The Truth and The Lie

The young girl gazed up at the dark figure, sky blue eyes glimmering, pale white skin shining. She wore an alluring white dress, sparkling in the morning sun. Her glamorous silver hair flowing down onto the ground and across her face like a calm river. An albino blue jay rests peacefully on the young girl's lap, not a single feather moving. Caressing the bird, the girl asks the dark figure;

"Why am I loved? Yet you, hated?"

The unmoving dark figure looked down upon the girl, then levelled his eyes. His dark red eyes were dull, his jagged bones were showing through his decaying black robe. The hood covering his head blended in with the moonless night sky. The figure took a step away from the girl, with the robe dragging across the soil painfully. In a deep, rough and slow voice, he replied;

"Because you are a bewitching lie, and I, am the abominable truth."
