Prologue

A young boy's voice could be heard, screaming out in pain. Then sounds of whips could be heard after each scream making the boys screams of pain to go higher. His mother stood by the door, banging and knocking hard. She was begging and crying.

"Don't hurt my son. Please, don't hurt him. He is just a boy, please," the boy's mother begged, but the beatings increased.

Inside the room, a young boy of about 11 years old can be seen dangling up. His hands have been held up in chains. He is half naked, his shirt had been ripped off his body. The only clothing on him is his trousers which hangs loosely on his skin body. Fresh wounds can be found on his back and blood keeps dropping out of them.

His head is lowered down and his eyes are closed. His breathing seems to be very uneven. He looked calm even though he was in pain. There were also dried tears on his face.

A man stood in front of him. He had a whip in his hand, which was folded up in two. He had his arms crossed, as he stood in front of the boy and inspected his face. He wore a pair of black leather gloves on his hands, and had an angry look on his face.

"I told you to always practice on your tone and the piano before I get here. But what did you do? You decided to disobey me and go play with those rascals who have nothing better to do with their lives. This will show you never to disrespect my orders again," the man spat out and left the room in anger, with the whip in his hand.

The boy's mother who had collapsed on the floor, outside the door, quickly got up when she heard the door being opened. She stood up straight, got any dirt off her dress and ran her hands in her hair in the bid to make it look good.

The man came out with a huff and brushed past her without saying a word. The woman then rushed inside. What she saw broke her heart. She ran to her son and held him while she cried those bitter tears.

"Someday all of these will end, my son. We will get through this, I promise," she cried as she held the unconscious boy in her arms.
