Chapter 8: Battle at The Beach, Part 2

"Unlike you, I had important things to attend to--" Cutting her off, Nixanya laughed, and began to taunt her.

"Really? Soooo MANY important THINGS to do!" she said, smacking Nanao across the face, which caused the girl to take a few steps back.

Naisyn jumped in front of Nanao on her hands and feet, in a cat like stance, hissing at Nixanya. She then stood, putting up her arms up.

"NO! BAD!" she yelled.

Nixanya clenched her fist at this, Naisyn shaking in fear. Nanao silently placed a hand on her shoulder. Naisyn stopped and looked to the girl. Nanao stepped towards her. Wiping the blood off her lip, she slammed her fist into Nixanya's head, causing her to fall headfirst into the ground.

"Stop acting like such a child!" she looked down at her, angered.

Nixanya spun her body, kicking the back of Nanao's ankle then jumping from the ground and throwing a punch into her stomach, full force. Nanao was thrown from the force, and Storm ran by, catching her and jumping back a short distance from the force.

"Don't you dare call me a child, you bitch! You're out takin' care of the fuckin' castle and I gotta stay here, bored? Fuck that noise!" she yelled, a dark red aura emanating from her.

Suddenly, Celeste appeared behind Nixanya, hovering a few inches off the ground. She lightly tapped the back of her neck. Nixanya's aura quickly dissipated, and the girl passed out and fell into the warm sand.

"Enough, Nixanya," she softly said to the girl, slowly lowering herself from the air to the ground and landing softly on her feet.

She sighed, looking around at the three, and then down at Nixanya.

"I assume you four are level headed enough to understand me, no?" she asked, the others nodding and answering "Yes".

Celeste began to speak, then stopped and looked to her right as she heard marching. From the other side of the green bushes, flags were seen, being carried by men in armor. A few palm trees and bushes stood in the way of Celeste and the others. She broke a sweat, gritting her teeth at the symbol on the purple flag. A large black triangle with three smaller black triangles above it. The symbol for the Tenebris nation.

Suddenly the palm trees and bushes were cut down by a large sword. A tall, but somewhat slender man with a blonde handle bar and chin puff stood in a suit of armor without a helm. He held his broadsword over his shoulder. Yelling loudly, he hyped the 'army' that stood behind him, the soldiers shouting as well. In reality it was about fifty men.

"YAAAAGH!!!!!!" he yelled, holding his broadsword into the air, the blade shining brightly from the sun as a show of power.

The army yelled again the same way in return, and the man in the suit of armor who seemed like he was leading them put his left hand up, signaling for the army to be silent as he was about to speak. Putting his sword back into its scabbard, he placed his right hand on his chest, bowed slowly and then got back up.

"What an honor it is, meeting the queen of the Celestial kingdom-heh heh-" he said this sarcastically, stifling a laugh.

Storm and the others froze. They had tried to keep minimal attention earlier but look where that had gotten them now. Storm looked to his right, seeing Nixanya still down and sighed with relief. However, the man took note of this.

"Eh? What's with the sigh of relief, boy? You worried about your friend? Wasn't there a fight that broke out earlier among you all? Geh heh heh-" he laughed, looking at Storm, who didn't know what to say.

Strength wise, this guy was cake and could've been taken out in a minute. However, there was a signing that was to happen in a few hours and a fight could call the whole thing off. They needed to play smart.

Looking to where Storm was looking, a sinister grin crept upon the man's face.

"Constant quarrels are about, people fighting violently among themselves? Well, this would surely make a fine example for the monarchy in Nova. So-is this how the Celestial kingdom functions?" he asked, laughing as he spoke.

"We're the ones asking the questions here! Who the hell are you?" Storm asked, intervening.

Celeste looked over to Storm, about to tell him to stop, but instead answered his question.

"His name is Duvont Reyes. He's the Novalian army's main general-however-" she spoke, looking over back to Duvont, the man giving a sinister smile. "Duvont-to what do we owe the-pleasure of your presence?" she asked, almost stuttering at the last part of her sentence, her voice quivering with rage.

Storm glanced at Celeste from the corner of his eye, ready to attack in case Duvont tried anything.

Duvont looked to Storm and Celeste, shrugging, the grin still on his face. The man chuckled a bit, motioning with his hand for someone to come from the crowd of soldiers. The soldiers moved as someone came through, the visor of his helm closed. The visor was gold, trimmed with silver, and the rest of his armor was steel. His armor clanked as he walked by the others, standing by Duvont.

Storm instantly recognized this and took a step back, cautious of the man. The soldier had one sword being held by the scabbard, the strap crossing his over his chest. Duvont presented his soldier to Celeste and the others and began to speak. He noticed Storm making cautious movements and chuckled.

"There's nothing, boy. My soldiers and I merely wanted to greet the queen and bring good tidings, as we wouldn't want tension at the signing, no?" he spoke. Storm did not answer, as he was still tense.

Duvont put his hand forward, motioning for the soldier to walk over to Storm. The knight approached the boy, his armor clattering and the steel shining in the sunlight. The armor had gold trimming to it. He put a hand out, offering Storm a handshake. Of course, Storm found this shady and looked at Duvont, annoyed and angry.

"You serious? You want me to shake this dude's hand? Not happening," he said to him, crossing his arms.

Duvont remained silent, chuckling again and laughing. He stroked his chin puff and took a step forward.

"You dare refuse my offer, boy? I come here with my army and you come to MY island and I have my soldier offer you a hand and you REFUSE? No," he said and took another step forward.

He kept walking towards Storm, menacingly until he stood in front of the boy, his face full of anger. He stood toe to toe with Storm, the man much taller than the boy.

Storm clenched his fist, saying to Duvont, "You don't scare me. You want a fight? Just say so."

Celeste immediately barked an order to Storm, "Storm! Absolutely not!" She took a step as Duvont began to speak.
