Surprise

Since his living room practically had been stained by the creature's purification process. Reinn had to wipe the remaining ash from the floor. As he busied himself on wiping the floor clean, his mind drifted to the scene where the strange creature almost killed him.

He never thought a day where he'll be faced up against a monster would happen. For him, living normally as any other people did was the best thing he could think of. But, the appearance of the monster, a student from one of the five academies, made him realize that this world wasn't normal in the first place. There's plenty of mysteries, bizarre thing, dangerous creatures out there.

When he recalled the magic of fire, young man performed earlier, his hand involuntarily clenched in a thrill. His gaze remains focused as the fire emerged from his mere hand like a super existent being. The scene where the creature slowly burned alive by his magic. The scene of the young girl able to swoop the ash away, only by her breath.

As those scenes getting replayed on Reinn's mind, the clock suddenly emitted a loud sound, indicating midnight has come, which means he has turned eighteen this moment. Chasing his previous thought off, Reinn hastened his cleaning process.

After concluding the living room at least not as messy as before, Reinn walked downstairs to grab water for his own need. While drinking, his eyes fell on his father's study room. If he's not wrong, he already reached the destined age. Thus, he must be allowed to open the safe box, right?

Placing the glass over the table, Reinn made his way to his father's study room and proceeded to enter it. Closing the door, Reinn saunter to his father's desk and looked beneath it where the safebox present.

After collecting his thought, Reinn heaved a sigh before closing one of his eyes and directing the other one to the retina scanner. He didn't know what's the point of making all of these, but his father was so cautious that he even placed a triple-way password.

Finish with the retina-scan. The scanner emitted a "Bip" sound before another scanner uncovered. Pressing his finger upon the next scanner, the same sounds were sounded as another thing appeared. This time, it was a keypad where various numbers were displayed.

Inserting strings of strange numbers of 5, 6, 7, 1, 2, 3, the safebox letting out another "Bip" sounds and opened wholly.

As the insides revealed into Reinn's eyes, his eyes gradually widened because the thing inside the box was...
