Bank Heist and heroines

"Everyone, a bank robbery alarm call just came in from the SNS central branch, so gear up, we're leaving in five.

Varun, get a team ready and follow us, contact the other station and ask them to be ready to set a perimeter block just in case.

Leo, check if there are any units or patrol cars around the bank. And send them there ASAP to control the crowd and stop any blockade.

Sandra, try to tap into the camera feed for the bank, if you can, see if you can get us a visual and identification on the robbers, who they are, where they are and how many and what weapons they have.

Vasquez, make sure to handle any reporters and angry mob, I don't want this to blow up in our face.

Come on, hurry up, get to work."

As soon as Sophia cut the call, her face turned serious and she started giving out orders one by one, as everyone started rushing up to their work.

"Sharma, let's go." She said and the handsome man standing behind her hurried to follow her.

On the other hand, Ali, who was busy trying to fix a remote control car, which Shashi broke this morning, after she didn't watch and let it go straight through the balcony and falling down to the ground floor, stopped his actions and looked at the ringing phone across the table.

He signaled Emily who was sitting close and told her to check the phone.

"Who is it?" He asked, his mind still focused on trying to remember how he opened the several parts that were scattered in front of him.

"One of the guards, I think." Emily said, seeing the name of Ghost displayed on screen.

"Put it on speaker." Ali said without thinking. And just as it was connected, a distorted voice came from the other side, the same tone and way of speaking that's been common on a lot of AI short videos on the internet.

"I got something juicy for you. You'll be happy." Ali looked at Emily and saw her doubtfully looking at him.

"It's work." He said, as if trying to explain something in case she misunderstood.

Unaware of what's happening at home, the Ghost started speaking again. "There's a bank robbery happening right now. Guess who's leading the team for the police?"

"Sophia?" Ali responded, and took the phone from Emily's hands.

"Yupp. She's on her way there as we speak." Ghost replied.

'Her plotline started already?' Ali thought, already aware that something like a robbery or crime case is police heroine's special go-to route.

"Which bank, send me the address?" He said and stood up, dropping all the small car parts from his lap down on the floor.

"Em, get the car." Ali said to Emily as he started walking towards his room.

"No, why?" Emily questioned, clearly not wanting to let him go somewhere dangerous.

"It's important." That's all he said before ignoring her next question and kept listening to Ghost, who started giving him the details of what was happening at the bank.

"I was just tracking your office girl, who went into that bank with her daughter for something. But just then I got a little ping in my criminal software. An ex-con artist, who's wanted for a few jewelry shop thefts, entered the bank and started shooting wildly.

He has five more partners with him, and they're all carrying guns. That's what I saw before they cut the camera feed completely. Maybe some kind of network jammer or some insider help, I'm not sure yet."

"Hmm, is Natasha okay?" Ali nodded his head after hearing everything and asked, while entering the car.

"She was fine the last time I saw her. I haven't been able to get the signal back again." Ghost said as Ali could hear the sound of fingers tapping on the keyboard.

"Central branch SNS bank. Take the shortcuts." Ali said to Juliet, who was driving the car, while Emily sat in the back with him with a frowning expression. While all the other guards followed in a different car behind them.

'Is he going there for her?' She thought and remembered how he had sent a few guards to keep an eye on a few people.

"What about others? Who else is in the branch? Anyone I know." Ali asked, wondering if some other heroine is in this plot or not. "What about that guy, where is he?" He asked, remembering the hero.

After all, since it's a heist plot with a heroine and possible hostage situation, obviously the hero has to be somewhere around to jump and perform the rescue.

"Not sure about the first question. For second, Kevin is like half a mile from the bank, he's taking a stroll it seems." Ghost said, watching the traffic cam feed on screen through which she could see Kevin walking around leisurely.

Ali thought for sometime and then spoke up "Call him and say his sister had an accident. Send him away from that place. And keep me informed, if you get anything."

"Yeah, but you see my _" Hearing the impatient tone of Ali, who seemed ready to cut the call, Ghost hurriedly spoke and hesitated at the end of her sentence, until she could hear a sigh from the other end and his voice again.

"I'll transfer your money, just do what I told you." Ali said while cutting the call.

'I should just learn hacking skills or something myself when I have enough points.' Ali thought and cursed how greedy this hacker was.

'But with her skills she should be able to make Kevin believe that something did happened to his sister. That should stop him from going to the bank.' Ali said and nodded his head.

But just to be sure, he still called Charlie, who was responsible for trailing Kevin, as he had a hunch that this sudden robbery might also be the result of one of Kevin's wishes.

"He'll be leaving that place in a hurry now. Make sure to follow his trail all the time." After hearing a short report of what the protagonist's been upto, Ali gave the final instructions and planned to cut the call, but suddenly the voice of Echo came from the back stopping him.

"He's going towards the bank, sir."

"What?" Ali screamed in surprise.

"He just got a call some time ago, and then started running in the opposite direction, but he's _ he's coming towards the bank again this time."

'Don't tell me he plans to go to the bank to get some money for hospital bills first.' Ali thought and sighed to himself. But it was already too late to cook up another excuse.

"Run him over." He said.

"What?" Hearing the words of Ali, Charlie asked again in doubt.

"I said run him over. Make sure it looks like an accident, or we'll all be fucked." Ali said coldly and cut the call.

"How's Natasha?" Emily asked, once he was free.

"She's fine. I had 'Hotel' (the female guard) work as her new bodyguard, so she should keep Nat safe for a period." Ali replied and sighed again, wondering if the silly police girl would suddenly blame him for the heist if she saw him there.

'Handling her is gonna be a headache.' Ali thought and started thinking about how to get Nat safely out.

Though he was sure the halo of the heroine would save her life, but he also knew fate always has a habit of throwing tragedy and trauma in the way of its chosen ones in the name of grooming them. He didn't want that to happen to the people around him.
