"I need you to pay attention, Rae Jin. What do you think of when you see me? Tell me everything." My irritating friend put a palm to her chest and shouted dramatically.

"Fine, alright, uh... pumpkin?" I'm not sure how to respond.

"Holy crap. Is it true that I'm so overweight?" She gives me a frightened look.

"No. The reason is the color." There is nothing there except nothingness as my eyes wander.

"Coral, it's the colour!" She yelled at me as she explained her correction.

The question, "What the heck is that?" For what it's worth, I inquire.

The noun "a color." She responds with a grin on her face as she looks at herself to wear to the party. To what end does one adore oneself so much? I am currently evaluating the outfit my "old" acquaintance has chosen to wear to the party.

I, however, am not eager to go. It's pointless and a waste of effort, and I guarantee it would be reeking of alcohol. Sheesh! Also, the time is currently 5 am, really should be in bed, sound asleep. Then this alien interrupted me, and magically popped from nowhere.

"Is there any way I will be able to avoid going to this party?" I ask as I pull out my phone to see if there are any new messages in our work group chat, because, hey, they do exist.

"That's a must! It's hard to take your eyes off your gorgeous face. I'll introduce you to a guy until one of them shows interest in dating you." When she saw my expression of fright, she said with a mischievous grin.

"No!" My face is scrunched up into a large frown as yell. "This is the guy from high school's last fall semester class, and he has some surprises for us. I've already informed him you're interested in meeting up with him." She smiled and said as she flipped around. My mouth drops open in shock.

"Yes....and he also has amazing abs!!!" The entire time she's explaining it to me, she can't contain her laughter.

"Oh boy! Get out of here! You ruined my valuable bed time, and now I have to get up and head to work. Awesome." I yelled.

"All right, but I'll give you a call when it's time!" She gives me a broad smile as she leaves my house and slaps my shoulder on the way out, saying, "Fine, bye." She waves goodbye and walks away as I respond, frowning at her.

Already, I'm spending time on this, and now she thinks she's Cupid? There is a limit to my patience! I do, however, owe her a significant favour. At least for the time being, I have to listen to her. It was only a get-together with one guy. Right? I've overcome many greater problems than this in my life, so this is nothing.

Okay, but what if he truly likes me and wants to go on a date? The worst case scenario is that he remembers the high school version of me. Loooove? Yuck.

I need to head to my workplace, I stick my tongue out while getting dressed. It's time for me to get dressed, so I'll be calling a cab in a little. Now I must get to work to begin a whole new day. Of course, I don't want any more random people to come up to me and inquire about my nonexistent romantic life.

...

Ring. Ring. Ring.

"Hello?" As I took up the phone, I questioned.

"Yes. Pardon me, but may I speak with you, Miss...?" Somebody's voice enquired.

"Identify yourself. Yes, this was your call that got me here." With a scowl on my face, I give my reply.

"Um, miss, this is the man from tomorrow...5,000 won?" A question was heard.

"Aaah. How do I address you?" The question came from me.

Cries of "Jungkook, Jeon Jungkook!" This is what the man said.

"All right, my name is Rae Jin. How about we see each now? Come see me right now. At the moment, I can afford some time. I hope that's acceptable to you." As I arrange my documents, I inquire.

"Yes. Perfect." His voice broke in surprise.

"Please meet me in front of the City Business Organization. Get it?" I inform.

"Yes! I'm currently leaving." He then hangs up the phone after saying that...

...

I am at the entrance of my workplace right now. I keep glancing at my watch every so often. If you ask me why I'm buying this, I can't give you a good reason.

No, I doubt that I will ever use it. But I'm only doing it for him. No. To put it plainly, he has a sibling. Right. Then I caught sight of him, and he also did as well as me.

He gave a distant bunny-like grin with a wave. Uh oh, he's dressed casually. He dressed up in a suit the day before. The best word to describe him would be "cool." His lip piercing stands out against his white striped t-shirt and blue denim shorts. Oh.

"It's pleasant to meet you, Rae Jin." While I gazed at him, he recalls, he slowly walked up to me.

"Hello?" Another one of his questions.

"Yes!" As I slowly came to my surroundings, I let out an exclamation.

"I'm confused; did you just address me by my first name?" The question came from me.

"Um...nope. I said 'miss', you must have misheard." He smiled slyly and shrugged.

"Alright, here's your five thousand won and...the machine?" The question came from me.

"Oh absolutely. The device. Want to take a stroll to my car where it will be?" A question was posed by him.

"...Fine." Kinda with you on that one. He asks, "So...how old are you?" When we were walking to his car, he posed the question.

The number I give him is 23. "Oh, you're younger than I am. Since I am 24 years old, I can get away with being called "Oppa?" A chuckle escaped him as he spoke.

"Oh. Um..." Well, what the heck! O-Oppa? No. I responded nervously, "Uh...yes." Now that I recognized we were near his car, I could finally breathe easy.

He unlocked the back of his car and took out the device.

"So guess that's it then... goodbye lovely woman." He added drama with his statement. Yes, I mumbled. While feeling a pink blush crawl on my cheeks.

Suddenly then someone yelled as I was about to give him the 5,000 won.

"Jungkook! What a spoiled little fruit you are! Put that faulty gadget back where you got it and refund my money." A man shouted as he held the malfunctioning machine.

Then saw that he was holding the exact same device that I was about to get.

"What?" The question came from me.

"Um...ignore him he is mad." Jungkook said, visibly shaking with anxiety. I refocused my attention on the man before turning to Jungkook.

I noticed him gesturing for the other person to exit the place. What's going on? In the middle of my question, the man behind us sprinted out to meet us, metal baseball bat in hand. To which I said.

"Oh, my gosh." When he said his sibling wasn't III, I realized he was lying. "You lied to me!" My approach to him was direct. It was an awkward "Um...yes" on his part, but he finally gave in.

"What?!" Once again, I raised my voice. The guy was right next to us.

"Sh*t!" Jungkook stared at the man in shock before getting into his car. "Wow. You must be in partnership with that criminal, right?"

As he got near, the guy started shouting "No!" And my response was a straight no. "Liar!" He argued against it. "No!!!" It has caused me to scream in shock.

"Get in! Or he'll never leave you alone!!! While sitting behind the wheel, Jungkook yelled at me while staring at me. "Quiet down! I don't understand why I should hurry. This is my work space! Yes, I am completely blameless-."

Since he cut me when he dragged me into the passenger seat and shut the door, I had to get back to work.

"Jungkook! You scumbag! Revealing yourself is the very first beginning."

The man slammed on the glass and yelled at the same time. When I was to the point of tears, quickly, he started the engine and drove away, but not before rolling down his window and shouting something at the man.

"Sorry! In other words, you won't be getting your money back." He yelled out, with a sly grin on his face. Eventually, when we were out of sight, I said something.

"Oh my goodness! You almost made me look like an idiot, then you touched me without asking and dragged me into your car. And now I'm a long distance from the workplace and I really need to get back there before they fire me, you lying idiot!!" I unleashed an angry roar at him.

"It was because of your trust in me. You owe me a debt of gratitude since I rescued you from that creep."

His response was argumentative. "Uh, pardon? You didn't come to my rescue. I would never have gotten into this mess if it was not for you. Right, back to work I go! That's completely unfair, I am going to lose time because my work is so valuable."

In another fit of rage, I screamed and retreated into my seat. "Just get a cab or whatever, I'll drop you off. Get back to that awful job of yours." His voice erupted in surprise. was about to ask,

"What did you-" Then suddenly my attention went to the way he was running his fingers through his smooth hair, he interrupted me. Shocked as to... For a while, I did nothing except gape at it. "What? You've had enough of cursing at me, right?"

So, he was the one who inquired. "...God. WHY?! As in, "Why did I run into you?" Feeling annoyed, I finally asked.

"You have to understand that if we were in love that would hurt. I'm glad we're not romantically involved with each other." His voice erupted in surprise. "...what? mean, seriously,

"What are you...talking about?" After being taken aback, I inquired.

"Yes. Those comments might sting if there were tensions in our relationship. Like watching a Korean film or whatever, you get the picture." He turned the wheel and yelled as he sounded off.

Why?! If Han Rae Jin, why then? I don't understand why you're so interested in his man. What a liar, this guy! Why?

"I already know that." His words came out of nowhere. In shock, I stared at him. Can he read my thinking or what?!

"I understand now why we were brought together..." he remarked. As in, "Why did we meet?" The question came from me.

"When you were working so hard and leaving so late then when I was trying to sell my product we collided and we met."

When he was done, that was it. "What? Also, I am aware of, "And his response was: "So why did you bother to ask?" The man was skeptical. What the heck. "I was referring to the concept of fate, destiny!" My internal voice screamed. "Oh well, I have no idea."

His tongue clicked as he spoke. "..." Silence. There's nothing I can say to this man that would make sense. "You want to get back to work, right?" A question was posed by him. I responded with a soft "... Yes... please," and then I closed my eyes. His nod prompted him to do a U-turn and return to the starting location.

The reason I informed my work firm was an urgent situation, so I sent an SMS to my coworkers about it. Everyone responded coolly, assuring me that everything was OK.

"If your coworkers are fine with you taking some time off, there's no reason to worry." I saw he was peeking at my phone and questioned when he swiftly turned his attention back to the road.

My response was icy: "Stop interfering in my life." Calm down, he yelled. It was silence from my end. That's not cool at all. I wanted to lash out at him, but there was also a tender spot in my heart for him. This whole situation made no sense at all. I only met him the day before!

And I arrived shortly after that. "So...bye." Even as ignored him and got out of the car, he said. My eyes were ice cold as I walked. Please help me forget about this.

I tried to help someone, believing they were telling the truth but instead just became a victim of a deception plan from the person I despise the most but at the same time I want to know him more. I suppose his fraud work ceased hope for us to ever meet. Who even wants to meet this scammer anyways? Jeon Jungkook, let's never meet again.
