The Letter from Hogwarts

10-year-old Lilian Elizabeth Evan who is also known as Lily wakes at 8 in the morning at Saturday to make breakfast for Mr and Mrs Bandales, who was proven to be too old to raise kids. Though they always shrug it off with an "Oh, we raised 10 children before, why don't we raise one more before we die". Lily was lost in thought about what she would do with all her homework while she put her long fiery red hair in a neat long ponytail with her hazel eyes staring off at the distance to see one dot pop in the autumn coloured sky.

Finally, she stood up and went to the bathroom her fiery red hair swaying behind her. She washed her face and brushed her teeth shortly. She went to the kitchen and got everything ready. By the time she was done Mr and Mrs Bandales were already sitting on the table talking about what they should wear to the family event for the school.

They quickly eat breakfast, and Lily was just going back to her room when Ms Bandales hold her back. "Wait Lily dear, there is something we need to tell you," she said.

Lily quickly turned around. "What is it Mama Lola?" she asked.

"We will be sleeping as usual in our bedroom."

"Yes, I already know that Mama Lola," Lily said quickly.

"and we think you will be expecting a letter today. So if you see a letter do not throw it away"

Mr Bandales continued.

"Yes, Papa Lolo," she said.

Later that afternoon when Lily was in her room finishing her Science essay about how the liver works when suddenly a there was a scratching noise at her window. She turned her head to the window to see a barn owl sitting at the windowsill of her room. Her jaw dropped. But owls only come out at knight Lily thought. She stood up and quickly opened the window. The Barn owl flew into her room and stood with one leg up at her desk.

She untied the letter from the barn owl leg, and read who it's for and from.

She opened the letter eagerly and read.

She took another parchment which has all her books and supplies. She thought it was another prank from her bullies and didn't even know what your owl means. So she just fell asleep on her bed.

The very next day Lily had a plan to ask what this means. So her hazel eyes full of determination, she left her bedroom and did her morning routine. After finishing breakfast she finally asked.

"Mama Lola?"Lily asked

"Yes Lily dear?" she said turning to face her.

"I received a letter yesterday about Ho-" she said.

But before she could continue there was a knock on the door.

"Ah, Lily dear could you open the door please." Ms Bandales said.

Her face falling, Lily opened the hoping it wasn't the neighbours or her school bullies.

But what she saw behind the door wasn't the neighbours, it wasn't any of school bullies as well. It was a tabby cat sitting at the front of the door. Feeling slightly confused, Lily blinked then looked around.

Seeing as no one was there. Maybe it was just a prank Lily thought.

She looked back at the cat but there wasn't a tabby cat. What she saw instead was a very stern woman wearing glasses and a dark emerald cloak.
