Moreover, he even tossed the Goblinbone Dagger in his hands to the Goblin Soldier.

According to the information he had about the Goblinbone Totem, the summoned Goblin Soldier will have the same strength as him.

With his strength and if the Goblinbone Dagger was combined, the Goblin Soldier might be able to kill more Lunar Serpents.

Just as Aeon reached halfway to the Lunar Serpents, they used their [Poison Splash] skill at Aeon who was in the front.

Aeon didn't dodge them; instead, he received them head-on with the hopes of being protected by the [Pendant of Protection].

However, the barrier from the [Pendant of Protection] was not activated and the poison was splashed on his body from multiple Lunar Serpents.

'Damn it…why did the Pendant of Protection not stop it?'

Aeon cursed the Pendant of Protection for a moment; however, he realized he was hasty in cursing it.

Despite having poison all over his body, Aeon didn't feel any kind of negative effects and he knew the reason why.

'It was because of the Venom Warding Potion that the Pendant of Protection didn't sense any danger from the poison?'

Even though he gulped down the Venom Warding Potion, Aeon didn't want to intentionally get splashed by the poison because when enough poison falls on his body, the potion might not protect him from being poisoned.

Therefore, he wanted to use the Pendant of Protection's four uses before reaching the Lunar Serpents. Once he reached them, Aeon believed that he could kill them before they could release more poison at him.

Amidst the fight, the Grimoire of Life and Death flew to him with some lines of text in the [Communication Page]; however, Aeon was fully focused on his attack.

So, he didn't see those words.

With the long black blade in his hand, Aeon slashed it at the two Lunar Serpents that lunged at him.

The Lunar Serpents had already spit poison on its target and expected him to take a few steps back. 

Hence, when Aeon came forward and even slashed his blade at it, the Lunar Serpents didn't have a chance to do anything in mid-air and were cut into two pieces each by Aeon.

Cutting the Lunar Serpents into halves had killed them; however, their blood was entirely splashed on Aeon.

Since this is an important update for Aeon, the Grimoire of Life and Death hurriedly flew to Aeon and showed him.

Unlike before, Aeon didn't ignore and took a quick look at the [Communication Page] and raised his brows.

'Poison Index? Receiving four Poison Splashes increased my poison index to 20 and drenching in the Lunar Serpent's Blood increased another 10 points.'

Aeon only read it for a couple of seconds and raised his brows.

'It looks like I have to avoid receiving poison splashes and stop getting drenched in the Lunar Serpent's Blood.'

Soon, Aeon decided to keep an eye on his poison index while fighting the Lunar Serpents.

'Even though the Lunar Serpents' blood is poisonous, it is glowing under the moonlight, which I can use to my advantage.'

Since it was night and he was in a forest, Aeon had very little vision and it was also because of the moonlight.

He could not see the shades even if he was close; however, seeing the Lunar Serpents' blood on him, Aeon got an idea and it was to make use of the blood to increase his vision.

All the fights in the wilderness depend on how quickly you adapt to your surroundings in the middle of the fight and Aeon was also doing the same.

On the side, the Summoned Goblin Soldier also successfully killed a Lunar Serpent and rushed to Aeon before standing closely with his back facing Aeon.

In Aeon's team, it was not just Aeon and the Summoned Goblin Soldier but there was a third member and it was none other than the Grimoire of Life and Death.

Since Aeon had already given it full access to consuming the corpses killed by him, it excitedly swallowed the three Lunar Serpent Corpses in a single go. Two by Aeon and one by the Summoned Goblin Soldier.

While consuming the corpse, the Grimoire of Life and Death updated the trial process which Aeon didn't check.

Instead, he was waiting for the effects his second blessing, [The Devouring Effect] would trigger.

However, the Lunar Serpents didn't give Aeon any leisure time to check the Grimoire of Life and Death. 

More and more Lunar Serpents appeared and compared to the three he killed, these looked more angry as they directly spit poison at him.

However, Aeon was careful in dodging three out of five poison spits from the five Lunar Serpents and hacked the five of them into equal pieces.

Aeon tried his best to avoid the drops of blood from the five Lunar Serpents; however, the blood from two corpses still fell onto him.

Nevertheless, thanks to the blood from the remaining three Lunar Serpents, Aeon's vision has increased from five meters to twenty meters.

'One two three…ten…twenty…hundred…damn it…exactly how many Lunar Serpents are surrounding me?'

However, his excitement from increasing his vision range disappeared when he saw that he was surrounded by a den of Lunar Serpents.
