"Wait, why are you telling me now I am inside the most powerful Avari in the world?! Are you telling me that the picture think I am the sidekick of that big oof?! That is humiliating even if it is kind of true! Where is that big oof?! I would like to have a talk with him!" ... "Achoo! " "Bless you," "That is weird, why did I sneeze suddenly?" Taking the First Commissions

"Ow, ow, ow," Kell exclaimed, his cheek being brutally pinched by Ian, who had a smile. Unfortunately for the former jock, his smile did not mean he is happy.

"You said you would check the system with me last night," Ian said, smiling as he kept on pulling the other boy's cheek.

"Iam sworrry," the former jock managed to say, prompting the genius to release his best friend's cheek.

"Don't do that again," Ian told the bigger boy, the latter nodding subserviently.

"I will tell you during breakfast. For now, let's take a bath," he said to Kell, who looked at him in shock.

"Dude, I don't think you want to take a bath, now," Kell carefully said, his finger pointing in a certain direction.

Ian turned his head towards the direction only to freeze, seeing a scene that would have scarred his mind. A group of people, bare as the day they are born, walking somewhere, presumably the bath.

 "Yeah, let's just talk now,"

"I see," Kell replied, opening his own system. Considering the fact they could see each other system, it is likely an intentional design.

"Most of my skills are about weapons and offensive in manners, along with some buffing and protection, but from the looks of it, it would not be as good as yours," Kell told him, showing his system to Ian.

"Make sense. You are the protagonist and will need to be able to hold the line. If you died because you did not have protection, then it would be a bad system.

The protagonist is also the one that will deal the killing blow so no wonder most of the skills are offensive in manners.

Then your talent. The ability to master weapons, along with locked talents regarding every weapon seemed a bit broken, then again, we were probably supposed to be cheat characters," Ian said out loud. Thankfully, the hall was vacant, most of the people had left the building, likely doing odd jobs or adventurers like them.

"Yours about support along with abilities to cast spells in all three Types. So you can technically be an offense character as well," Kell gave his two cents.

"Maybe but from the look of things, it will not mash well with my talents,"

"True, so you might work better as a support. Then again, support is a broad term," Kell reminded him.

"Yeah, let us go to the Guild building first, I think we need to get a commission before we can get the Daily Quests,"

-x-

"Are you going to take your first commission?" the receptionist yesterday asked.

"Yes, so, how do we choose a commission?" Ian asked in return, not wanting to look stupid for no reason.

"It depends on the rank of the Commission. Like the Adventure Rank, it goes from E to SSS. Considering you just registered, you can only take E-Rank Commissions.

The E-Rank Commissions can be divided into low, medium, and high-tier Commissions. The higher the tier, the greater the difficulties and rewards.

Low-tier E-Rank usually gathers missions, simply stuff like collecting herbs and mushrooms with special properties. Medium tiers are hunting, as in hunting animals and beasts. As for the high tier, that is usually subjugations, targeting in killing monsters.

Monsters are like animals and beasts to a certain instance. The difference is most of them are formed from excessive mana, hence the reason why monsters have magic cores in their bodies.

Monsters are aggressive and most weaker ones will be guided by their instinct and will try to kill people, no matter the race. So, you need to be careful. Hence why most new adventurers don't really take subjugation missions until they have more experience," the receptionist explained.

"We can take multiple commissions, right?" Ian tried to confirm. He had read that it can be done but it usually depends on the branch itself.

"Yes, but only for E-Rank or if the commissions are close to each other," the receptionist confirmed for him.

"Understood. We going to take a look before we pick the commissions first," Ian told the man, both he and Kell speed walked to the commission board.

After five minutes, they returned to the counter. "So, what commissions do you take?" the man asked.

"We take gathering 10 stalks of Light Grass, hunting 5 Horned Rabbit, and subjugating a pod of Slime at the Thrine Forest," Ian told the receptionist.

"Three missions? And one high-tier E-Rank as well?!" the man almost shouted from how shocked he was.

"We have some experience in killing Slimes before. They attacked us in our journey but Kell took care of it," Ian pointed at the former jock, who gave the man a toothy grin.

"Alright then. For the first two, it is easy to determine how many you got, but for the last one, you need to grab their magic cores. The magic cores are the reason why we even hunt monsters, aside from the fact they will attack us if given the opportunity.

Because these are daily missions, the time limit is usually until the next day, except for the last one. You have three days for the last one," the receptionist informed them.

The two best friends nodded, before leaving the building.

-x-

"Why are we going to the library?" Kell asked Ian, who seemed eager to visit the place.

"Because we don't know what Light Grass or Horned Rabbit look like. Well, for the latter, we don't know where they live, so we need to learn about those subjects, along with the history of the town if we have the time," Ian replied, the bigger boy nodding, understanding the reason for their detours.

"And because you want to visit the library," Kell said in a sing-song voice.

"Silent your oaf," the blush on his face told the former jock everything he wanted to know.

-x-

Thankfully, the sections were properly arranged, so they did not have to scour the entire library to find the correct book.

They took the Flore and Fauna in Thrine Forest, along with the History of Thrine City. Ian quickly read the first book while Kell read the second one.

However, with a time limit, Ian merely looked for the things they were getting.

"Light Grass. A grass with a fruit that emitted light in it. To harvest the fruit, the entire stalk of Light Grass must be harvested or the fruit will be damaged.

"Horned Rabbit. A rabbit beast that has a horn growing on its forehead. More aggressive than a regular rabbit but still a herbivore. Will attack to deter predators. Usually found in the grassland and the eastern side of Thrine Forest.

Looks like that all we need to know for now. Kell, let's go," when he did not receive a reply, he turned to see the bigger boy already sleeping.

A tick mark formed on Ian's forehead, "This oaf,"
