"Woah-", Liam stumbled, feeling dizzy as he watched his HP and MP drop rapidly once again. However, this wasn't a problem anymore as Liam ate more food and managed to get his health back up to a decent amount.
[HP:280
MP:250]
"Good enough", said Liam as he brushed the food crumbs of off his hands.

"Well this skill is certainly interesting", Liam remarked, "It even requires a name? How strange"
Liam tapped his chin thoughtfully as he tried to come up with a good name. Something quick and cool but still carried an air of wisdom. Suddenly, Liam remembered a story his father had told him one time about an old god of war known for his wisdom and tactical skill in battle.
Liam smirked a little as he typed in the name and another system notification appeared.
[«Notice»
-The named skill <Odin> is now fully operational]
"Good" said Liam with a nod, "Now let's see...Odin?"
[Ding]
[ODIN: Yes, Master? How may I assist you?]
"Wow! That's cool!" Liam exclaimed excitedly. Odin's voice sounded just like the world system's but it was different in the sense that, it was like Liam's own little system. A personal A.I.!
Liam calmed himself and said, "I need a proper strategy to take out some high level monsters"
[Ding]
[ODIN: There are no nearby threats in the vicinity. Please get either yourself or a familiar within 300 meters of the threat]
"Oh right, I forgot", said Liam before he turned to Sky. She seemed to understand almost immediately and took off without Liam saying anything.
Using 'paired senses', Odin carefully observed the strange tree monsters and carefully analyzed and weighed every factor it could come up with before formulating a strategy.
[ODIN: Strategy complete. Please proceed according to these instructions...]
Liam couldn't help but smile as he took out his sword and walked back into the forest, his familiars all following close behind him.
"Alright! Time for Round 2!"
°
Back at the clearing with all the tree monsters, the strange creatures had already settled back into the ground after accepting that their prey had gotten away. Unbeknownst to them, Liam was already back in their presence once more just a few steps away.
This time with the aid of Seph, his rainbow lizard familiar, who rested silently on his shoulder. Liam was truly glad he had decided to capture this familiar because of it's skill 'camouflage' that allowed the little lizard to become invisible along with whatever it was touching.
Liam had completely overlooked this ability and would have continued to do so if not for Odin's prompt for him to make use of the skill. He really had much to learn.
Putting those thoughts aside, it was time to put Odin's plan into play. Liam closed his eyes and took a deep breath before he rushed forward with his sword raised.
SLASH!
SLASH!
SLASH!
"GRUUUGH!" he sliced the three monsters closest to him, opening deep gushing wounds in their trunks. A sickly green looking liquid oozed out of them, staining the forest floor.
The three trees looked from side to side in confusion, looking for the culprit behind the attack. This caught the attention of the rest of the monsters and they too joined in the search. Seeing this, Liam ordered Razor to attack.
"HROOW!" the fanged monkey cried enthusiastically and immediately sprang into action. His job was jump from tree to tree and attack with his claws to draw all their attention.
And with his two skills 'Shred' and 'frenzy', as well as his high agility, Razor made quick work of them. Soon all the monsters were covered in claw marks and trying to catch him. Once Liam was sure that all of the tree monsters were angered, he lifted his invisibility.
"Razor, over here!" Liam called. The monkey wasted no time, rushing to his side and mounting his back. Seeing a new target, the tree monsters began to creep in on Liam but he stood his ground.
"Not yet...", said Liam as they inched closer, "Not yet..."
Once he saw that they were only a meter apart, Liam grinned as he said, "Switch, activate!"
Immediately, Liam vanished from the spot where he stood and in his place towered a massive hulking fanged boar. Ralph pawed at the ground impatiently, glaring at his prey with a glint of rage.
"Enhance, activate", said Liam, who now stood behind some regular trees ten meters away, "Ralph, Rampage"
With a loud snort, Ralph obeyed and charged at the tree monsters. With Liam's 'enhance' skill boosting his power, Ralph managed to trample over most of the unfortunate creatures. Some even snapping like twigs under his hooves.
CRACK!
CRACK!
CRUNCH!
"GRUUOGH!" cried the tree monsters in pain.
In just one attack, Liam had managed to destroy more than half their number while heavily damaging the rest. To finish them off, Liam worked together with Kai. Blasting the monsters with fire before he came in and cut them down with his sword.
This time his thoughts were clear and he wasn't afraid. Liam calmly cut down all the monsters and finished them off without hesitation. The clearing was soon littered with dead branches and the ground was stained with ugly green ooze.
Despite all this, Liam stood amongst everything with a smile plastered on his face.
