Chapter 5 | to the rescue

meanwhile, li's mother is starting to get angry because she isn't home yet and she thinks she would go out with her friends again.

an hour passed, li haven't arrived in her house yet. her mom will pick up the phone and call her dad. li's dad didn't answer her. it took her many tries until he finally answered.

"sweetheart, what do you want"

"honey, its 9pm already yet li haven't arrived yet"

"don't worry honey, let's contact her"

"oh okay..."

they tried calling and texting li but she didn't answer.

a few days passed li hasn't arrived yet and she have been absent in school for almost a week. her friends are even looking for her, they contacted her but she didn't reply.

li's parents went into the police station to look for her. then the officers decided to broadcast that there is a missing person.

then li's friends decided to make missing person posters and give it to her parents.

"missing person: lina copernicus

last seen on Friday, September 13th

a sixteen year old senior high school student

red hair, amber eyes, wears a school uniform

for any info please contact gregorio copernicus. thank you! reward: $1000"

"can you help us put these missing person posters?" li's mom requested

"sure we will" her friends answered.

"but can we ask the officers to permit us to put this in every part of san maria city?" her dad suggested.

"that'll do". her mom agreed

so they went into the police station again to be permitted to put these missing person posters in every place.

li woke up and found herself in the basement surrounded with bad people making sure she won't escape. but good thing, li is a really clever girl and she is prepared for situations like this because she has strict parents and didn't know having them is a blessing in disguise. all thanks to her parents, they didn't know they were training her incase when she gets kidnapped or she has to spy on someone.

luckily, those people who are guarding her are asleep and she tries not to make a noise.

when bad guys come to her, she would grab any object and hit them.

daisy found darklight wandering in the night looking for that stranger who destroyed their city.

daisy started to tap darklight on his shoulder.

"psst, hey!! can you help us find this girl? are you familiar with her?"

she showed him a picture of li.

he is already familiar with her. he saw her while having an appointment with one of his client, which is li's dad. but he has to pretend he doesn't know her so no one will notice that his real identity is jo who works as a therapist. but is willing to help li's parents and friends.
