Prologue Chapter 1 | behind his smiles
jo, a guy with the sweetest personality but was broken inside. he is born with a little sister. lost many of his friends and his mother, is his biggest fear that pushed him to become a hero to end the chain of trauma. is now known as "darklight" at the age of 19. he works as a therapist at the Cloverose medical hospital.

one day, jo's mom gave birth to her youngest daughter, jen. after jen was born, unfortunately, their mother, mary rose died after experiencing some mysterious severe illnesses.
after the death of their mother, a few years later, their father, Frank, decided to bring them to a foster home for now. after he decided to take his kids to the orphanage since he couldn't raise them and they are in financial problems ever since mary rose died.
however, he promised them that once he got remarried, he will pick them up once they are no longer suffering in severe problems.
one day, jo woke up and he saw a girl in front of him.
"good morning! so you are new here? I'm celina! its nice to meet you! I'm also new here too."
"jo. it's a pleasure to meet you, celina."
"let's go downstairs and eat breakfast!" celina pulled jo's arm and dragged him into the dining table.
"breakfast is ready children!" their orphan caregivers exclaimed.
after they ate their breakfast, they went outside to play.
while they are playing outside, they suddenly encountered war machines. their caregiver told them to go back.
all children there are in terror and fear and they went back inside the orphanage.
jo tried to pull celina's arm to drag her back into the orphanage.
unfortunately, half of the children died in the war and celina was one of them. when jo and celina is about to go inside, celina got shot in the chest while jo got injured on his arm yet he survived.
after the war...
"oh my! noooo! the kids! half of them died!" their caregiver exclaimed. while they are treating the children who got injured, others went missing.
jen just woke up. she and her brother have separate rooms. but she just woke up on the gunshots and decided to check what happened.
she went downstairs and after jo was given a treatment, he stood up and decided to check on his sister if she's okay.
a few days later... a man decided to adopt jo.
"heya kiddo"
"yes?"
"I've decided to adopt you, now come with me"
the following day... jen got adopted next.
...
jo is now at junior high school that time. after the man who adopted and raised him when he was at 11 years old, he didn't know that this is finally his chance to become a superhero. but for now, he have to undergo training.
"okay kiddo, if becoming a superhero is your wish, you have come to the right place" the man who adopted him was his mentor named Mr. Davis, he went into the room where pure technology and futuristic stuff were there.
"woah! this place is so huge!" jo exclaimed.
"I know right. but this is where you will be training to become a superhero. you'll have to be in training for 6 years ahead."
"6 years?"
"you're right. but after you've finished your three year training, you'll receive your super suit. then as for the other 3 year training, you'll be using your suit now while fighting." his mentor told him.
"oh yes! I'm going to be a future hero yay!"
"are you sure you can balance your training time and study time?" his mentor is curious if he would like to continue to do the training or not.
"hmmmm, I guess but... what time?"
"so, your school is at morning. your training time will be at afternoon. and of course, you need rest so I'll give you time to rest which is at night time."
"thanks master!"
"you should get proper break so you will be able to focus okay? don't make yourself stressed."
"okay sir..."
his mentor did give him a break, but the other 2 years of training were postponed for now so he can also focus on his studies first. and they only perform training whenever jo has his free time.
