An agonizing shriek pierced the air as the gang leader sprawled on the cold floor, blood and fractured teeth fragments escaping his mouth. Jcole stood tall, an imposing figure, as he towered over the fallen adversary.
"A pathetic man! Bringing a gun to a fist fight, you deserve death and more," Jcole muttered with a cool and mysterious demeanor. A hint of disdain laced his words.
"Haha... You've already disarmed me, boy, but you can't take away my plan C." Ruggedman chuckled, revealing a wooden carved image with markings and dried blood. The unexpected twist hung in the air, leaving jcole stunned on the spot.
In the ominous aftermath, Jcole failed to grasp that Ruggedman wasn't an ordinary foe. The realization hit him like a sudden storm, but time had run out, leaving no room for evasion.

Right before J Cole's eyes, Ruggedman the leader of the gang pulled out a wooden carved idol, kissed it and pointed the item at Jcole.. Jcole suddenly felt constrained and right before his eyes fire poured out from the item and covered Jcole.
Jcole, who had already assumed the worst, was stunned as a brilliant blue barrier materialized, thwarting the scorching flames..
[Retraction initiated]
The raging fire was abruptly drawn into the barrier, and within 10 minutes the flames vanished without a trace of its fiery presence. However, what truly stunned Jcole was the sudden disappearance of Ruggedman from sight.
"What?" The exclamation hung in the air, mirroring Jcole's bewildered disbelief at the unexpected turn of events.
Yo cipher j cole swiftly instructed, "Playback the recording on the spy cam." His earlier decision to discreetly ask Cipher to deploy a spying cam before the fight proved to be a strategic move.
[Affirmative]
A hologram screen materialized before Jcole, and as he watched, a slight chill traced his spine. On the screen, Ruggedman swiftly chanted an incantation, sprinkling his blood on another carved image he just pulled out. He then touched each of his men and himself with the idol, accompanied by a short incantation. The shocker of the day unfolded as they faded into thin air, disappearing with words like "varmused" and "otilo."
Jcole stood in silence for minutes, absorbing the surreal scene before posing a critical question on his part.
Jcole queried, "Cipher, when will I eventually have powers to vanish and command lightning and fire?"
[Negative]
"Huh? Like never?"
[Affirmative]
Jcole hissed "I think I might need a new system"..
Since childhood, he could only recount one person possessing the power to vanish into thin air during precarious situations—his adoptive mother, Queen Mother Bola.
"So how was he able to vanish before me? Is he part of the Queen Mother's fraternity?" Jcole pondered.
"But that would require an exchange with his soul for power and other bizarre requirements, and that was the exact reason why Jcole left his adoptive mother in the first place."
....
In another corner of Lagidi, a man in his late twenties raced through the lobby, his footsteps echoing off the walls. "Could he really be the one?" A thought, electric and hopeful, flickered in his mind. He struggled to contain the burgeoning smile that threatened to reveal the anticipation within.
Approaching a door leading to a vast, foreboding dining space, Mouse encountered two guards who had been engrossed in conversation moments before. "Mouse, is there a problem?" Concern etched on one guard's face, his voice laced with an undertone of dread.
"Is the queen mother available? It's urgent," Mouse replied, his agitation sending ripples of unease through the guards. The urgency in his words carried an ominous weight, a plea for swift action and a promise of impending darkness. He needed to deliver his message swiftly, knowing that the mere whisper of it could set sinister plans into motion.
The guards exchanged wary glances, sizing up the young man before them. Mouse, a cryptic figure shrouded in the underworld's secrets, held a commanding position within their fraternity — second in command to the Intelligence Department, which serves as the eyes and ears for the family. Yet, even he required permission to disturb the queen mother, a sovereign of sinister arts. Sensing Mouse's urgency, one guard discreetly tapped his ear, issuing swift instructions through a concealed mic. Within moments, Mouse was granted passage, the door to a private sector cut out specifically for the queen mother creaked open.
Navigating through the open space, Mouse entered a room dominated by a grand dining table. Seated at its head was a middle-aged woman, an embodiment of dark majesty. To the casual observer, she might seem poised, but those privy to her true nature recognized her as a queen with the authority of a king, a woman with a wide web of networks. But the aspect that stood out the most is her involvement in the realm of a deep, diabolical sorcery.
And there she sat in the position as a king in the fraternity, cloaked in a white gown that seemed to absorb the ambient shadows, her black braids adorned with cowries whispered secrets of ancient curses. Eyes closed, she savored each bite with a macabre elegance, her movements exuding quiet confidence, addoned on her neck was a blood-red necklace and on her wrist was thesame blood-red bracelets that seemed to pulse with an otherworldly energy.
Mouse stood with tense patience, awaiting the conclusion of her ritualistic meal. As she turned to him, her black eyes, veiled in untold mysteries, locked onto his gaze. A nod signaled for him to proceed, a silent acknowledgement of the gravity of his impending revelation.
Bowing with a mix of trepidation and excitement, Mouse cleared his throat before he delivered the news. "Queen Mother, I believe we have finally found him and it turned out the previous report was false, He was never beaten to death as the report had said but alive and kicking in this very town.
Silence reigned...
The air thickened with a blend of anticipation and foreboding as the pieces of a malevolent puzzle began to fall into place.
