Levelling Up
Seeing the fight end so quickly Zen was caught by surprise, but before this surprise could be developed any further he was hit by another notification.

Zen immediacy said yes but did not move forward with levelling it up or upgrading as, he had only a few upgrade point so he had left the skill be for now.

Seeing the fight end so soon, Zen looked around to see who was next, but his eye was caught by the previous fighter he had gained a skill from, he was sitting down and seemed to be cultivating, but before he could take his eyes away he received another notification.
[Host has witnessed a Medium Grade Martial skill: [Basic Qi Gathering skill] would you like to copy it?]
Zen's answer was the same, he instantly received the notif for having 5 upgrade points.
Zen did not waste anymore time, and decided to level up the cultivation method. But this time when he opened the information panel for the skill, he had to options, one was to upgrade and one was for levelling it up.
'What's the difference between levelling it up and upgrading it?'
Zen thought was noticed by the system and it instantly replied.
[Upgrading a cultivation skill will improve the purity of the Qi that is gathered, and add an additional level to the skill, whereas Levelling Up the skill will increase the speed it can gather qi at.]
[Host is recommended to upgrade the skill in order to increase the purity of your Qi, it will benefit your foundation, and lower the chances of meeting a bottleneck, it also increases the density of your Qi, which can allow you to perform skills at lower qi cost.]
Reading the system send those prompts, Zen pressed the upgrade button.
The skill went from Medium to High Grade Martial Skill, but Zen was still left with 3 upgrade points, Pressing the upgrade option again, and the skill jumped from High Grade Martial skill, to Low Grade General Skill.
The details changed to it being able to gather 20% Pure Qi, which previously was only at few percent. Zen still had 1 upgrade point left, which he invested into levelling the cultivation skill up.
As the skill levelled up, a new set of details was added. It gained the ability to boost the gathering and absorption of qi by 2.
Seeing such absurd statement from the System, Zen slowly backed away from the inner city and went back to outer area, in aims of trying to test out those absurd notifications.

Currently Zen was on his bed, sitting crossed legged, he thought of activating the cultivation method, and suddenly without even trying he felt his body pull the Qi in the surrounding into his body, and slowly guide it towards his dantain.
Before he could even feel the effects of qi entering his dantian, he activated [Profound Body Strengthening Technique].
Time passed, Zen constantly felt the qi in the air enter his body, and then the impurities of qi being forcefully pushed out.
30 minutes passed, zen received a notif.
[Host has cultivated for 30 minutes, + 2 Exp]
30 minutes of running the Profound Body Strengthening Technique has resulted in sweat covering Zen's whole body, with certain spot stained with a black fluid. At the 30 minute mark, the Profound Body Strengthening Technique was deactivated as he did not have anymore qi to support the usage of the technique.
Which resulting in Zen using, his normal speed for cultivation, the normal speed he was using seemed to not be able to give him any exp, as 30 minutes once again passed but there was no notif for Zen gaining exp.
But In that 30 minute his Qi had recovered once again, allowing him to activate Profound Body Strengthening Technique.

Hearing those words Zen instantly used the 5 upgrade points to upgrade his cultivation speed by one , and the rest into his cultivation method, in aims of upgrading it to a higher level.
Checking out his status, he noticed that the Basic Qi Gathering had still not changed from being Basic, despite becoming a high Grade General skill, with its ability of being able to provide 40% pure Qi, and multiply his cultivation by 4 times.

His new upgrades had resulted in his cultivation speed becoming faster by 4 times.
Zen waited for his Qi to recover, whilst waiting, he did not cultivate, he wanted to experience the full effects of his new upgrades and see what the result was.
30 minutes passed and his Qi had recovered.
His body Strengthening technique and cultivation technique host activated at once.
And 30 minutes later he received a notification.

Previous he would only gain 2 Exp but now it had jumped to 8. His cultivation speed had increased by 10 due to the body strengthening technique, 4 due to the level of his cultivation, another 2 due to the purity of the Qi he gathered jumping from 20% to 40%. His cultivation speed was 80 times his normal, meaning he would have only gotten 0.1 exp each 30 minute with normal methods.
Despite cultivating for 30 minutes his qi hadn't ran out, so he could only continue cultivating until the morning which he still had a few hours left of.
