The spear suddenly shot up from the ground and moved towards the man, perfectly landing on his hand.
"What?"
Reyan raised his sword and took one step back, standing in front of Kairen. Team leader Dains raised his other gone and pointed both of them at the man, and Kairen started to move his mana.
But not caring about the three people preparing for battle, the man playfully shook the spear in his hand.
"Wouldn't it be better to just cut off the roots of all this problem? That would be the fastest and easiest way... Hmm?"
He raised his head and looked at the mage standing behind everyone.
"A spell can't work without its caster... Can it?"

Kairen felt shivers run down his spine. He hurriedly cast layers of shield around the four of them.
"Are you serious? You want to fight us in such a place?"
