Chapter 11: Battle at The Beach, Part 5

"-Naisyn-?" Angel spoke.

"Hn? What's wrong?" Naisyn answered her question with another, as she hadn't been speaking for the time they'd been walking back to the port.

"-What's all this about? What are we even doing here-?" she asked, Naisyn shrugging, holding her hand and leading her on.

"-I dunno much of what's going on, and to be honest, I'd rather not fight. Lest came here for a signy thingy-? I don't really get it, but she told me that if I was good, she'd get me fish! So-it's gotta be a good thing, right? She cares about us-like she shows her love for me by feeding me more fish! You get it?" she asked, looking at Angel as the girl stifling a laugh.

She laughed aloud, finding what she was saying childish. She rubbed Naisyn's head softly, earning giggles from her.

"Thank you, Naisyn," she said to her, giving off a smile. They got onto a ship, and it began to sail rather quickly, the two watching the island as they sailed back to the castle.

Naisyn then thought for a moment before asking Angel, "-Does this mean you're getting fish, too?"

Nanao kicked a soldier, shattering its steel armor, the body falling to the ground. Storm cut down multiple soldiers, finishing them off with a lightning strike. He fought with the golden helm soldier. Storm jumped atop his shoulders, flipping him over and punching him. Summoning his wingblades, Storm held down the soldier, impaling him in multiple parts of his body.

"Nice one, Storm," Nanao complimented him as she tightened her gloves, opened her palm, and shot a ray of black energy into a crowd of the soldiers.

"Finally, I'll see who the hell you are. I know you've been stalking us." Storm placed his hand on the man's helm, attempting to remove it.

"Heh-go ahead. It doesn't matter, anyway," He said.

Storm froze, thinking this through.

"The hell are you on about?" he asked the man, the soldier only shrugging.

The man suddenly exhaled, his voice deeper.

"I'm someone your queen, Celeste, fears. I've yet to obtain all my power, however I've awaited this moment, to see the potential of her warriors. Get stronger, boy. For when I arrive, I won't be pleased if any of you aren't strong enough," he spoke.

Black smoke eerily crept from the helm slowly as the man spoke.

"-Just-who the hell are you?" Storm asked, removing the helm.

He tossed it behind him, and the gold helm landed in the sand, tilted to its side.

"You could say I'm an old friend of Celeste-keh heh-" The man chuckled. He had brown hair and his eyes were bloodshot, like all the other soldiers that were attacking, however, this one's sclera were black. On his face were red veins on his neck and forehead, some appearing near the corners of his eyes, a small amount, but it was definitely smoke emanating from his face.

"-I've said enough. I will rest, now. Get stronger, boy. Impress me. I want to see you die-die FIGHTING! You served me well, my host. I thank you," he yelled, laughing then suddenly passing out, the smoke dissipating from his face.

The soldier awoke again and coughed up more black smoke, causing Storm to cover his face with his hand, but he remained atop the soldier, as to prevent him from escaping. Storm felt something, something strong through his words. However, he was merely a soldier, who was just beaten by the same person that he threatened.

Suddenly, the soldier's sclera faded from black to white. He looked around, and then realized Storm was holding him down. Then, he grinned.

"LONG LIVE LORD ASURA!!!!!!!!!" he yelled, his voice distorted. His chest glowed bright red. Storm widened his eyes. The man's body exploded into red flames. Storm was launched through multiple trees, the trees snapping like twigs, the boy landing in the dirt.

"C-crap-that stings-" Storm muttered to himself, wincing as he lay in the grass.

This puzzled him. He was just in a beach just a moment ago, so why was he seeing a grassy area? He then realized.

"I got thrown from that guy and landed in a-forest?" He thought to himself, wondering exactly how powerful the explosion was.

He stretched, standing up. Part of his jacket on fire, particularly his shoulder, and he put it out with his hand. Storm was flustered at how he didn't understand and attempted to return to the battlefield, running as fast as he could, sparks of lightning following close behind. Regardless of how he felt, he couldn't help but smile.

Meanwhile, Celeste walked across the battlefield, the soldiers not attacking her. They hissed and snarled at her, fearing her. They were instinctive, like animals, but they knew when someone or something was simply too strong. Celeste looked around, seeing the soldiers circle around her. She sensed Nanao near the edge of the beach and sensed Storm much farther away.

"The forest-? No, this is good. He isn't in danger. Neither are Naisyn and Naeterou. Nanao and Nixanya however..." she thought to herself and inhaled deeply.

"NANAAAO!" she yelled loudly. Nixanya was still fighting and slaughtering the soldiers in cold blood, however Nanao saw Celeste rising towards the sky.

Sprinting towards Nixanya, she jumped into the crowd of soldiers, shooting energy shots through them.

"Nixanya! We need to leave! Now!" she yelled, Nix turning to look at her.

"Are you kidding? You gotta be kidding! I just got my ass beat and then now I find this blessing of a war and you want me to stop!?" Nixanya made a fist, attempting to punch Nanao, however Nanao perceived this and moved to the side.

Grabbing Nix's arm, she threw her over her shoulder, Nixanya being thrown to the ground.

Nanao yelled at her, "CALM DOWN."

Nixanya grabbed her by her face, slamming her into the ground, her other hand beginning to claw at her. With green flames in her hand, she cut Nanao in her face, knocking off her glasses.

"You've always given me shit. Now I'll give you sh--oh-." The girl looked up, seeing Celeste spread her wings and begin to chant, a golden ring behind her.

"-Is that-?" Nix couldn't even finish, as she was confused as to why Celeste would resort to that tactic on short notice.

"N-Nixanya-We need to leave. Now." Nanao said this, standing up.

Nixanya nodded, summoning her wings, which were black and had a spike at the end of each wing. She flew fast into the air.

Nanao was surrounded. Nixanya noticed and threw a beam of energy, causing the enemies to burn up into green flames and creating somewhat of a path for Nanao. Nanao ran as fast as she could, nearing the end of the beach, only to bump into Storm. The boy tripped, falling over and hitting his head, complaining loudly shortly after.
