Wrecked Cars

"Welcome to The Copart Warehouse Limited!" a friendly voice greeted him. "The leading automobile parts provider in the whole of the Black Nations. We also specialize in modifying and customizing body fittings for your car at subsidized costs. We can be your sure plug!"

J. Cole's curiosity was piqued, and he couldn't help but feel that this was the right place to begin his mission. He approached the counter, where a well-dressed representative stood ready to assist him.

"In return," the representative continued, "we'll provide value-added services worth every dime."

J. Cole couldn't help but be impressed by the ad presenter's performance. Almost instinctively, he wanted to applaud at the end of her speech.

"That was a nice ad," he commented, a subtle nod of approval accompanying his words. "They should increase your pay for all the valuable info."

"Thank you, sir," the ad presenter replied with a hint of pride in her voice. "What services can I help you with?"

J. Cole, momentarily caught off guard, regathered his thoughts. "Oh, uhmm... Where can I locate the receptionist?" he inquired.

The puzzled expression on her face transformed into a look of realization. "Well, you are interacting with her already," she replied, her eyes twinkling with amusement.

"My bad," J. Cole admitted candidly. "I thought you were a sales agent."

With a smile that didn't waver, she responded, "Well, you're also interacting with one currently."

An awkward silence settled in as they faced each other, two strangers in an unexpected exchange of roles.

Breaking the silence, J. Cole gave a slight cough. "Ahem... I want to purchase a car, a wrecked car, by the way."

The receptionist's smile turned into a furrowed brow. "Pardon? We only sell parts, sir," she explained.

J. Cole leaned forward, his gaze unwavering. "I understand that you sell parts of wrecked cars, right?" He earned a nod of affirmation from the receptionist. "So, I want to buy the whole package instead of the pieces. Do you understand now?"

The receptionist, who had also been the ad presenter, admitted, "I do, sir. Your request is beyond me. Kindly wait a moment while I call the manager." She swiftly made her way to the manager's office.

Moments later, a middle-aged man with a sizable potbelly emerged from the office and approached J. Cole. He extended his hand with a warm smile.

"Good day, sir," he greeted. "I'm Seyi, the manager of this prestigious company. I was informed about your peculiar choice. Well, we normally auction out our 'unique' wrecked cars, but in the spirit of business, I'm willing to make an exception. Kindly follow me."

J. Cole shook Seyi's hand with gratitude and a touch of anticipation.

Their conversation flowed as they ventured deeper into the warehouse, where the echoes of engines past reverberated. Seyi, the manager, spoke with a sense of admiration.

"I must say, you're in luck, sir," Seyi remarked, a glint of excitement in his eyes. "We just recently acquired two remarkable automobiles, an Armoured Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG and a Mercedes-AMG GT 4 Door Coupe."

J. Cole was spellbound by the presence of these prestigious vehicles. Each one bore a unique history, even in their wounded state. He listened with keen interest as Seyi shared more about them.

"The GT Coupe had its bonnet completely smashed," Seyi explained, "while the armoured G-Wagon was rumored to have saved the life of a renowned business tycoon in the Black Nation. I'll be frank with you, the repair cost for the armoured G-Wagon is close to the equivalent of a new one, so I'll advise against it for anyone."

J. Cole, always attentive, continued to admire the two new acquisitions. The potential they held, even in their damaged state, was undeniable.

"Hey, manager," J. Cole called out with resolute determination, "settle the proceedings because I'll be taking these two beasts off your hands."

Seyi, shaking his head in a somewhat amused manner, "As reckless as a Teenager" replied, "Sir, you might have dozed off during our talk. The cost for the repairs for that G-Wagon is as good as getting a lesser modeled G-Wagon."

Undeterred, J. Cole responded, "Thanks for your concern, Manager Seyi, but I'm good. Get me the paperwork and billings attached."

With an air of indifference, J. Cole casually pulled out his cutting-edge iPhone 14, creating the illusion of urgency, though in reality, his actions were a facade. Deep down, he was grappling with a sense of embarrassment, aware of the way Seyi, the manager, had scrutinized him, almost as if he were a fool. After all, who in their right senses would willingly invest a substantial fortune in resurrecting a car that appeared beyond repair? How could he possibly explain that this peculiar mission was assigned by a mysterious system, a quest not easily comprehensible to the outside world? In a society where mental health often went undiscussed, he hesitated to disclose that he was perfectly sane and driven by a unique purpose.

J. Cole eventually resigned himself to bearing the judgmental looks and skepticism emanating from the manager, "you can judge me all you want but it wouldn't add a single penny to my account"..

In the bustling warehouse, the manager, Seyi, allowed his thoughts to wander as he contemplated the substantial price tag attached to this audacious endeavor. The burden of his uncertainties weighed upon him, and an unsettling thought crossed his mind, "Perhaps his father disapproves." He chuckled wryly, musing on the folly of youth – their penchant for squandering inherited wealth.

"He's likely doing this to impress someone else," Manager Seyi sighed. "Tough," he thought, resigned to the situation. Although the allure of accessing J. Cole's resources was tempting, Seyi recognized the need for a reality check for the young man. Behind an inscrutable mask of indifference, he concealed his disappointment.

However, in the span of a mere moment, Seyi's world was spun around like a turbulent tempest. J. Cole's aura of confidence and unwavering determination was so overwhelming that it was as if the entire plan had been upended, leaving Seyi in awe and a frown on his face.

Without hesitation, J. Cole made a resolute declaration, "You know what! Don't tell me the cost. Just take my card and swipe away."
