Yh you are right, come along I wanna speak with you" The couples climbed up the stairs to their room and I stayed behind for some minutes then returned to my new room, there I took my bath did my changing and headed for the dinning room. I was close to the dinning room when I heard the couples talking about me. I knew it was wrong to eavesdrop but I did it🙃.
