New world for the Nephilim

Gabriel, waited in anticipation for the game map to load after inputting the name of his created race as 'Nephilim' on the last character setting page.

The screen began to show glitches while blinking in the rainbow colors scheme.

Then the screen changed to the image of a swirling rainbow fog, like a mysterious space gate.

"The graphics for the game is really on another level. I wonder how the old man got his hands on this game. Even this Stargate-like opening theme looks very real. I hope the gameplay is the same..."

While admiring the graphics for the game, some words appeared on the screen.

'Do you wish to go on an adventure into a far of universe, in the world of Ueyhaim? A world briming with dangers and adventure, a world where mortals and immortals roam?'

With a terms and condition window appearing, which he didn't bother to read, he straight away accepted as he was starting to feel impatient with the slowness of the game starting.

A transparent hand appeared in the swirling rainbow fog after the terms and conditions window disappeared. The transparent hand seems to zoom in on the screen little by little.

Knowing this to be a normal phenomenon for the game, he thought of the words his eyes passed over on the terms and conditions window before accepting.

"Enjoy your wonderful experience of Reincarnating? What a weird choice of words"

Bringing his focus back to the screen, his mind froze from the impossibility of what occurred, as he thought he had a scary hallucination.

However, before he could recognize that it was not a hallucination, the hand that was originally zooming in from the screen, had shot out of the screen and entered his body. Before he blacked out, he saw a transparent him, being pulled out of him into the swirling fog gate.

After the transparent hand along with the transparent Gabriel disappeared into the screen, the computer along with all electrical items in the single story apartment exploded. Burning the whole apartment down.

...

When Gabriel came to, he was in a dark space with a viscous fluid surrounding him.

Trying to think back to how he had gotten here, he remembered that he was about to play a game he had newly installed on his PC. The game had allowed him to customize a unique race for himself. He had accepted the weirdly sounded words on the terms and conditions.

'A hand... Yes! A transparent hand had pulled me...'

'Was that just my imagination?'

Gabriel thought to himself.

If it had been his former self in his childhood, he would have straight away doubted himself even with the weird situation he found himself in.

Before being adopted by the old man, he had been an orphan living alone in the slums of the slums district. With stealing as his only way of securing his livelihood. However, even with his inate sense of danger he had cultivated then, he had still sneaked into that monster of an old man's house without sensing the danger.

Luckily for him, that old man had just adopted him after he was caught. He had made him experience a normal life of a child his age and gone to school. Although he didn't have any person he could call his best friend, he still had friends.

The old man however, had a habit of speaking what Gabriel had till now complained to be nonsense as well as going on about some training he would be needing for the future which until now didn't see any need for.

The discipline he had been given by the old man had shaped his life from the ruffian he was though he could revert to his gangster ways anytime he wanted to scare away trouble.

The main point is the things that the old man had talked about often. He often said things that only a fantasy novel or manga setting would use. Like wading off Ghosts and Evil Spirits, hunting demons and what not. I used to laugh him off even when he supervised my physical exercises while saying he was training a successor untill an incident where till now had still doubted himself occurred.

...

As he struggled to free himself from the dark, viscous fluid filled space, his body that had been in a feutus position stretched out as his left hand touched a slightly hard mambrane-like wall.

Having touched something other than that viscous fluid, he pushed against it instinctively which caused cracks to appear on the wall. He continued to push even harder.

Suddenly, with him and the viscous fluid, was toppled out of the space he was at. After a few minutes of coughing, he managed to clear the slightly dried fluid of his body like pulling rubber stuck on his body.

While doing that, he managed to find his body in a weird state. He was awfully shorter than he remembered himself to be. Also, his originally short black hair had become silver white hair with the tips in a grey to black gradient color.

There were weird black tattoos on his left lower arm. And most of all, his eyesight felt a little off, even if he felt it should be normal.

"What in the heavens is..."

While about to swear, he turned back to see what had been confining him but became speechless at the sight.

A giant broken egg that was hung on a cave wall with root-like vines about 1m above ground.

"Just what the heck!?"

Gabriel exclaimed while holding his head.
