The night was deep.
As the earliest established district of Dawn City, the streets of Crown District were neatly arranged in a standard chessboard pattern conforming to north-south and east-west orientations.
The east-west oriented ones were called 'Streets,' and the north-south oriented ones were called 'Avenues.'
Then, each street was named in the order it was built.
For example, the No. 37 Street He Ao was headed to was located right after No. 36 Street.
Of course, some streets might not be strictly arranged according to the cardinal directions due to certain incidents during construction, but overall, the streets of the Crown District presented a grid-like arrangement.
These crisscrossing streets divided the Crown District into numerous 'small cells.'
One or several of these cells together formed a larger area, which was then referred to as a neighborhood.
