Chapter 27 | secret where nobody knows

after having lunch with li's family, they all finally went home and taking some rest after a long trip back home.

the next day, at school, they have a group project in english. li and kat are assigned in the same group. while they are starting to work on their project and li tries to help them, kat is very busy and she was the leader of the group.

"kat, psst"

"what do you want? im-"

"what am i supposed to do? should i help you with that?"

"thanks bestie, but here are the materials..." when kat decided to check her stuff beside her, she didn't know she left it on her locker.

"wait a minute..! OH NO! I LEFT THE MATERIALS ON MY LOCKER!" kat was panicking and their doing their project near their blackboard and her classmates are also busy doing the project. their locker is outside.

"li.."

"what?"

"can you get the materials in my locker? its right beside yours. the key is on my bag. go check it hurry!"

li followed what she instructed. when she opened kat's locker, she found the materials needed for the english project and noticed something... she found a light blue bracelet and hid it in her locker so nobody will pull it off from kat and revealing it she is frostyinu. nonetheless, she brought the materials anyway since its been three minutes left before english class is over. she went back to the classroom.

"thanks li!" kat thanked her.

"no problem but... can we go to the restroom later at recess? i would like to have a word with you..." li said this in a low tune.

"oh ok..." kat replied and has no idea why li wants to talk to her in private.

an hour passed, english class is finally over and its recess time. kat went into the restroom and li is the only one whos inside the restroom.

"li? why did you gather me here?" kat asked. li showed her the bracelet that she found in her locker. "hey! that's mine!" li didn't let her reach the bracelet.

"not until you explain what the heavenly **** is this. i know this isn't an ordinary bracelet. but this reminds me of someone who wears this. a half-dog, half-human appearance with almond hair. she is a superhero who wields icy powers. ive seen her wearing this when after i was found from being seized by someone, you arent there.. but frostyinu is the one who appeared instead.." li sounded cold.

"i-i..."

"is it true... you are frostyinu? if this wasnt you then who is really she?"

kat sighed and not knowing what to answer and has no choice left but to confess it.

"that frostyinu girl you are talking about..? do you really need the truth? yes. she is me. im the person who wears cyan and light blue suit.. i can shapeshift into a shiba inu. will you please dont tell anyone who am i?"

li eyes was widened and she couldn't believe it. but instead of being mad at her for not telling her who is she really was. she couldve asked her calmly and tried to understand things. she sighed.

"just because i sound cold and serious, doesn't mean im mad at you or anything.. but why would you hide this thing in your closet? why didn't you tell me that you are that 8th superhero? and also, how are you supposed to study and do superhero missions at the same time?"

"i know. your starting to ask me alot of questions...first of all, i don't want anybody to pull off my sleeve then everybody will know my secret identity, second, why the hell am i supposed to do that, tsk people would obviously come after me and lastly, you don't have to worry about me nowdays. im not dodging your question but i did my job just like how you handle your noble duties as a princess. that's it. what would you like to learn more?" kat explained a whole ass essay to her.

"yeah, ok, ok i get it. heroes do hide their identity to protect themselves and to protect their loved ones right?" li took a second to realize things. but it seems like recess is almost over and they couldn't eat. they went out of the restroom and swiftly went back into their classroom and the next subject teacher is about to arrive. they have no choice but to sneak into eating in class.

"damn it lilina! why would you want to waste our time discussing serious topics inside the restroom?!"

"sorry katrina." li whispered to her. "why don't we sneak eating in class."

"i can't do that. you are a sneaky type of person and its only you who is able to do that." kat replied.
