Inside where?!

There was no light.

No air.

Nothing.

Atlas was dead.

"Get up." A voice, but whose? "Get up." Now It was louder but...wait a minute. Wasn't he meant to be dead? So why was he hearing-

"For goodness sake, Leo get up!" He felt someone slap him on his upper arm and his eyes snapped open. "What...Who?..." He sat up, baffled. In front of him was a beefy, short, and angry lady glaring at him. "About time Leo!" she screeched. "You need to be up and ready in 10 minutes or you'll be sorry." And with that, she stormed out.

Atlas (or Leo?) stared at the spot where the women had been standing. Where the hell was he? He didn't recognize this room a bit. The floor and walls were all wooden and he hadn't even been resting on a bed. Apparently, he had been sleeping on just some white sheets and with no pillow. Why was he even in some poor person's home? No, how did he end up here? And who the hell was this Leo person? No, it wasn't even that. Why did this name Leo sound so familiar?

He searched through his memories to remember the last thing that happened. Hmm...the last thing that happened...wasn't he with his sister? And then...there was an argument...so, he got angry and...blood.

Wait blood?

No. No. No.

This couldn't be real.

He had killed...his sister.

His own sister.

That was when he felt something metallic at the back of his throat. He spotted a bucket in the corner of the room and sped towards it. Then he vomited.

Atlas had hurt many people in his life. Many and that included his sister. But to kill? No, no, no. Killing was different. He knew that killing and hurting were 2 very different things. He would never kill.

But he already did.

He vomited once more. And again. And again.

It wasn't Denice's fault so why, just why did he hit her? What was he thinking? If only she hadn't just broken the news like that. No. If only she had never broken the news.

Once he was done, he leaned back and took some shaky breaths. Wait...so, once his sister...had gone...what happened to him? Wasn't he strangled? But who-

"LEO HUNTER, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?"

He froze. It was the beefy woman calling from the next room. Ugh, what was her problem? Who the hell did she think she was? But...she did look like she was in a bad mood today, so the least he could do was respect her.

It wasn't like he was scared or anything. Not at all.

He cleared his throat. "I'm coming...er...in a few minutes."

"WELL HURRY UP. WE HAVEN'T GOT ALL DAY," she roared. Well, someone was in a snarky mood.

He turned to go but he spotted something on the floor that wasn't there before. It was a book. A book? He bent down to pick it up and for some strange reason it felt really familiar. It all made sense when he read the title.

The adventure of Dez

Atlas knew this book like the back of his hand. It was the book his grandma read to him when he was about 12 or 13. He loved this book more than anything. As he flipped through the pages, one name caught his eye. Leo Hunter.

Atlas looked at that name with disdain. Growing up, Leo Hunter had been his least favourite extra in the whole novel. Mainly because he was weak, wimpy and also died in the third chapter.

Then his brain froze.

Wait, Leo Hunter?

"LEO HUNTER, WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!" Beefy women had called him Leo Hunter. Was she okay?

No. He was just slow.

"Wait," he gasped. "She called me Leo Hunter and I died so...wait...

I died and got reincarnated as an extra? This extra?!"
