Chapter 39: The Attack of a God

After quite the mob of people that continued to come back for more food, even after they were obviously full, Soren was then dragged to the side by both Whis and Beerus, as Beerus began making demands.

[Alright… You've got my attention… That food was utterly divine… Come with me to my planet, and cook for me every single day, and in return, I'll leave Earth alone in the future]: beerus

Even though what Beerus said was a threat, it was the nicest thing that could come from his mouth, as all Beerus was raised to know as the God of Destruction, was that he was the King of the Universe, and all should bend to his whims, while only Zeno and the Grand Priest were above him.

[It's nice to know that you enjoyed my food, but I'm not a full time chef, and I will be leaving in a few months to go back to traveling]: soren

Upon hearing Soren decline his offer, Beerus seemed a bit upset, but it's not like he could do anything to Soren, as in his eyes, their strength was about equal to each other, while Whis knew that Soren's attack would have obliterated Beerus, and though he was upset, Beerus thought to make one last offer.

[Then cook a feast for me, one more time, and I will get you whatever you want in return]: beerus

Soren then thought about it, and now that he had given them food that was at the peak of what the Earth could offer, Vegeta and Goku might not get a chance to train with Whis, so he decided to take up Beerus' offer, as he'd rather not find out Goku died because he wasn't strong enough to fight Frieza when he returns.

[Fine… Then please take Vegeta, Goku, and that other Saiyan that was fighting with you, to your planet, and train them to become stronger than the forms they took on earlier… I believe there is more to that form than what you saw]: soren

When Beerus heard Soren's request, he felt that it was a win win situation, as he indeed thought that fighting with those 3 again would be quite fun, so training them and fighting them would be interesting for him, and in return for doing something that he would have already done later on for food that had topped everything he had ever eaten before, was just a steal in his eyes.

[Deal!... No take backsies, now!]: beerus

Soren only sighed, as he then decided to head to Beerus' plant as he had his family wait for his return there on Earth, and after a few hours, Soren came back seeming a bit exhausted, but it was due to the sheer amount of food he cooked for both Beerus and Whis, as it could last them a few months, while Whis kept all the food in his staff's pocket space where the meals would come out still fresh, as time didn't seem to flow in there. After Soren had returned, he was immediately met with both Goku and Vegeta, with Goku seeming awe struck, while Vegeta seemed a bit upset, and upon asking what was wrong, Vegeta spoke first.

[Hey!... What did you do to my wife!... S-She… She has changed]: vegeta

[Yeah!... How did you do it, Soren?... Chi-chi has been bugging me to have you do the same to her as well]: goku

Soren then realized what the problem was, and he began scratching the back of his head while looking over to where Bulma and Chi-chi were, and while Bulma seemed to be flaunting her new looks, Chi-chi seemed to be jealous about this sudden change, as she looked over to the three of them with a glare in her eyes that said she wanted to be younger as well.

[All I did was make her younger, as well as give her the power to protect herself]: soren

[Well I can see that!... But… She seems stronger than even myself, right now]: vegeta

Vegeta seemed to struggle to get those last words out before Soren noticed that Vegeta seemed to be embarrassed that the knowledge of his wife having more power than him was simply unthinkable, while Goku wanted to go and fight with Bulma, only to be stopped by Vegeta, as he didn't want Goku to accidentally hurt his wife.

[Don't worry, guys… All you need to do is go train with Whis and Beerus' Whis will be back in a couple of weeks to pick you guys up, so be prepared to leave by then… Anyway, I'm going to stay here for a while, and then I'll be leaving again]: soren

After saying that, Soren began leaving, but as he walked by the Saiyan known as Negi, he whispered something into his ear.

[Meet me on the outskirts of West City in 6 hours… If you don't show, I'll kill you… Remember, there is no hiding from me]: soren

Upon hearing Soren say this, Negi began to sweat before he began to prepare for anything that may come from the encounter, and like that, Soren was standing on the outskirts of West City while waiting for Negi to show up, and just moments later, Negi appeared high up in the sky, before descending and standing face to face with Soren.

[So tell me… What is your goal of bringing me here?]: negi

Negi tried to put up any kind of facade that he wasn't scared, and in fact, was not worried about Soren in the slightest, but on the inside, Negi was fearing that one slip of the tongue would be the end of his adventures, and at the hands of the man who was the main quest of his reincarnation.

[Oh?... Quite brave of you to speak to a God, like that… Now… What did the God who reincarnated you, tell you about me?]: soren

Upon hearing the question, Negi sucked a cold breath of air before speaking.

[He told me everything… Like how you are a demon with a System created by Satan, and you plan to cause a war with Heaven to overthrow God]: negi

[Oh?... Sounds quite one sided, don't you think?]: soren

[No!... How could it be one sided?... God would never lie!]: negi

[Oh lord… So you are one of those religious fanatics who believe the words of a being with higher power can do nothing but the right thing, and always tells the truth… Then let me tell you a story]: soren

Soren then began to tell him the tragic story about his death, while Negi had listened with a bit of hesitation, as he knew that Demons would spin a web of lies to try and get humans to drop their guards, but the more in depth Soren got with his story, even to the point of taking Negi back to the Earth they both came from, Negi began to understand, as a look of surprised appeared on his face, along with the sense of longing as he saw his previous world once again.

[I see… So you were killed by a God, which also turns out that there are multiple Gods… And in return for your suffering, the God above all other Gods had given you a few wishes, and you chose the path you are currently on, which in turn angered the other Gods, and now they want your life, but can't act themselves for a little under 10 thousand years]: negi

[You summed it up quite easily… Now, what do you wish to do with this new information?]: soren

[Well it should be quite obvious… I'm not a bad guy, and neither are you, so we should work together to get back at that God who tricked me, and make sure that your life is no longer in danger]: negi

Hearing Negi's words made Soren chuckle, while he began patting Negi on the back, as even with his age, Negi was still childish, but before they could decide to be friends, something strange began to happen within Negi.

[AaaagggGhhhh!... S-Something's happening!... M-My S-System is… RRRRRAAAAAAHHHHHHGGGGG!!!]: negi

Soren quickly took some space from Negi, as he watched Negi's eyes go pure white, before turning completely black, as if possessed by something, and then Negi's power began to spike as his hair turned red, and a fiery orange aura burst out from his body, before it began turning a crimson red while black mist began to emanate from Negi's body, and his hair began turning a darker red color, while Negi began bearing his teeth at Soren, and spoke with a cold yet dark and possessive voice.

[You think you can turn my emissary against me?... Just because this Mortal hasn't been increasing his strength lately, doesn't mean I don't have counter measures against you… Now you will be fighting with the System I created… Hahahaha! Die, you bastard of a half brother!]: possessed negi

The voice of Negi disappeared as the sound of a robotic tone then took over, as it's dead and mechanically toned voice had taken over.

[Initiating DSAM (Defence System Autopilot Mode)... Unlocking all previously locked functions… System Points maxed… Purchasing all needed abilities to fight for the life of this vessel… Termination of target is now in progress]: negi's system

Soren then watched as a pitch black aura began surrounding Negi's body, as his red hair began to sway due to the pressure, while black electrical currents were emanating from his body, and then Negi charged at him with full speed, letting Soren just barley catch a glimpse of him, before Soren brought up his arm to block the incoming attack, only to be sent flying through the open field of West City, and out towards the woods.

'What the fuck!... What kind of moves did his System unlock for him?': soren

Soren got up and looked at his arms, only to see a growing bruise, as his arm began to swell up a bit, but as Soren began circulating his profound energy through his body, the bruise began to disappear as Soren felt re-energised. Soren then noticed that Negi came towards him once again with his fist covered in what appeared to be a corrosive and destructive force, before Soren covered his arms in Haki, and sent a punch that collide with Negi's and created a shock wave that created a gigantic crater, before Soren grabbed Negi by his wrist with his free hand, and quickly took Negi through a portal, and appeared on a deserted wasteland of a planet with no life signals, as they continued their fight there.

[I know you don't care about what kind of damage is done to the surrounding planets, so I brought us here, that way, if we destroy the planet, it won't be troublesome bringing it back to life]: soren

Soren watched as Negi didn't respond, and only stared at Soren with is cold black eyes that could only belong to a machine, and seeing that Soren had yet to release it's wrist, Negi released an explosion of destruction law that began deteriorating the planet around them, as well as nearby planets, but like the one they were currently on, those planets also housed no life, so it was okay.

'Our Universal Mortal Level might drop from this… *Sigh* It's something that would inevitably happen, I guess': soren

Soren then began trading blows with Negi, as Soren felt that Negi kept getting stronger and stronger, making Soren hate the Saiyan's genetical structure of getting stronger as they fight with the Zenkai Boost, as Soren continued to feel like he was getting weaker and weaker, but then he remembered that he still wasn't using all of his powers, as Soren then pulled out his Zanpakuto, and slashed Negi's arm off, making him scream in a high pitched voice.

[REEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!]: negi

[Haha!... Didn't expect that, did you!... Now how are you going to fight with such a hand-icap… Hehehe]: soren

Soren made a slight joke, while holding the arm of Negi, as he waved it in the air, before eventually turning it to dust, but soon he regretted his words, as he watched Negi regrow the arm from nothing, just like Piccolo did when he lost his arm.

'Me and my fuckin mouth… I jinxed it!': soren

Soren felt that this would be a longer battle than he expected, but soon felt as if something was calling him, and upon looking around to see nothing but himself and Negi, he turned his attention back to Negi as the fighting continued, but it seemed that Negi had weakened for some reason, and as the fight progressed, Negi had to regenerate quite the few limbs, and it seemed each time he regenerated, his strength would get weaker, only to get stronger as he fought on.

'Strange… Is it consuming his power to regenerate those limbs?... It seems like this is true… So then I just need to continue hacking away at his body': soren

Soren then continued to slice and dice while Negi would scream in pain before attacking Soren, and the entire time, Soren felt like he was being called, but didn't know where it was from.

[REEEEEEEEEEE!]: negi

As the battle seemed to be coming to a close, Negi gave another high pitched screech, before his hair changed once again, and became green with a black hue, as the energy around Negi's body began to skyrocket once again, only for Soren to be sent flying, while Negi chased after him and began pummeling him into the ground, as the planet continued to wither away, before one final punch made the planet explode as both Soren and Negi were sent flying towards a nearby deserted planet, as Negi continued beating Soren.

[Soren… Soren... Soren...….. Soren!]: ????

[What!... Who the hell is calling out to me!... How the hell are you calling out to me!... Can't you see I'm getting my ass kicked?]: soren

As Soren shouted in anger, he felt his Zanpakuto was vibrating in fury, before Soren was brought into his mind scape forcefully, while his body was still being beaten on the outside, and when Soren appeared, he noticed that the Universe on the inside of his mind seemed to be deteriorating.

[Can you not hear me calling you?... Why have you not called out my name, yet?... You will die if you don't call out my name]: z. soren

[I still can't even hear your name… How can I call out to you?]: soren

[... *Sigh*... Then listen closely this time… My name is…]: z. soren

Back with Soren's body, he seemed to be unconscious as Negi continued raining punches all over Soren's body, while being covered in the blood splatter, and in the next second, Soren's eyes shot open as his grip tightened onto his Zanpakuto, as a single sentence escaped his lips

[Crush the Heavens, and make the Gods dread my existence, Deimos!... Slice my opponent with 10 million swords]: soren (A/N: Deimos is a deity born between Ares and Aphrodite, and is the embodiment of terror and dread)
